We tried to use the phone to call the office but the phone didn’t work. There was no dial tone so you couldn’t even call 911 if needed to. We also found big cockroaches. The steps to the second floor were just about completely broke. When we went to shower there was no hot water

Very overpowering smell of incense throughout the hotel. Did not appear to be an elevator to 2nd floor. Stairs were very dirty. Mattress was uncomfortable and we were only given 2 very skinny pillows. Comforter was torn and sewn poorly. Batteries in tv remote were dead. There was only a side table on one side of the bed. Nobody was present to check us out at 8am. We rang for assistance and waited almost 10 minutes.

Basic place to sleep. I was staying overnight to go fishing next morning. Room was clean and all I needed. Price was very low. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful. Had coffee at 4:30 AM and got ice for my cooler.

TL;DR: Filthy and run down. I understand that you get what you pay for, but this hotel was horrendous. First, I called a few days ahead and asked for an early check in (only by an hour, I needed to be somewhere by check in time). They looked up my reservation and said it wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived, they had no idea what I was talking about and that no rooms were available yet. Then they couldn’t get in touch with house keeping to check for a room. It took over 20 minutes to finally figure out what was going on and to check in. This is where I should mention that the lobby was locked and you had to communicate from a hallway through thick glass. I was also told at one point that dogs were not allowed in the lobby and was asked to wait outside. Very strange for a dog-friendly hotel. The room itself was filthy (see images). Dust and cobwebs in corners, dirty sheets (I slept on top), cigarette burns in the comforter, the bathtub didn’t drain, and the bed was stiff and old. The room and entire motel were just generally run down and in disrepair. I would have been fine with the inconvenience and bed at the price, but the filth and general lack of care for any part of the property was too much.

This hotel is definitely rough. It’s one of those places you take in a pinch or you are on an extremely tight budget! It’s the bare minimum!

It would have been ok, but the deadbolt on door would not work.., and it looked like cockroaches were in the bathroom and around sink… if you laid towel down them pick it up, 4 or 5 roaches would run

One night stay. Room was spacious and seemed clean. Check in agent could have been friendlier but she was fast and efficient. A man came in the office and gave a friendly welcome. Parking right in front. No elevator to 2nd floor (not a problem, but if you have a lot of luggage, ask for 1st floor). Convenient location for us. Would stay again.

After a VERY long day at work I wanted a hot shower and there was no hot water. This is the second time this has happened. There were also little roaches in the bathroom, IN THE BED, and 5 dead bugs smashed into the wall.

One of the better Motel 6’s we’ve stayed at. We like them because no fees for dogs and usually the doors are outside, much easier to get in and out when your pup has to go potty. Slight smoke odor in the room but that’s to be expected at a motel. Very reasonably priced and clean. Easy check in process.

For a one night stay it was OK. It is a budget hotel and it reflects it. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The bathroom was dated and towels thin. If you needed to stay more than one night, there are plenty of options in the area.

On a quick trip to the coast. It was close to the beaches and rather inexpensive. Would stat at the property a half mile away in the future. Cheaper and close to the same atmosphere and cleanliness. This was as expected for a lower priced motel

Stains were present on the quilts and the bathroom towels. Some lights in the room did not work or the outlets. Room had a damp smell to it, possibly mold. Overall wouldn't reccomend.

Whenever I schedule it says that was a smoking room, than it give me an option to request a nonsmoking room, but when I checking that wasn’t a nonsmoking room available, that was very bad, that was the most disgusting experience ever, sorry but I don’t have any other way to discribe my stay.

As soon as I walked in the room there was a nasty smell. I picked a non-smoking room and all i could smell was cigarettes, a musty smell and the bathroom was outdated and the toilet was dirty. There were ants in the bathroom. I booked for 2 nights but checked out early morning the following day because I woke up to two cockroaches on the wall. I was absolutely mortified. I would never come here again.

They charged me for two rooms. They took my cash And used my credit card too The manager won’t respond to my calls and won’t call me back on it. It’s been five days. I will never go back there again.

Fairly close to Main Street in Niantic where there is a nice "boardwalk", dining, shops and the world's best used bookstore

The hotel was conveniently located off the highway and price was reasonable. Late-night check-in was efficient, but it was somewhat disconcerting that the staff member was behind a plexiglass barrier. Room itself was a decent size. Bed was small and uncomfortable though and bathroom didn’t appear to have been cleaned - there were urine stains on the toilet and hair in the shower.

So cute well kept room. The AC was awesome. Tv was great. Had a fridge and mic. The only problem was the bed. Very uncomfortable bed. Also only had two pillows for two people when the bed sleeps a supposed 3.

Bed had hair. Roach found near bathroom. Toilet was dirty and had hair. Customers deserve more respect. Cheap doesn’t mean free, still paying for a descent place. Really disappointed.

Pictures are from when it was renovated. Older condition now. Lobby is on lock down all the time. Never open. Must use night window. For the money good deal. Not dirty, but rooms are very basic.

Need to hire check in clerks who are not brain. Gave her my photo id, and she played on computer for at least 10 minutes then came back and asked for my id again. When I reminded her I gave it to her 10 minutes ago, she said -OH. Cement on walkway, is totally chopped up.

The room smelled like smoke and when I asked them to change my room, I was put in another room that smelled like smoke. Sheet had a cigarette burn and not so clean.

This place shouldn’t even get 1 star. Person at check in was totally disengaged and disinterested in her job. Later, finding no shampoo or any other toiletries, went to desk to see if they had any, none and no apologies or offers to get some. It appears this place is also a homeless shelter of sorts, as very scruffy looking folks were shuffling around and sitting out front in chairs drinking and smoking. Just a seedy place.

Cockroaches was the first thing i saw ratty everything dirty sheets...paid 90 dollars for a night and would not take a shower did not bring my luggage in and actually slept in my car because the sheets and bedding were dirt stained and ratty i was so uncomfortable and grossed out i know there is nothing that will be done for my horrible experience and i stay in hotels of this range all the time but hopefully i can save anthor person from this place that should not be allowed to even sell rooms or be open. I have stayed in other motel 6s all over and even given their reputation this one makes every other property look 5 star status

Rooms were not nearly as nice as the pics on website. Room had a funky smell that never went away even after buying air freshners. Beds were hard, no chairs or any sitting space, very dark and dreary even with every light on. Shower was fantastic, however on our last morning the hot water pump went out in the middle of the night and they couldn't get it fixed till later that day.
