We had two rooms, 215, 216. 216 was ok but 215 as soon as you walked in you were overcome with the smell of mold and the room was extremely hot. We turned the heat down and waited a little bit but it did not get any better . My husband went down and they moved us a few rooms down but that room the toilet would flush and there was mold on the ceiling. This hotel has a ton of water damage and it looks s though their fix for that is to just paint over it. I wont stay here again if we come back.

The hotel staff was very nice and polite. Our stay was pleasant as well. It's just an older hotel... Needs some remodeling on the outside and inside... Paint goes a long way... The bathtubs have rust in them which can be fixed with paint from home depot... I know because I've had to do the same thing before.

The entire hotel smells like garbage, and roaches were inside the room and outside too. We decided to leave right away and the front desk agent refused to refund us the money.

It was an amazing trip and get away from everyday stress. I always love this hotel for the views and convience of everything. The hotel is starting to show signs of wear with cracks on the walls. There were a few roaches scattering the hallways, but didnt see any in our room. The bed was firm for my liking but overall slept pretty good. Breakfast was a good little spread too. The staff is always very friendly and helpful!

The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the beach. The staff is very friendly. Parking and breakfast were free. The hotel is not in great condition. My room smelled like mold.

This hotel met our needs for a single night stay. Checkin was quick and parking was ample. The room had two queen beds and enough space to move around with a tv, fridge and decent bathroom. What made us score this hotel lower was the bugs in our room. There were no less than six roaches in our room during our stay and that was a turnoff. The hallways didn’t seem super clean either. Breakfast was ample but the yogurt was plain without anything to jazz it up and the selection of items could have been better.

I loved sitting on the balcony. Only toast for breakfast. And the room had roaches

The stay at the hotel was a good one. We slept well although it was motorcycle weekend. The room was big and had a couch so we had plenty of room.

Well first of all I had a booking with a room for a balcony since the brochures says it had awesome view but what view did I have a parking lot for next door hotel view no ocean view what so ever then bad enough when I walk into the room it smell completely like fish odor, the view of the room was plain Jane. But worse of all the door was broken would not lock at all, any one can just push the door to steal our stuff. But luckily they did offer to fix it and they tried but still was broken then they offer another room. Now at least that room didn’t smell like fish but I did luck out of the money I paid for because no balcony. I was hoping they would offer me some money back for the trouble I was having for a room especially no balcony I paid for but no. The view of the room was nice and restroom was nice too but omg the water pressure of the shower was not so nice. Was hours in that shower before I was able to say I was clean. But other then that would I give it another try to book again in this hotel, for maybe a night or two but for a whole week for a family vac trip nope.

At first the clerk wasn't going to let me check in because my husband made the reservation. He was deployed & I was meeting him for the w/e. The manager allowed me to check in. The room was nice, it was basically clean but lots of smudges in places where it should have been cleaned. The condition of the hotel isn't that good. One of the TVs didn't work, after we told them, they fixed it. However, the door bolt did not work. The water pressure in the shower was poor. I was surprised at these things since the hotel had an excellent rating.

This hotel is our favorite place to stay when we go to Galveston. It's always clean, staff is friendly and their rates are lower than most. Its a beautiful hotel at an affordable price! Win-win

I always stay at this hotel before going on a cruise. I really like where the cars are parked while I am gone and I feel confident nothing will happen in my absence. However, this trip I was very disappointed in my room. I could see roaches in my room while I was there. I purchased a pizza and the next day I opened the box to finish eating it. There were several roaches covering the remaining pieces of pizza and also some outside the box. I informed the desk clerk. She stated since the hurricane they have been having problems with bugs and roaches. When I told the desk clerk, they stated they will spray the room. In addition, this hotel has an average breakfast at best. I used to love staying on the weekends because they always had biscuits and gravy. I was in there a week later, after my return from a cruise, there were none showing and this was a Sunday. Normally, I stay here because of the location. Also, they only charge $20 to watch your car while you are on a cruise. I will probably give this place another opportunity down the road. However, I would reconsider another hotel in the future when I stay here for a cruise.

This place was a roach motel. The free breakfast consisted of cold eggs and stale pastry, even the juice tasted funny.

Very nice, not the cleanest, but not bad either. The worst part about this hotel is the dampness from the Sea. I guess there isn’t much they could have done about that. Overall the hotel was pretty nice and the price was great seeing it was a very busy weekend.

The room was very clean. The only issue was both doors in the parking area under the hotel had problems allowing access to the elevators. The key card would not open the doors. We had to walk a long way around back to the front of the building to get into the hotel. We told the individual at the desk about the problem. She said that we weren't the first to report this problem and maintenance was notified, and there was nothing else that she could do. The issue was still there the next day and the day after. This is a safety issue that needs to corrected ASAP.

This is a piece of trash of a hotel. Rooms are not like pics. ROACHES RUSTY TUBS DIRTY FLOORS ETC….. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless really need a place. It’s more so an extended stay and anyone and everyone with a dollar can stay. The smell is horrifying. It was my wedding night booked online got there and regretted it 2 hr drive for TRASH

Everything was very good, including cleanliness, front desk service, breakfast room and all. Second time staying here and wasn't disappointed either time.

Clean rooms- balcony looks out to the ocean. Only problem I had was the hot water was Luke warm but one phone call and I was bathing in lava in no time (my preference). They accommodated my service dog with 0 issues- a rarity. Will be back!!

As a hotel on the beach, it was worth it. But that was about the only thing good about it. Laminate floors in the bedrooms, so that when they were wet( which happens after swimming or showers) you slid- no so safe with kids. Flooring was wrapped and coming up. The railing on our 3rd floor balcony was broken, so we didn’t let our kids out there. Breakfast was a joke. Waffles and cold cereal.

Where to begin? When I booked I chose to pay at the time of arrival. I received a notification about 1:30pm the day that they tried to charge my card but I had my card locked. I called them and was told if I didn’t pay right then they would cancel my room (and they tried to charge more on my card). I argued with them that I planned on pay when I got there not before. They said the owner said I had to pay now. I asked to speak to the owner or someone hirer up then she came back on the line and said she put a not on the room that we would pay when we arrived. The small of the room was so bad and strong it made my Asthma flare up. The Ac leaks all over the floor see pics attached. The staff was very rude. There was a smell that was so bad that it bothered me all night

The best thing about the hotel is how close it is to the beach. The rooms were musty, the doors were hard to shut, the TV didn’t have many channels, and the floors were FILTHY. My 1yo crawled around the room for an hour or so and his feet/knees were black. The beds aren’t super comfy - pretty springy. But I mean, for the price, I guess that’s what you get.

I should have stayed at another hotel. The reviews are correct. I did not have an oceanfront room and breakfast is continental-like except for eggs.
