Room dated but clean. Breakfast average , we arrived late the night before so had to book latest breakfast slot so items ran out.

Checkin was efficient in terms of taking details and giving passes. No detail on the hotel, restaurant, bar and pool was given. I asked what time the hotel restaurants close - was told 10pm. That night we found out only the mobbed buffet restaurant was open. Not an issue if we had known as we would have gone elsewhere. So service at reception needs to be looked at.
The hotel pool and communal areas are lovely - the rooms let the hotel down. They need updating and the bathrooms renovated. Towels in the bathroom were threadbare.TV had very few channels, not even bbc worldwide.
I would go back, but I’d be wary if the price you pay and what’s open - we travelled in peak (July).
Overall a good 3 star option - def not a 4 star as the rooms let the property down.

The dining choice is limited. Only the buffet area in the hotel no more options. If you want more choice you can hire taxi to nearest restaurant. It will be €14-15 oneway

Terrible experience with this hotel. It is not our first stay here and we had an amazing memories from last time. However, this time it was a complete fail.
First of all, rooms are so outdated and worn. In the first room sockets and table lamps were not working. We asked to change the room and got the room with not working shower and falling metal handles. Secondly, rooms are dirty. We stayed 5 nights and the floor was not properly mopped in any of them. All furniture was dusty and filthy. Overall impression of the hotel was - old and worn. Doesn’t worth the money at all
I have mixed feelings about service. Some people were trying to help but the effectiveness of their help was poor. Most people do not speak English (however the description of the hotel suggests they speak many languages). The check in was horrible, we shall wait for our room for half an hour after check in time. Next day before we moved to another room, we were kinda “homeless” until 3.30pm. Which I don’t believe was fair as we paid for this time to have access to the room and not just to stay in limbo.
Of course, we did not receive any of the VIP benefits. No discount was applied or even offered. No room upgrades. It was funny as we checked Expedia and saw rooms available but reception ignored it and said - no, we cannot give them. Well, then do not promise upgrades.
And a very small thing. No transfer to the park from the hotel. You need to walk about 15 minutes under the sun. Small but annoying thing

Was very disappointed with the water feature between the two pools, it was dirty, green sludge, it could have been made beautiful with fountains and illumination, instead it was a breading ground for midges and mosquitos - really spoiled the look and ambiance of the hotel, It was nothing like the pictures portrayed.
Was disappointed at having to pay extra to use the water park which cost another 125 Euros on top of what we had already paid.
Disappointed that we had to pre-book dinner and breakfast slots, and only had 40 minutes to eat and go for breakfast, and an hour for dinner. Felt like you had to rush your food and get out quickly ready for the next load of people to come in.
This also meant, that you had to plan your days around your meal times, which impacted which shows you could or could not get to see in the Parks during the evening. It really did limit our freedom to come and go, it was very restrictive.
Spent 20 Euros to store luggage before our rooms were ready - have never had to pay store luggage at any hotels ever before,
This was not a genuine 4 star hotel, more like a 3 star, it was a bit run down, the best part was the two swimming pools, but that was it.
No entertainment during the day, and only a mini disco at night for children.
Accommodation layout reminded us of Butlins chalets.

Everything you have to wait. Lunch is bad because you have ro enrer the park and walk for 1 hour an wait for half an hour to get our turn . The food is the same in breakfast and dinner. The waiting in the park in terrible we cant play with the game sbeacuse of the waiting time (hours) . No animation time .

Check in took forever as reception constantly understaffed. Room keys didn’t work for lots of people which caused confusion and further delays.
Rooms outdated and need a refurb, long walking distance to rooms and rooms are noisy. I do not recommend

No towels in room at all, no one would bring me any……asked ME, to walk to reception to get them
Couldn’t check in until after 5pm!!!!!

The hotel was ideally located for the attractions next door however there was a big price to pay for this. Our first night there was excessively loud music until past 1130pm and the 2nd night our sleep was repeatedly disturbed by rowdy Spanish guests, particularly school groups, who were either arriving late or returning from an evening out. Suffice to say, we won’t be returning.

Staying at the Caribe Hotel was lovely. They had 2 pools to choose from, whereby one was beach themed. The food was really nice and they had a great selection. You could walk to the theme park which was ideal. The only downside was that there were no trolleys to help take your luggage to your room which would have been nice.

When we arrived at Hotel Caribe Portaventura they gave us a tiny smelly and ugly room. After complaining they gave us a normal room.
It’s a big resort hotel but outside of breakfast and dinner they o it have a pool
bar open which sells food and drinks. It took me 45 minutes to get a coke, 2 waters and 2 ice cream costing over €20. In that time they only managed to serve 7-8 people. Some days were better but some days were not.
Guests could not wear sunglasses at the pool unless they had a cable attached. Stupid rule and ruined my fun each time I went to the pool. I need them to see.
I made a complaint about the above and Portaventura felt that 3 free drinks vouchers made up for it. You can only use them for beer or soft drinks.

I liked that it was close to the park. The hsve lovely swimming. But the room was not clean at all. Bathroom was worse .

Super experience from start to finish. Went with older children and a great location. Hotel was clean although got a little busy at mealtimes but that’s to be expected.

The room was lovely , with a good view of the swimming pool, the food was great very good selection , the only bad thing was the cleaners. When we got to the room there was no hand soap , no shower gell and no shampoo all dispensers were empty, we askedthe cleaners for showegel 4 times but never got any. This was areal pity cause everything else was great

The salted swimming pool is very good but the rooms very old need a refurbishment
The room could be better cleaned and beds a bit more properly made , sheets stretched etc
For me all around was not a real 4 stars level
Pay for coffee cups , drinks cups when drinking at the pools bar was not good , doesn’t make sense
When we booked we should be told that the FB lunch is for eating at the park and not in the hotel ,like we were expecting
It forces us to go to the park everyday at lunch time even if we don’t want it

The stay was amazing. Kids loved every part of it. From breakfast to pool time. It was amazing. We will be back at portaventura Hotel Caribe. The staff at the breakfast time was so lovely and helpful. Even with the language barrier they catered to our requirements. A chef called “Monica” at the pancake station made my daughter fall in love with the pancakes. She made her flower shaped and Minnie shaped pancakes and my daughter who is a fussy eater kept going for more! The day we were leaving that lady still remembered us and was offering to make my daughter her favourite pancakes despite being so busy at the station. Her little action of affection made my daughter so happy. She (Monica) deserves all the appreciation and recognition for her lovely personality. Thanks a lot Monica, we will always remember you.

Not really on property, it is a mile walk to the park entrance. Two miles to the big coasters and NO SHUTTLE! Very poor communication, even considering the language barrier . This is basicly a “Motel/ Motor lodge with separate buildings that you can NOT park near. No bell service, not allowed to even drop your bags and park the car, Felt like a second class/ low class experience the whole stay. Too many small things wrong to even mention . The big ones , The room smelled bad even after two cleanings, the breakfast/ meal service was disorganized and barely acceptable, checkin and purchase of park upgrades was underwhelming , Made me feel like some how they were doing me a favor for letting me stay there! Not focused at all on customer experience. Just going through the motions Very below expectations

The holiday was great, It would have been nice to know in advance that the hotel was changed. It was a bit frustrating on the first day the hotel not having any recollection of the booking.

Decent hotel. Meals a bit of a nightmare as you have to pre book for the entire stay and no availability. Taps were hanging out the wall in the room and aircon didn’t work. Check in is long winded. Apart from that nice place and ideal for the parks

Due to it being Easter holiday the hotel was manic with visitors mainly using PortAventura. There was supposed to be 5 restaurants but only one was open. The pool was shut. PortAventura however was brilliant.

Dirty walls, dirty floors, not even water in the room. Had to pay €2.20 a bottle for water!!!!

Check in although busy was fast and super friendly. Guest services couldn’t have been more helpful. The family room was a fantastic size with plenty room for us all. The grounds and pool areas are really well maintained and we had a fantastic stay. The only negative was the buffet dining room, loud, overly bright lighting and difficult to order a drink owing to how busy it was. We opted to pay extra and utilise a la Carte dining as much as possible to avoid.

There were several people who were clearly racist which left a bad taste on the overall holiday.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful .I think you should get better bacon ,but apart from that everything was brilliant .
