The hotel is in very poor condition. Old not not well maintained. Far from a 5 star hotel as they claim. We stayed at floor 25 and it smelled horrible. In the hallway it smelled of super strong soap, and in the room it smelled like mold. The pool was closed as it was under maintenance. But I could see no signs of actual work being done there. Looked like it was just closed. My suggestion would be to spend your money elsewhere. Like the Sheraton a block away.

Stayed here a few times and its always good, they are renovating the hotrel so lobby is smaller and pool closed. If I had known the pool was closed I may have booked elsewhere but it was not mentioned when booking via a third party. Staff are good always pleasant and hotel is clean.

Pool not available due to renovation work but this wasn’t clear when booking. So a bit pricey considering that.

Hotel under renovation, facilities are closed which is fine. But the room sound proofing is poor, was woke up by people talking during midnight 2 plus am and 5 plus am for consecutive two days even they were back to room after they had closing of the door.

Second stay at New Coast Hotel after a brief trip outside Manila. Good enough stay the first time to go back.
What brought me back: the view and spaciousness of a Bay View Suite, particularly since I was bumped to a higher floor. Staff friendliness and professionalism. Special thank you to Jennifer in housekeeping for going beyond expectations consistently. The security and greeters were always friendly and welcoming. Overall a solid experience at a reasonable pricepoint.
What wasn't as good as my first visit: the shower wouldn't drain. [I think this room was one that had yet to be rennovated since the hotel was bought from Hyatt. There was a lot of caulk and spackle in various places throughout the room] A couple of the in-room dining meals were not good at all, particularly since the same meals ordered during the previous visit were excellent. Housekeeping wasn't thorough when Jennifer had days off.
My next trip to Manila I'll likely return to New Coast Hotel, but with slightly lowered expectations.
PS The exterior photos of the New Coast hotel are a bit misleading. There is a towering hotel the next block over-- not in the hotel rendering-- that partially obscures the view of Manila Bay.

I stayed in a Bay View Suite.Good view of Manila Bay and sunsets. The size of the room was exceptional at the pricepoint. Room was comfortable & quiet. Guest services were always responsive with any request. Housekeeping was excellent, thanks in particular to Arvin's attention to detail and thoroughness. The in-room dining was hit & miss, with about half of the items I tried to order not being available (but reasonable giving the recent typhoon flooding).
Overall my stay was so good that when I returned to Manila the following week I cancelled my other hotel and returned to the New Coast Hotel.
PS The hotel exterior photos are misleading. There is another tall hotel beside the New Coast that blocks a good portion of the bay view.

A little bit saw that the pool area was closed and the noise during the breakfast from the renovation made it hard tp hold a conversation at times. The room however is Well maintainef and spacioys. The staff is very service minded. Even if you just want a glass woth ice cubes they run it up tp your room at no extra charge. All the samples males the stay easy s ypu dont have to remember every little thing. We will definatly return

Security check at the front was a bit useless. There was no comb and we had to ask for a second toothbrush for a 2 person stay.

The place is nice, clean and spacious. Location is accessible and near to restaurants and mall. Though we were not given a chance to be placed on a room in front of manila bay as we requested. We slcelebrated our anniversary here and received a fruit platter as complimentary (thank you). However, 2 weeks before we booked, thwre is a pool access which is one of our reason why we booked here however, upon checking in that's the only time we were informed that the pool is under construction. We got disappointed as we are looking forward to celebrate and relax here thru swimming which did not happened. I hope you will inform your guests ahead of time if some amenities are not available or at least remove it from the list of amenities in the booking app. The purpose of our staycation did not happened because of it as we were not informed ahead.

Under renovation for a long time. Knew about it 2 months plus before arriving. Still not done. No swimming pool, small reception area, no coffee / tea/ drink etc at the reception area.
However, great service at the dinning area. Friendly staff.

Only downside are the windows. They need to be properly maintained as the room I got looked like it hasn’t been wiped from the outside for years already. Overall, a really good place to stay in.

An amazing 2D1N trip that I wish we could have extended. The partial ocean view was great enough to see from the high floor, and the sunset was beautiful. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room is clean and tidy, bathtub was amazing to soak into. A mall and eateries are nearby too. Only rough part is that the hotel is undergoing some renovation work during the day, but otherwise 10/10 an excellent stay. I look forward returning to stay here again in future.

This is not a 5* hotel. On arrival there were 6 staff trying to take my bag off me between the entrance and reception, too much! The pool is out of order and there are a lot of renovations going on which is not reflected in the price. The rooms are dated. Every time I entered the hotel the security staff seemed overzealous, searching my bag and quizzing me on my room number, I'm happy they do this but they don't need to act like I'm a criminal in the process. Attention to detail you would expect in 5* is just not there.
I woke up with an awful headache and feeling quite sick, my room stunk of petrol fumes pumped out of the air con. When I reported this the duty manager came to my room, agreed there was an awful smell of fumes and moved me to another room. When I asked for a partial refund I was told they had been back to the room and the smell had gone. I advised this was because I had turned the air con off and I was not happy with the back tracking!
A letter was pushed under my door which offered a free breakfast (I don't eat it which is why I hadn't booked it) and a late check out (which was already included in my booking). It has taken quite some back and forth to gain a partial refund (which I haven't yet seen in my account) as I felt quite ill for over 24 hours after sleeping in fumes and 48 hours later I still don't feel quite right. Although I am now receiving a partial refund they made it quite clear it was from the booking company and not them.

Disappointing Stay at New Coast Hotel
Review: I was totally disappointed with my stay at the New Coast Hotel. The area is surrounded by KTV bars, giving the whole vibe of a cheap casino hotel in downtown Las Vegas. The hotel is being remodeled, but it felt depressing. At breakfast, while the food was good and plentiful, the presence of roaches trying to join us was not cool. The casino was really sad and only reinforced the downtown Las Vegas feel.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. The staff was excellent the entire stay. Even called me an Uber and walked me out to the car itself when it arrived.

The hotel is nice but going through renovations and the pool and poolside cafe was closed. The restaurant was a bit overpriced but nice. The 2 block walk to Robinsons mall was an adventure with torn up sidewalks. Starbucks close by was good. I walked to my appointment at the the US embassy. Bathroom was spacious and nice.
