We were booked on a game tour at 3.00 - 6.00 and then changed to 10.00 to 1.00. After 75 minutes we had not seen one animal, we then visited two waterholes and no game, and this was irresponsible and disappointing. Please ensure you keep to original bookings and 10.00 to 1.00 is not a good time for game, and Benson must be more aware of where game moves and lives. He also drove at 40kph instead of the 60kph speed limit to the Park and had no humour or communication.

- the entrance atmosphere felt a bit cold as the half of the common area including the lobby was under renovation
- they called us multiple times late evening and early morning to confirm safari details e.g. time or dietary requirements for the lunchbox.. all of this could have been done upon checkin (which we asked) instead of their convenience of time
- email responses weren’t particularly helpful so we had to repeat or chase for a few times
- upon checkin, they informed that the breakfast is USD 30, to which we referred to our booking including breakfast.. otherwise we would’ve been charged unnoticed
Nevertheless, we had a really good deal on hotels.com so it was still good for value. The environment is so peaceful and serene, the room was comfortable and their safari guides were professional.

The rooms are renovated and tastefully decorated. The public areas are currently being done and will be fabulous when completed mid year. The setting is amazing and the staff very friendly.

This place is a RIP OFF. Breakfast was $60.00. What a joke! It did have some animals at the watering hole, I guess cos they don’t need wallets. I booked it through Expedia and they thought it was hotels.com This is why I paid for breakfast I think. Expedia included breakfast. Basically they just want your money and don’t care how they get it. Zimbabwe barge in US dollars and don’t have change, it’s so poor that street people are rife. Very Sad. In conclusion, done use this place and go to Botswana, SUCH a different attitude and you will save 10 fold. This of course is without presiding e and my opinion only! Good luck travelers 😀

The lodge was great with the night visit from elephants and loads of other animals out front. The visit being in the low season didn't affect quality of the game drive but the numbers were low but some good quality views in terms of variety.

Excellent lodge to stay at when visiting Hwange National Park. The hotel is falling apart though and needs a proper room by room gut renovation. We had to switch rooms twice, and late at night, the first night we were there. The third room we got, at which point we were upgraded, was great but not at 23:00 when you have a 06:30 full day safari the next day.
The hotel should do a gut renovation in groups of rooms at a time otherwise the reviews will struggle to be 5* (when they really should be but animals and safari drives are not part of a hotel's/lodge's reviews).

We only stayed at this lodge for one night. We drove up from Bulawayo and found the sign for the lodge quite easily. Parking is onsite but isn't watched, and out in the open.
Lodge is slightly outdated. Our front door knob of room 245 could be replaced. Also the bathroom wasn't quite clean and could use a refurbish. We had a household of ants walking in our room that came through the bathroom tiles. No safe inside the room. The phone wasn't working. Also the mosquito net had plenty of holes in them.
Meal we had at the buffet was nice but pricey at 25 dollars.
Staff was amazing though. We arrived two hours early but our room was ready for us. Friendly and helpful. The rooms look out on a watering hole where you can find all types of animals walking in and out daily. Seats are locating inside the room so you can sit and watch. It was nice and quiet inside the room even though we saw they were doing maintenance just a few rooms ahead of us.

Good pool, good service.. Older style bathroom. We organized a taxi driver from Vic Falls to stay with a friend in Hwange for two nights to get us there and back (US$250). Maybe they could organize a bus transfer there and back. Morning and evening 3hour safari tours were good.

From start to finish this trip was outstanding! I emailed the lodge months in advance to arrange multiple trips and the staff were always eager to make it the best stay. Over email they told me they will arrange the trips I want to do with the days Im staying. So sweet!!I also requested an anniversary dinner to be set up, they told me to leave it with them. Coming up to the dinner I was nervous because no one had said anything about it! Well I was just as surprised as my partner! The effort that went into this dinner was just breathtaking. The manager arranged our table to be secluded at the pool with loads of candles surrounding, also right beside the fence which meant the elephants were so close while eating our dinner! AMAZING.Not only was the set up of our dinner breathtaking as it was, the waiter we had specifically for our table was brilliant as well! I can actually say he was the best waiter I have seen throughout Victoria Falls and Hwange! so well done. AND to top it all off, the lodge gave us a bottle of champagne on the house! No words, seriously. The really done a fantastic job!!The lodge also provide game drives into Hwange national park so you can see the BIG 5! We went on a game drive throughout the day and thought it was great. The guide stops off and gives you drinks and snacks so you don't have to bring your own.The rooms are absolutely gorgeous as well with an amazing view overlooking a waterhole so you can see a rangeof animals coming to drink

A fantastic hotel, With a water hole just outside the Windows where you can see a lot of Wild animals during the afternoon coming to drink.
Very Nice Food and a great staff - a wide selection of wine. We enjoyed the stay, and it's not the first time we do. Been here before and will for sure be back.
Easy to book a safari trip in the park, but unfortunatly Our friends we brought did not see to many animals due to bad weather (rain).
A very good wifi in addition - and a great breakfast after Our safari.

The lodge is in need of a touch up. The toilet kept running, the bath needed replacing and the kettle had a white ring around it on the inside. On the flipside the air con was fsntastic and the bed super comfy.

One of the best family holiday resorts we thoroughly enjoyed. The only one problem was the cost of their meals and other services. The food for dinner costed $25 per person yet it was a simple and mass produced buffet. They also charged us $10 for our 4-year old's breakfast although we paid for BB. I am still unconvinced why they charged us that for the tot. Apart from those shortcomings, we still rate the hotel overall excellent.

The hotel was nice enough, however getting there is a challenge as there are no shuttles from Victoria Falls nor is there a bus that will take you to the hotel. It is a 2 -3 hour trip to the hotel and I had to hitch a ride with a local that happened to be going to the town of Hwange and paid a premium to him so that he would take me to the hotel which was an hour from the town . Once there, the scenery is peaceful and there is a watering hole that attracts wildlife. The staff are friendly and the game drives are good but there is not much more to do there. I do not recommend a stay longer that 3 days. If you are looking to experience wider range of wildlife as well as other activities and local sites I recommend you stay at Victoria Falls.

Quiet, peaceful surroundings, unless you have school children on a school field trip arrive to disturb the serenity !
Game drives are arranged on the premises & the watering hole is great for animal watching
