Hotel was far nicer than expected, however no chance of a tea or coffee in the lounge after 9pm or before 9:30am which is strange to say the least.

Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. No complaints with anything.
3.4
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Room and common areas were clean. Great cozy room for a one night stay for solo travel. Bed was comfy. Spacious shower (which I greatly appreciate after some ridiculously small showers at other places on my trip). Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Great location.
3.4
Double room but the space on one side of the bed was ridiculously tight.
3.4
Fantistic room we had (number 39) …the only let down was the breakfast- it was expensive, cold, limited & bad quality
3.4
The hotel is in a good location near the bus station and ferry terminal

We had 2 nights at the Calendonia, the first night was planned and the room was very small and expensive. The Hotels.com site did not describe the rooms very well at all. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly.
Car trouble forced us to stay another night. This time we booked direct with the hotel and got an excellent room overlooking the harbour. Again staff were helpful and friendly

Room was nice.
Excellent breakfast.
Nice small town pub within hotel.
Across the street from the Seaford Shack.
90 seconds from Pier walkway.

Hi we were in a disabled room, on arrival I asked to be transferred to a double room, what we got was seperate beds, which wasn’t close! It was my 63rd birthday did ask to be transferred to a double room, but not available? Sorry hotel was that busy. No sink plug, no pressure hot or cold water in sink, toilet flush handle was loose, both TV’s keep losing Chanel’s! No phone in room to connect reception! We found the prices of their breakfast was actually extensive £15.00 per person !!
Very dissatisfied . Qence we just didn’t eat in hotel.

Bed and bedroom a bit on the small side, but just ok for one night, Staff helpful and EV chargers in the car park very convenient.
3.4
Great location. Staff very accommodating. Accommodation very clean and beautifully decorated.

Took it for granted there would be a lift as it was a tall building and I was on the second floor - up two flights of stairs. Apparently it is a listed building so no lift will ever be built. Shame all single rooms on ground floor had been taken. Didn’t use the bistro as it was fully booked until 9 and I couldn’t wait.
Room was a very small single but it didn’t bother me too much and I slept well.
I’m not keen on self serve breakfast but it was nice enough and staff pleasant.
The highlight was a receptionist called Georgia who carried my case upstairs when she saw my look of horror at carrying it, plus bags, up thirty stairs. Such a helpful and warm person.
Very big hotel so difficult to be personal with everyone.

Restaurant and breakfast were very good. WiFi didn’t work in the room.
3.4
Amazing staff everybody very friendly.
Lovely rooms and a great breakfast

Tiny little sink in bath that was impossible to use without splashing water on floor. Very nice, clean room, but toilet difficult to flush. Could use a lift in a 3 story building
3.4
We loved our room. It was spacious with very comfortable beds. We could hear some hall noise, but none from the other rooms. Plenty of off street parking.
3.4
It was great.

Very pleased with state and cleanliness of hotel. Rooms were well equiped and spacious, but could do with second chair. Staff friendly and food good.
3.4
It was clean. Food in restaurant was good. Room was nice. Great location for exploring further North.
3.4
Recently refurbished but still a bit tired in areas like corridors. Room was clean and comfortable.
Staff were very friendly and although the dining area is a bit like a diner, the food was excellent and sensibly priced. Be warned, there’s not much option on food locally and if a couple of coach parties are in, you’ll need to book.
Overall, decent night stop.

The rooms have been refurbished and look very modern. Bathroom was fabulous, very spacious. Our room wasnt so spacious . The floor in our room was very squeaky. Noise seemed to travel between rooms. There was also quite a bit of walking & steps to our room. We were there one night only and would stay again as it was handy for catching the morning ferry.

Comfortable stay central location

The location is good, the room was fine, nice shower and good to have a kettle. Parking was also easily available across the road. It was more expensive than we’ve paid for lovely b&b’s in our ten days of traveling the NC500.
3.4
Good hotel near port

Having stayed at the Caley a few years aho and not been impressed, I was pleasantly surprised this time round. There's a lot of effort gone into refurbing the place and it's now a pleasant place to stay. I didn't eat here as I'd eaten en route so can't comment on the dining options, which is the only reason I've given it a good rather than excellent review. Most impressed also that they have a dedicated, well surfaced and flat motorcycle parking area. A lot of thought has gone into the renovation of this hotel. Recommended.

The food at the restaurant was really good with multiple vegan options.
