A small hotel so you have quick contact to other people—but there is no good beach and no Entertainment.
There is not much choice at the buffet and on some evenings they offer a set menue and there the staff is overwhelmed.

Room was clean and cleaned daily, Limited cable TV, WIFI only outdoors, Decent attire only allowed during diner - men should wear trousers and shoes, Perfect sea view, lovely swimming pool, Quality of indoor pictures more enhanced than the actual apperance, enjoyed the waiter service by Navin and Lasoina.

Wireless connection very bad, during our stay was still raining and very windy although at west side of the island was still sunny with high temperatures. So we decided for rest of our stay rent a car and travel every day away. Food and beverages very good, all inclusive great choice. Staff friendly and helpful, evening program suitable sooner for older people. Room small with lot of lizards on the walls and only one small window in shower room even without net, to let it open for all the time, because otherwise there is moisture in the room. I was awaiting more out of all inclusive hotel. If youre older or want to use hotel only for eating options and rest of the day travel, then its good choice, but otherwise i would recommend to find rather any different place on the island.

Our experience was really nice, service provided was high standard, staff was quite pleasant, professional and promoted positive interactions. Spaces were impeccable clean, all necessary commodities were in place, room was spacious. We can say that structure and decor could benefit from an upgrade, but that would be the only thing to consider. Food, environment and professional posture are really top notch. We would leave the room and we would be swimming in the sea after 2 minutes, it’s quite lovely. We would highly recommend this hotel, was a jolly good experience.

Beach lovely but not bathable. No WiFi in rooms and then when you do get it, it drops. I had to request router reset 3 times in 4 days. Food not bad, entertainment okay, drinks okay

Simply FABULOUS!! I was soooo impressed with the service obtained and yeah all the service were kind to me...for the food menu? Simply astonished with all the varieties..African, Italian, Mauritian etc...My belly was well spoiled!!
Finally, the musicians were soooo great, I was even touched at some point and were the last one to leave the restaurant

Good hotel for those who dont want many activities in hotel, perfect beach (as we heard from locals, its one of the best beaches in Mauritius) but as a 3* Hotel its best you can get, staff is very friendly, food is wonderful, everything is clean.

Beautiful setting beach hotel and pool, clean equipt room, although kettle in an alcove with no light, towells worn , fridge stocked Dailey with water and two bottles of fizzy drink, happy helpful reception staff, resurant staff moody fed up as covering staff , as they told ,e who don't turn up and they cover without a break for two wks, breakfast nice, clean , all inclusive , but nightmare as they did a set menus four out of our six nigh stay , without enough staff, which ment you sat there for two hour, as not addiquet staff, pretty plate meals too, we left after two hours missing half or meals as fed up waiting ,Do not take trips from hotel, went to an amazing beach, BUT ate at an island with no toilet!! Rooms are large , pool not heated , cold even though temp was in 30, I wondered why no one was in pool, what a shame as I'm told by a retiring guest it use to be much better,

This was our third visit to the Silver Beach. The staff remain the best element of the hotel, their friendliness and service is outstanding. However the hotel is now in serious need of some renovation. We were unfortunate to have five days of heavy rain, which showed up the problems within the hotel. Our room leaked from the ceiling and the patio door, the shower was in a bad state. The outside "new covered areas" were badly constructed so did not offer and shelter to sit from the rain. The staff were constantly having to mop up in the dining area, leaving towels behind to stop people slipping.

Overall worth the money. Very friendly staff, good food, they can organize a taxi for trip into the island. The only issue - is far from everything apart of this everything was ok.Recomended!

What a little Gem, a few minor faults, but overall we had an excellent Honeymoon. The hotel itself is about 1hr away from everywhere else on the island! so cracking location, beautiful beach and the service was exceptional. Yes it is a 3 star, but the food is brilliant. You have a buffet and a la carte alternating most nights and over 10 days we never ate the same menus. The bar staff, cleaning staff and restaurant staff will do everything to make your stay perfect. We had a couple of issues with a single grumpy front of house member of staff, but that did not distract from an amazingly memorable stay. And yes, the wifi signal is best on the beach!! :)Room 407 needs urgent changes as the kitchen air vent ran up the side, but once moved to 402 we had a perfectly quiet room, great sea views and a wonderful stay.Extra special mention to the bar staff and restaurant staff though. Also, the entertainment is brilliant. The compare who was there every single night worked tirelessly to sing every song known to man kind as well as the local Sega dancing.Use this as a great base whilst you go an enjoy all the sites, sounds and tastes of Mauritius and you will not be disappointed.

Nice hotel that I would rate as a 3*. It only has one small pool that is not heated - but certainly needs to be, not sheltered from the wind and in a shady area making it much colder!! Staff and food excellent, they deserve 5* and made up for any niggles. Beach beautiful - but needs shelter from wind. Bearing in mind this is Mauritius, it would be much nicer if there were more activiities on offer than one pool table!! A spa (even mini spa) would be lovely, especially on the days there are 40mph gusts...loungers placed away in sheltered areas, the garden etc...and the management finally understanding the customer opinion that the evening entertainment which is in the only restaurant on site - should be nothing more than background music until guests have finished eating, rather than having to put up with Jude who believes he is the star entertainer in a Las Vegas show!! Singing at full capacity and drowning out not only guests converstions but ruining the song is not conducive to a pleasant evening meal.

Don't trust the picture on tripadvisor or other sites. The hotel does not provide amenities like shampoo. You have to buy your own from the hotel shop. Asked management about this, they said the owners decided to remove this. Our toilet did not flush for 2 days. More comfortable sleeping on the dirty floor than the bed.

Clean but basic. Nice beach with great snorkelling. Great shower in room but no ventilation for the steam. Food overall was average or poor. Desserts were terrible. Cocktails were light on alcohol but at least they had beer on tap. Nothing fancy about the hotel and though a 3 star hotel its not that cheap to dtsy there. No real lounge area in bar and so lacked any atmosphere in the evening.

The hotel isn't the most amazing one in terms of design and room furniture but really that was the least of our worries when we were there (mid-November 2011). The staff is super nice and friendly. The all-inclusive formula is amazing: awesome food and service, and drinks are included all day long.
The pool isn't amazing but who needs it when you have the beautiful beach just 10 metres away from your room. You can have a delicious breakfast then roll down to the beach, roll back up for lunch, back down again for a nap and up again for dinner!
You can also do some canoeing, snorkling and pedalo-ing!
The hotel cab drivers are nice and friendly. Cab fares are not cheap but well that's the way it is. The hotel also proposes some great excursions, the South one is worth it (swim with the dolphins, Chamarel, Trou aux Cerfs etc.) and so is Port Louis (along with Pamplemousse botanical gardens and Eureka).
The hotel is also a 10-minute walk away from Trou d'Eau Douce where you can do a bit of shopping and Centre de Flacq is accessible by bus for 25 Rupees.
The area is really nice and quiet.
It is a bit windy there but to be honest this is very welcome as it can get quite hot on the beach (beware of sun burns!).
All in all, I highly recommend this hotel.

If you can afford a 5 star stay there but if you can't this 3 star hotel will surprisingly meet your expectations. Small and friendly, quiet beach front location, superb cuisine and good service. A little gem!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in November 2007 and on the whole it was excellent, the package was all inclusive and the food offered was plentiful with a choice for all tastes, the only complaint would be that often it was not hot, especially at breakfast, the only hot things were at lunch if you opted for the dish the chefs were actually cooking as opposed to things left on hot plates which did not seem to work. one evening a 5 course meal would be served at the table which was excellent, but the following evening would then be buffet style of which cold food again. This apart drinks were freely available the location was perfect on a lovely beach within walking distance of the town and the staff were all extremely nice and could not do enough for you.You should be aware that the hotel is just over an hour from the airport by taxi and expect to pay around £30 each way for the transfer. All things considered I would return to this hotel

Just returned from the most relaxing week we have ever had. Our rooms were right next to the beach and the service and food were amazing. It really is all inclusive if you stay at the hotel with plenty of choice of food and drink available virtually all day long, but the trips organised by the hotel are excellent value for money - don't miss the all day trip to the watefall by speedboat! Be prepared to be very lazy!

The all-inclusive package offered was quite good value for money in terms of meals and comfort of the room. Not very many activities on offer however and the surrounding area was unexciting - even depressing.
