Great location, walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Hotel staff extremely friendly at check in and check out.

We had a good stay at the hotel, however the spa was dissapointing. The hotel room had a comfy bed and nice size. It was walking distance to the Main Street and was central. The resption was helpful in calling taxi for us and storing our luggage.
The spa was disappointing and since we chose this hotel mainly because of the spa, and were told in the reseption that we didn’t need to reserve, this was a downer!
There was already tree people down there, however the jacuzzi (with room for max 3-4) and the sauna with room for 2 made the space very small. Relaxing zone was dark and cold like a basement.
The temperature in the jacuzzi was on 29 degrees (cold), and the temperature in the rest of the room was also very cold.
The breakfast was decent, however with little variation, and the eggs tasted like rubber (cooked too well).
The hotel is a good option if spa is not on your list.

The room was very accommodating. Clean- fresh & quiet. Very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is amazing, and the stuff is kind and sincere. In general rooms were clean, but carpets require deap cleaning; wallpaper need some repairs.

The location is a bit cumbersome but not too bad. The surroundings could feel unsafe but I was walking late and there were families with kids walking around at that time. Close to the city centre and activities. The spa is OK. I got to use it and it was not the most relaxing experience, but the masseuse was cordial and friendly. Breakfast was pretty decent. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The shower has an issue that it is open and can flood the rest of the bathroom. Facilities were clean.

Relatively good hotel for the price and location. Close to city center, a bit of walk. Nice breakfast and nice staff.

An average experience. But needs to improve on attractivenes, satisfaction and the sheer experience. For guests. It is not welcoming. A special point on the breakfast room restaurant. Needs a refresh literally. In the morning the smell, warmth, the sticky fatty "damp" room took he appetite away. Again American [non surprising] [eggs and beans out of boxes] breakfast, i.e. horrible taste. Please skip this out-of-boxes unhealthy smelly junk for the obese and teethless. It ruins the room and experience of a real break-feast. The local food is ten times much better, healthier, rewarding. Less is more!

Really nice hotel, clean and tidy. Right in the centre so only a short walk. Abit noisy on the main road and couldn’t get the air con to work so was really warm of an evening but would definitely recommend and I would stay again.

Property was clean, staff was very helpful and pleasant. Great location, 10 minute walk to vitosha street, the main downtown strip.

I stay at new room.
Very nice and comfortable

This hotel is dated and it's quite obvious. However, a redeeming quality of the hotel is the beautifully scented sheets. Also the lady at the front desk was very helpful. It's not quite obvious but hotel parking is not included in the stay which brings the cost of a one night stay similar to much much more lux hotels in the area.

Great hotel great location great staff, shame wall paper was unstuck at the joins. Had king size bed but only a duvet to fit a double bed and bottom bed sheet had a hole in it and was like that for the 3 nights there so that didn’t get changed. But overall will be coming back

The Central Hotel is conveniently located near most attractions and public transportation. It’s safe and quiet. We paid for breakfast 15€ per day, it was good the first couple days but it’s the same every day so if you are staying like we did for 10 days it becomes boring and unappealing. We were supposed to get an upgrade and VIP but we didn’t. The “spa” is a jacuzzi and a sauna, and can only fit 2 to 3 people at a time and there is NO steam room. As we had an early flight we requested a breakfast to go.
The subway station is close to the hotel and you can take it to and from the airport for under one dollar per person. We rented a car to drive to far away places where we ended up paying for parking more than we paid for the car rental. Parking on the street or a parking garage is a little over one dollar per hour from 8 am till 8 pm and at night it’s free. If you pay for a 24 hour parking which is about 12$ it means you pay till you you drive out of the garage.

I spent a long Easter week-end with my wife in Sofia. The hotel was perfectly located for accessing all the central sites. The furniture in our room was a little dated, but it was a very spacious room, the beds were comfortable and the walk in shower was great. The staff were very helpful with good insights on local restaurants and tourist trips.

The staff were amazing - however the room was awful! The bed was as hard as concrete, the curtains paper thin, so constantly light, noisy and it was impossible to get cold water from the bathroom tap. Also the hotel was a constant building site!

Valet Parking was too expensive! 20euro
self parking place was too far.
everything-else was up to the price range hotel

Clean and decent size room. Bo would highly recommend the breakfast buffet…it has lots of variety. Room service and staff are friendly and helpful. While it’s about 10 min walk to many restaurants, the hotel is really more off the center of town. The immediate area are smaller streets. Rooms are spacious and bed was very comfortable. Two headed shower was nice but the hand held one was aimed way to high (I’m 5’7”). All TV channels were in Bulgarian so bring your Netflix account. I didn’t like the room does not have an inside look so anyone with a key can enter. We enjoyed our stay overall.

When you arrive, you feel welcomed from the beginning. We had a huge room facing the busy street but the windows are fairly decent in absorbing the noise. The hotel's restaurant always has space and a nice selection of food and beverages.

Great hotel and excellent price. Close to the downtown and Main Street. The guy at Checkin was very friendly giving access to our room well before the regular check in time.
However being honest, sometimes the receptionists were not the peak of friendliness….
Breakfast excellent

Hotel is average. Breakfast have enough foods but not well taste ok but not very good. Bed was not nice. Location of hotel is good
2.0
overall it was OK however there were some minor things which normally shouldn't happen in a good hotel - for example our room for 2 people had only one set of cosmetics, the towels weren't replaced and there was no sign to put on the door which I'm sure every hotel has? the one that says to not disturb or to clean the room, so I found it quite weird. The breakfast choice was better on Monday than the day before, overall the breakfast was OK but again 4* hotels have much bigger choice of food.

It was all in all a great experience to stay there, the people are very helpful, the location is fantastic, the spa downstairs is fantastic and don’t miss some massage. Therapist, there’s healing in those hands.

Staff were really helpful and nice and the room itself was fine. Nothing great had a big TV and a walk in shower which is always nice.
The jacuzzi and sauna was only open from 6pm to 9pm so we didn't use it which was a little disappointing considering it was a main reason we booked it.
Location is pretty good maybe a ten minute walk to the main shopping street.
The bar is more like a drinks cabinet which I never seen open.
There is a restaurant but we never ate there which looked relatively large.
Mini bar in the room which I would have preferred just be a fridge to store milk for tea.

Staff was very efficient, helpful & friendly. Overall hotel is newly remodeled, clean, good bedding and plenty of food in breakfast buffet with good service. In front is a small park. Walkable to tourists sites. Was upgraded. I will recommend to our friends.

Friendly staff and great location. Walking distance to Metro.

First impression with the cramped lobby , "bar wall", and plexiglass in front of the reception desk ( from Corona days) left a slight concern...Ps. The lobby space could be much better used by getting rid of the round table in front of the entrance and dotting the white chairs and tables in the space.
Room was very clean.Bathroom was well appointed yet could have had a bright light over the mirror...Bed was comfy and the usuals as ironing board, ect were there. Lighting seemed to go off all of a sudden but once I told this to the desk receptionist, it was sorted out.
Breakfast was a nice assorted spread. Nice staff. Ate out the second day but that was a mistake. Many places are closed for Saturday breakfast until later. Eat at the hotel...
Reception...on first appraoch I seemed like I was bothring them..But after a bit of chatting found that was not the case. Nicole was very helpful and professional.
ALL IN ALL, good value for money for a clean, CENTRAL, stay, near the metro...5 minute walk, 1 hour to the airport via metro, hotel can call a cab which only takes minutes to get there, and a 10 minute walk maximum to the main sites and pedestrain street - Hotel isn t in the most razzly dazzly part of town but ok.
ps. the spa was dark when we were there and didn t look inviting. Bar was a niche in the loby with a counter and few chair. looked dismal. some private arrangements in the restaurant at night.
OVERALL PLEASANT..

The garbage in the bathroom wasn’t cleared. Can happen but that’s why I gave only 3 stars. The hotel itself is quite nice. Haven’t tried the spa.

The bed and bedding were great, air conditioning worked very well, thermostat was very simple and intuitive, and the shower was phenomenal.
