Excellent location for visiting Nimes and Pont du Gard. Lovely large swimming pool. Good selection of food available at buffet breakfast. We stayed in the family room which was very spacious for 4 people. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

The hotel is a short distance outside of Nimes. The trick to finding it is to realize that the hotel is in a former country estate that was split into two hotels. Mas Galoffre is on the right when you get there and Petite Galoffre is on the left. I took us a while after being there and then going out again to find it again. The staff only spoke broken English. They were as accommodating as they could be beyond the communication difficulties. It is obviously a family owned and operated hotel.
The facilities and pool were excellent. The pool is a large Olympic size pool. The yeven have a workout room.

I hate to admit it, but we were very problematic guests and the owner/manager graciously took everything in stride. I am so thankful for the people who take the time to learn my language because I can't speak theirs. The pool was wonderful - my husband and son were very disappointed they didn't get back in time to swim on our second night. Location was great, the hotel itself made me feel as though I were in an exclusive country mansion. Although a little more expensive than I usually treat myself to, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back given another opportunity.

We stopped at Le Mas de Galoffre during a two week drive around south west France and it was a lovely welcome spot to finish a long hot day of driving. There was a spectacular huge (and very well maintained) swimming pool and alongside it, a good restaurant. We had a bonus swim in the morning before setting off again and a good breakfast, once more poolside. Le Mas is a fine old farm building and extremely convenient for visiting Nimes nearby -- we appreciated the large private (free) parking lot too. The room was not particularly fancy but comfortable & pleasant.

Staying there for one night to visit Nimes, I was ok. It is a good stop over hotel. The pool is nice and the grounds as well. The room was a bit run down with a broken door (built in cupboards. The bathroom was spacious. However, there was loud music from the neighbouring camping side - it might have been a one off.

1. Too far from Nimes. We spent hours to find the way to the hotel. Then, it was too complicated to go out to the city and to find the way back. 2. The stairway is "problematic", and hard to go up & down. No elavator existed. No rooms at ground level. 3. The room door was squeaky, and it was not cured immediately. 4. One bed was insecure. But: 5. They have pleasent garden with tables.

First, it was difficult finding the property. Because no number was given with the address, our navigation devise could not find it. After driving around Nimes for about 2 hrs we discovered it out in the country. We reserved a 4 person room only to arrive & find all those taken. We were put in a cramped, dirty, depressing 3 person room. No air conditioning like it says. The pool was filled with dead bugs. It was very run down. The beds were like sleeping on concrete. Could not wait to leave in the morning!!

The hotel itself is very nice, especially if you are interetested in a prolonged, resort-type stay. The property is attractive and clean. It was extremely difficult to find, however. Fortunately, I speak French and was able to stop for directions (three times!)so we eventually found the place. However, being lost made us late, so the front door was locked by the time we arrived just after 19:00. Ringing the bell and knocking on the door brougth no response, we we inquired at the restaurant next door, whose kind waitress phoned someone at the hotel. Whoever she phoned continued to ignore our presence. Finally, after peeking into the front door, we noticed someone watching television in the lobby, who evntually made his way to the door to let us in. He seemed very annoyed that we had interupted his viewing. He grudingly checked us in, and eventually warmed up a bit as we chatted. Because we only stayed one night, I found the effort required to find the place and be admitted was more annoying than the hotel was worth.

We found our stay at Le Mas de Galoffre interesting. We really enjoyed the charm of the stone farmhouse converted to a hotel. Unfortunately, due to mosquitoes and unscreened windows, we had to sleep with the windows closed and the room was became unbearably hot. There was no air conditioning in the part of hotel our room was in. A screen on the window would have been an inexpensive remedy as the temperature dropped at night to a pleasant coolness but we could not enjoy this as the windows needed to be closed- even with this we still had mosquitoes in the room.
We had booked the room for three nights, and stayed all three nights. There is a pool. We found that a late swim (but before 8 as the pool closes at 8) cooled us down. We then ate a late dinner at the restaurant across the road and went to bed without the lights, in an effort to keep the room cool.
There is easy parking at the hotel and a city bus stops just across the road. For 1 EUR per person each way, you can take this bus to Nimes City center, see all the sights, and not have to worry about driving in the city and finding parking. This was another huge plus for us.
Other than the heat of the room- which was very unfortunate- we would have been very pleased with hotel.

We often stay at two-star hotels, but this one was way below normal standards. It looks and smells very, very old.... and if you move on the bed, so does anyone else on the bed. Lights flashed on and off, breakfast was ok but not good. And I do not recommend using the downstairs bathroom which hadnt been cleaned in what appeared to be an eternity. Very unsatisfied with this experience.

It was a lovely resort close to many great places. unfortunately due to it being end of season the room was damp and not aired but it was clean - but lots of mosquito's - my partner had 45 bites! We'd go back if in summer as it was lovely, quiet, close to lots of places - no regrets as such about this place - just to mosquitos which the hotel couldn't help anyway!

poor service. reserved a std room for 4 even though only 3people travelling as no option for triple. what we actually got was a twin room with a camp bed in. they were holding a wedding reception which they were considerably more intrested in. refused to serve us a meal even though we had been travelling for 12hrs and there was no restaurants for at least 3 miles.

The hotel is located out of town center. We arived in Nimes around 6pm and could not find the hotel. We stopped at random hotel and asked for directions. The person at the front desk was not familiar with our hotel and at first couold not locate it but was kind enough to call the hotel and expained to the owner we arrived but do not know how to get there. Now, with directions in our hands we decided to spend the evening in center of Nimes. After dinner we went to the hotel but it was not easy to find even with the directions from the owner. Long story short we arrived at the hotel gate around midnight(and it's just a gate on small road out of town). We rang bell with no answer. We rang bell of another hotel that is accessed through the same gate and someone answered. The person via speaker on the gate, explained that our hotel owner went to bed and there is no way for us to get in. Given the time, how tired we were and our reservation we convinced him to open the gate, but he did not offer any help in finding/waking up owner. We walked in the dark trying to find the office of the hotel and suddenly the lights came on and the owner showed at the office door...very angry with us arriving so late. The room was fairly clean but bathroom was not. The shower door was borken and dead flies were all ever bathroom and shower. Phone was turned off so we could not make calls home with our calling card.
