Overnight stay while traveling - great view of the Atlantic Ocean - the room was comfortable and had all the amenities I needed. Convenient location in a low key area. Hope to stay there again.

Everything about this house is fantastic for a long or short term visit. I have stayed in both the upstairs and downstairs for different reasons, and enjoyed them both. Would def stay here again.

What a great place and price for an Oceanview room with a jacuzzi! The A/C unit was a little noisy but I had no other complaints.
4.2
The staff was very friendly and the rooms and around the building were very clean. I had hurt my foot and couldn't go down to the beach but it was right across the parking lot. There was also a really great view from our balcony which we tried to spend our time, when we weren't out exploring the area. Overall well worth the money.

Yikes, the amount I paid for this place was ridiculous. The place was old and a complete dump and definitely not clean. There was food and drinks splashed across the walls. There were little ants everywhere... on the beds, in the bathroom etc. Disappointing to say the least. I will not be booking through Expedia again.

It was a great experience

Great value, location and walking distance to food, groceries, activities. Staff was very friendly and communicative. FREE parking (other hotels in area charge $15+ nightly fees!) All rooms have balconies, face ocean with public parking lot between. Stayed in Jr. Suite (1Q, 1T), which was spacious and perfect for a solo traveler or family with 1 child. Room was mostly clean but some furniture needs replacing. Bed was somewhat uncomfortable, but that is subjective.

Good location. Views of ocean. Clean.

The staff was amazing, and the view of the beach was amazing!! Just a short walk to the beach!!

The location being on the ocean is great. It was across the street but very doable. You do have to book a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor in order to see the beach/ocean. Can't hear the waves though. Air conditioner pretty load but you get use to it. Building just a little old but for a night or two it's fine.
4.2
If you want easy everything for a chill experience, this is your place. Quiet and the beach is literally across the street. There's traffic due to it being tourist season, but you won't even notice it. I will be making this my go-to when I visit going forward.

Didnt even stay but got charged full price was in an accident, let them know about 5 pm the same day but they refused to cancel and charged me the full rate.. on a memorial day weekend... no sympathy from the devil

This place is amazing was more than I expected very recommended

This is an awesome place to stay for the price. It’s quiet and private. A full kitchen, private deck, and 2 bedrooms with a pull-out sofa (definitely bring your own mattress pad, the mattress and pad provided have seen better days). Overall, a great stay. Walking distance to a grocery store and steps from the beach. Will definitely stay again!

Excellent location with nice balcony beach view. Publix supermarket at walking distance. Vilano Beach is a family friendly and dog friendly beach.

This is our fifth time and every time is a great experience the staff and the service is fantastic, and the view is a dream.
4.2
Our ocean view was wonderful and the beach was a short walk. Room was large and clean. I would return again.
4.2
Room was clean but no cleaning service at all for 3 day stay. Bed uncomfortable and linens scratchy and no comforter.
4.2
The place was nothing like the pictures I seen when I booked. I booked this for a friend’s weekend. I was embarrassed when she immediately called her husband to say how bad it was. It smelled like smoke when we checked in. The lady was very nice though. The door was not properly sealed as we could see daylight. The room was not cleaned in the corners, under the tables or chairs, patio doors/windows were dirty. There was no do not disturb sign to put out in the room. My bed was not made either day put my friend’s was. The fridge worked great.

Beautiful view of the Atlantic! Loved the sound of the waves from the balcony.

Great stay. The a/c was a little finicky but otherwise the room was very comfy

The Lodge deserves a fair rating at best. The location is the only very good feature of the motel. The rooms are very dated and in dire need of updating. None of the three lamps matched and they were very old and one was broken. The King bed was a mattress and box spring on a frame , no headboard. The sink was cracked and the clothes line in the shower was broken off the wall. The lock on the balcony door was broken. Our room was "cleaned' once during the week and I had to ask for that. The staff said they were shorthanded and would get to us but they didn't! We had to find them to get clean towels every day. The bath towels are paper thin and were like sand paper on your skin when drying off. the exterior of the building is appealing and well kept but the rooms are in very bad condition and in need of a complete overhaul. like I said, the view of the ocean is the only good thing about the motel. There are much better accommodations available in that price range.

First time at Vilano Beach. Love the area and the hotel. Oceanview room, clean and quiet. Overall good stay. Will come back again

Perfect hotel to stay in front of beach and drive to historic side of Saint Augustine.

While the staff were helpful, we did have some disappointing experiences in our stay. In a room with a queen and twin bed - the twin bed was horribly uncomfortable, the sheets did not stay on and the headboard was not attached so any restful sleep was not possible. We understand there was damage from hurricanes last year and dune restoration was going on right outside of the balcony. However we did not expect for trucks and workers with bright lights to begin working at 6 am in the morning right outside the windows. While the staff was friendly, we felt the quality of our stay did not match what we would have expected for what we paid. We did like the area, safe to walk, Publix nearby as well as restaurants, and a lovely art/boardwalk and fishing pier.

Older unit, but appears to be clean. Hard to tell what it will be like when the construction is finished outside our balcony, but the view if very compromised right now.
Also, there really is no breakfast to speak of. Coffee, a packaged pastry, and a very small yogurt.

Had great time girls trip.. quiet area. Great location

We enjoyed our stay. Ocean view, beach access, and good price. Rooms need an update/renovation but again, for the price you can’t beat it.

We had a roach.

Nice hotel with great balconies overlooking the ocean. We stayed on the third floor but it looked like the first floor had good views of the beach and water. Very laid back island.

Went for our anniversary trip. Other hotels were wildly expensive to be on the water. While not anything fancy, this place was priced better than others and enjoyed a view from any room. The hotel was dated, but kept clean and fresh as possible. Most hotels on the beach front have a musty odor and lots of mold. Not here. This place smelled good, no mold or roaches, and floor was not wet (iykyk). The area was quiet and close to a Publix and a few restaurants. We didn't feel unsafe in the least.
Only a couple of issues that weren't much of issues. The ice machine is on the ground floor. Only one, and not a huge deal. The showerhead was leaking while on...hard to explain but not a big issue. The room has limited plug outlets that are accessible to plug in cellphones, especially if you have a CPAP machine or air purifier like we did (we use it due to my husbands allergies). But having these things plugged in, meant we had to unplug the lamps that were on the tables, or only use the outlets on the desk, several feet away from the bed. But that also is not a big deal, just wished we'd known about it to bring a plug multiplier.
Overall, wonderful stay at a lovely, quiet, little hotel. Husband and I both agree that when we want to stay on the beach, we will be staying here, as long as the place keeps it's great staff and style.

Hotel with a beautiful veiw of the ocean, it has been renovated recently it looks like. Loved sitting on our balcony and looking at the ocean, sits across the street from the beach. Nice selection for breakfast, the staff was a pleasure to talk to. Enjoyed talking to the owner who's a fellow Veteran, he is there most days working along side the staff. Cute little pool too. Including pics of pool, veiw from bacony, beach from above and bridge to the main land you drive across getting to hotel.

The view of the ocean, the sound of the waves, the moonlight on the water on the full moon. It was all about location! For the price, it was well worth it. Not a rich man’s place - a working person’s paradise❤️

People are nice but property is a little expense.

I booked a first floor room for personal and specific reasons. When we checked in, we discovered we had been “bumped” to the second floor by the owner of the property. I made it clear I did not want to be moved and the front desk said the owner did it and didn’t know why,…. There was nothing we could do until the people who were in the room we booked checked out and the room was cleaned. I was assured the second floor was an upgrade. Haha, no, it definitely was not. The second floor room was outdated, had 2 refrigerators (1 updated one and a noisy one in a cabinet) when I went to discover where the noise was coming from (2nd fridge) the door fell off the cabinet. The pillowcases were dirty and there was a dripping stain on the wall. The table only had 1 chair (one of us had to eat on the bed).
Once we spoke to the owner, she assured we could have the first floor room when it was ready. It was much nicer. Updated and functional. The property itself was clean. The continental breakfast was good with lots of options. ALL the staff within the property we spoke with here all great. The property is across from the public access to the beach. The balconies face the parking lot where ALL the beach goers park, it is not quiet or private.
