Was an ok stay up until the morning of checkout. The 4 days we stayed we shared this 3 floor hotel with at most 2 other couples. Parking is right out front so easy to see who comes and goes. (This hotel is run by an India family who does all the cleaning and hospitality themselves, overall nice people with no outside help) I was even going to leave a nice tip since they cleaned our room when we requested.. till morning of checkout. Checkout is 11am. They come by the room and open up the door, no knocking and ignoring the do not disturb sign on the door and this happened at around 6 or 7am. They know we are still there our truck is parked where it has been the last few days visible from the front desk and were the only ones there. If that was all., I could have brushed it off but what did they do next… in this empty hotel they decided to start working on the door directly across the hall with a hammer drill for the next two hours. Intentionally making this noise repeatedly over and over again. Making the wind sound when you barely press the trigger followed by 2 or 3 loud knocks of the drill turning over. Just truly beyond disrespectful. Also fyi check your mattress, ours did have bed bugs in the past. Thankfully it wasn’t a current issue. (I’ve had to deal with them two different times in my past and not anything to be taken lightly, please be cautious)

Room was clean. The weird thing is you had to go to front desk to get remote for tv. I thought it was just our room but others in my party had to also. When I tried to use remote back at room it didn't work. Breakfast was okay, cereal was stale.

We traveled to Kalamazoo to see Buddy Guy on his final tour at the State Theater. The hotel was very close to the venue and so many restaurants. We went to Hopcat. Initially after reading such terrible revues on this Comfort Inn we were very worried about our stay. We were so pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it ended up being. It smelled clean upon entering because it was clean. Staff was very pleasant . Fridge worked. Microwave worked. Rooms were spacious. Breakfast was the same as any Comfort Inn, enough to do the job and break your fast.There was limited parking on the premises but we always found a spot and there was legal parking on the street in case. Pillows and beds were very comfortable.

The place is in terrible condition - run down, shoddy, you get overdosed with chemicals trying to mask old, stale cigarette smells. The only thing it has going for it is location. Don’t recommend to anyone.

Staff was very accommodating. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable….slept well. Shower was good. Bath towels are past their prime and should be replaced. Wash cloths and hand towels are good. Breakfast was ok. Small/medium parking area. Outside grounds needs a little TLC….daily garbage clean up and weed trimming.

The location of this property looks great on the map. About a few blocks from downtown, with proximity to everything there pretty much is in Kalamazoo. Well let me tell you it’s very sketchy. Lots of homeless people. The hotels it self the staff tries all very polite etc. the rooms need attention to detail. It doesn’t seem the cleanness.

You get what you pay for. The lobby was very clean and fresh smelling and the room is acceptable. It was fine for just spending the night, but I couldn’t imagine spending more than a day there. The neighborhood around it is pretty sketchy.

There is no security in the building. Elevators work without room key check and stairwell door is propped open. My room had a leaky faucet and something had been partially pulled off the wall by the sink as the frame with exposed screws sticking out was still attached but the rest was missing. Won’t stay here again.

The hotel room tv didnt work, the clock was broken, the toilet seat was loose, surface areas were covered in dust, I was almost unable to check in because my id and credit had my maiden name and not my married name. Apparently, my husband being here was the only reason i was able to check in even though i booked it. The hotel in general needs a deep clean. The room screen window was dirty and ripped. There was hair and slight stains on the pillow.

Honestly not a bad place to stay. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night. It was very quiet (hotel was empty Monday, but quite full Tuesday), and clean. The refrigerator was a little iffy, but I was able to defrost it and get it going. I'd definitely stay again.
