No one told me there was a parking charge and I was never given a parking permit. I ubered to the location, I shouldn’t have been charged for parking.
I asked for an itemized receipt when I checked in and was told there isn’t one to give. I didn’t find out about the parking charge until I checked out.
Pet charge is not reasonable.

just as you arrive, you are faced with a (you must pay 15$ a night to park here) sign. this kind of ruined my whole stay. If they wanted 15.00 more, just charge 15$ more for the night, please don't nickel and dime me on trips. Just because (everyone is doing it), it does not make it seem ok. I parked in a taco lot next door and refused to pay the 30$ on principle. Now to our stay, the beds were spring, and cheap. I was sitting in a hammock basically, and should have asked for a different room. The bathroom had cracked tiles with a really poor repair done. (room 301) The free breakfast is funky. yes, you can have eggs your way. but the avocado toast has the pre mixed avocados on it, and they put WAY too much. The breakfast sandwich (egg, bacon, spinach, cheese, and avocado) why did they add avocado to this? it's just not that good. There is a starbucks, and there is a very nice crew that run the little breakfast kiosk. All in all, the hotel is clean, but old... The bad bed and cash grab for parking is one reason I would look elsewhere...

$15/night is charged for parking. Front desk asked if I had a car then handed me a parking pass, but didn’t state there’d be a charge for it.

Stayed for a night to celebrate my husband’s birthday and this Marriott property did not disappoint! Front desk service was friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Our room was clean and comfy and was clean. Appreciated the included breakfast and wished we could have taken advantage of the pool but we didn’t have time. My kids enjoyed the gym and said everything worked well and was clean. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the SLO area. It’s close to the university and downtown without feeling crowded. We stayed during Labor Day weekend and it was awesome!

It was an OK place to stay

The Courtyard room was spotless and quiet as always,. But, after my first night, the internet connection in my room
would NOT work. For either my laptop or my phone, so it was not the equipment. I am now and another hotel 150 miles away and everythng works perfect. Stay out of Room 31.

Overall we had a very nice experience 👍

This hotel is just OK, first they charge for parking on property I know it’s only$15 but it’s a hotel with NO other option for parking but on property, second pay for breakfast that was just OK and you pay. Sorry if I expect more from Marriott, I’d say just stay at holiday inn express save the money.

Always inviting and lobby is great

The breakfast at this hotel is great. The fire pit is relaxing and the staff is pleasant. The room is very comfortably setup for working away from home and there are great restaurants and shops nearby. Negatives: The hot tub has smelled of bleach when we went and the pool, while a decent size, is on the cool side. Overall our stays here have been pleasant. We would recommend this hotel.

Feels dated.

Like everything except lack of plastic bags in trash cans, outside trash can over full..

Overall I’d a very pleasant stay, the room
Was very spacious. Disappointed that the bar closed at 10 pm on a Friday night! And the water dispenser in the room is so inefficient, after one cup you’ve to wait to cool down for nearly 10 mins before you can start the next cup

The REFRIGERATOR IN THE ROOM FROZE ALL OUR FOOD…the staff gave us some credit which was nice. Although there is a bistro on premises, please note that there is nothing really close enough to walk. You have to pay for parking and at $15, with a large parking lot, it seemed excessive. And the bistro has limited options, and is a bit inconsistent…one great breakfast one day, the next it was terrible. There’s no complimentary coffee in the lobby…there is a Starbucks on premise…bed was comfy…

Charging for parking 15.00 is ridiculous.
Embassy down the street is free

Close to the airport but far enough away for it to be nice and quiet. Super clean hotel. Nice pillows and beds. Pretty room too.

We liked the convenient location being near Avila beach. Overall property seemed okay. However, the mattress was uncomfortable and the rooms seem to need a deep clean dusting.

The shower had a broken tile and it was plastered over. Felt a little run down for a newer hotel. There was a $15 parking fee surprise. Basic comfort but nothing amazing.

Great place to stay

They charged $15 for parking which is just rude. Our coffee maker didn’t work which when getting on the road at 5 am is a big deal. The plug next to the bed didn’t work. And the phone looked like it had something sprayed on it. The grounds were nice but I left feeling very unsatisfied.
4.3
The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The $125 pet fee was a terrible shock! My tiny dog is clean and quiet. Please reconsider this!
4.3
Nice clean hotel. Decent price too.

All as fine until I walked in the bathroom and saw the sink. Didn’t call front desk because it was late and I was tired. Just needed a little housekeeper oversight
4.3
We have stayed at this hotel numerous time coming to San Luis Obispo this is the first time we were charge for parking. The front desk staff was so scripted and no personal inaction.
The cleaning staff was very good and helpful.
Just very disappointed.
