The views could not have been more beautiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was just a quick stay but, what a great weekend it turned into. 70* on an October day in New England will always make for a beautiful day.

Supposedly the room was renovated, but the bathroom was super dated, base of cabinet for sink was all water damaged. Over all was very clean, but there was definitely a musty smell that lingered when fan or ac was not on. Bed comfy and clean, it did have a bed bug protector on mattress.

Extremely friendly bartenders and staff!

Love this amazing place on the water.
Food availability in the area is limited.

The friendly staff, room decor and the closeness to the beach

The description is very misleading.

Loved our stay. Had the perfect room. Will absolutely stay again. Beautiful beach view. Great outside bar. Staff was great.

I thought I had booked a room with a kitchen when I made the reservation. However, when I arrived, I found that the room did not have a kitchen. I asked the lady at the front desk and she immediately responded. She was very kind and I was able to spend 3 wonderful days there. I highly recommend this facility!

Location is the best, right on the water

We had a good stay. Being a beach front hotel there is wear and tear but it adds to the charm. It was loud when the close by bars closed at night.

Love this motel we always stay here when we go to misquamicut. Favorite feature is the bar on the beach with music.

This property might not be for familes. The bar area was very loud until early morning hours. They advertised that it was a private beach, but people just walked in off the street, creating little beach space for motel guests. Staff was virtually non-existant.

Staff super friendly. So convenient.

This hotel is right on the ocean as is their bar. It's not a quiet hotel as the other side faces the main road into the beach. There are 4-5 restaurants/bars within walking distance, which is very convenient.

Nothing good

The only good thing was that fact the beach was a hop skip and a jump away. The hotel had fruit flys all over the place. We went to stop and shop to get a fruit fly repellent and it did not work. We had zero WiFi, normally we bring a Roku device when we go on vacation for the night time and we could not set it up due to zero internet. I spent $120.00 on data for my phone just to be able to watch our Roku. There was no microwave as well. I am highly upset at the price we paid for the terrible service. The hotel definitely needs an upgrade and better service. When asking one of the questions employees about the internet issue , they told me to go to office and connect and maybe it would follow me to my room. That to me is just crazy, for the price we paid we should have had internet and no flys all over are room.

Second time staying here. Enjoyed both times. First time I brought my 89 yo mother so she could enjoy the ocean. She has a walker & I was able to set her up on the patio/bar area. She loved it!

The Sandy Shore Motel was old, but clean and maintained. We checked out, though, after three hours and went to a place up the beach because there is an outside bar at the motel and they were playing music loud enough that it muted the sound of the waves. We didn't want to hear Taylor Swift (no offense Tay Tay - we love you) we wanted to hear the ocean. And we couldn't have our window open without hearing the bar music - which - we were told - stayed open to 1 am. Also, the motel is horseshoe shaped and our room faced a bank of port-a-potties that were there for bar patrons. So, if you want to day drink and don't mind looking at port-a-potties - this place will suit you. If you want to hear the ocean and have kids who need to go to bed early, you may want to look elsewhere.

Very nice place

Staff was friendly and customer service oriented. The room I booked I was not given because cable was not available in that room. I was given another room with an ocean view from my front window. It was a side window view. She said that was considered an upgrade. I don’t believe so, but whatever.

This is not a luxury hotel. But it doesn't need to be. If you want a reasonably priced, comfortable, spacious accommodation with the Atlantic Ocean right outside your bedroom window gently lulling you to sleep every night, there really isn't a better place. Friendly, gregarious staff is always a pleasure as well.

Hotel is located right on a beautiful beach. The hotel was undergoing major renovations and was noisy. There should be a warning about construction. We were placed on the 3rd floor with no elevator.

The location is excellent, the apartment was very nice and well kept, I only hated that it reeked like cigarettes, I opened the windows but it seems people next door smoke indoors. Sleeping was rough with that awful smell.
2.0
The room provided had no amenities. The heat only worked on one side, and the bathroom lights were not working. The bed was of low quality. It is not worth the price of 175.00 per night with one widow ocean view. Another guest attempted to get a cigarette as we went to the room. No coffee maker, micro, or fridge. Did not stay but was refunded for one night of the two booked.

On the beach, close to food and shops. Can hear through walls, best to be on top floor if possible

Motel was fine. Would have liked a coffee maker in our room

The rooms are outdated and not very comfortable. The location can't be beat. The beachbar with music is a great touch. We went in October so the scene was fairly mellow.
In the future, I would visit the bar on the beach, but stay somewhere else.

It was fine for a one night stay. The rate was reasonable.

We stay here yearly. We love the location and the beach bar. The rooms are comfortable, the views are great, the staff is wonderful!

Property is literally bordering the beach with waves breaking 20 yards away.
