Great hotel in a perfect location for central Gothenburg. Staff were friendly and helpful and the bar and restaurant were buzzing at the weekend which made it a fun place to relax with a drink after a day out. We had one of their basic rooms but it was still really spacious. A bonus is that the airport bus stops just across the road from the hotel too.

very nice design, comfortable beds and bathroom, location in the center! However it was hardly possible to sleep before 0130 due the the noice from the pubs and street. The sound insulated hotel doors was good but the windows towards the street was like paper. It needs to be fixed!

Fantastic staff, great breakfast, super location. Noisy on the streets at late hours on weekends, keeping you awake, so use hotel-provided earplugs or your own noise machine. Lobby/halls air conditioned well, rooms NOT well air conditioned.

Fantastic! Super rooms, one with a hot tub, which was great! Nice pool on the roof too. Staff were brilliant, and the restaurant was lovely too! Nothing at all to complain about. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

We had a great stay at Avalon hotel in Gothenburg! Weather was good enough to hang out by the rooftop pool, and we are glad that we upgraded to a larger room!

Really nice Staff. Really nice rooms and as centrally located as you can get in Gothenburg. The breakfast was a bit crowded around 9 o clock and my seat there was ripped with the stuffing coming out, but otherwise great.

Room was facing the street, so opening balcony door meant noise. While room had blackout curtains, bathroom door was frosted glass, and lots of light came in that way. Room was hot due to floor to ceiling windows.

Lovely hotel, situated in a great good location. The room was spacious with a small balcony, the only downside was there lack of air conditioning. Staff were super helpful and the included breakfast was great!

Excellent experience. We all loved the amazing breakfast buffet. The rooftop pool was a wonderful place to relax after sightseeing. Lots of added perks including the robes and slippers and heated towel rack.

Beautiful and large bathroom with nice big tub and towel warmer and nice amenities. Got a large lovely terrace and room a nice size with lots of windows. Only area of improvement for both of us is that the bed was not comfortable (felt like just a mattress topper) and although we each got three pillows, the three combined was still very flat so it was hard on the neck. Hotel in a great area.

As far as I can see, the hotel management at Avalon is working very well! The reception personell are very efficient and friendly. The bar and restaurant are like. My room with a balcony was clean, modern and beautiful with many good amenities. And the bed was so comfortable. My over all experience at Avalon was 5 stars. I had a very good company of friends who decided to spend time together in Gothenburg which helped greatly that my visit in the city and at Avalon very memorable. Thanks very much.

Great Hotel, I loved the Art & Design approach plus the extensive art collection all over the Hotel. Tina at the reception was very supportive and very nice! Also the restaurant was amazing! Will go back to the Hotel in my nexts trips to Gothenburg. Thanks

Generally very good. Good central location. Check in by 15:00 and out at 12:00 appreciated. Good with breakfast until 12:00 on Sunday too. Had a standard room which was pretty basic but in good condition. Pool area could have been a bit fresher - glass needed a clean.

An “art hotel”, well positioned for exploring the more interesting parts of Gothenburg. The bath and wash hand basins are in the room, which we find odd. The separate loo and shower are behind a glass door, which is not soundproof. If you are not into excessive intimacy you might not find it enjoyable. Breakfast was a slightly stressful affair due to space constraints. The buffet was reasonable.
