Bed was good. Rest of room was dusty, shower was mouldy, and the walls were in disrepair.

Very noisy, the carpet was disgusting, the whole floor I was staying had a bad odour.
I asked for an extra blanket at reception as I was unwell, was told he would drop it too my room.It didn’t arrive.when I checked out Iwasn’t asked if I enjoyed my stay I don’t think they cared. Toilet facilities all worked but very basic. I will never stay here again

False advertising.

I did not realise this accomodation was a hostel. When we found out it was after checking in standards were immediately dropped. However, I think the conditions of this place has made it the worst hostel i’ve seen. Shared bathrooms are dirty and smells horrible. Showers are mouldy. The windows in the room were cracked. Sheets and pillows were dirty. Bed frames were also dirty and ripped up. I don’t think it’s worth the amount they charge for it. The only good aspect of it is location is very convenient. You just have to be okay with the loud and noisy Auckland night life.

I liked where it is and my room and staff were good . Not good parking and nowhere to hang your clothes

Unfortunately the room was dirty, the bed was broken and super uncomfortable.
The tv was also not working.

This was a very cheap place to stay but the bathroom was horribly dirty, the curtains were torn, the windows were high up and faced out onto a brick wall. Staff were very polite and helpful though.

I thought I had booked a hotel so I expected hotel facilities and it was not until I got there I found out it was a hostel but there was also the fact the front person hardly cared that I was there and the shower so just dirty and the white towels were brown and dirty. There was mould on the curtains. So i was not impressed with my stay

Location is great however property is in poor condition with thin walls and squeaky floors. Good for a quick one night stay if you need somewhere to sleep

This place is filthy!! Will never stay here again and would never recommend to my worst enemy!
Full of black mould, damp, sinks, toilets weren’t suitable for a pig!!

Nothing in the room except a double bed that’s seriously EASILY 30 years old
Definitely would NOT recommend it for your dog let alone stay there yourself!!!!

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
I have done some traveling around the world and this is, by some margin, the worst accommodation I have ever been to. I won't say stayed in because I left, took my refund and found somewhere else.
The whole place was filthy. They couldn't even provide clean sheets and no one cared.
Appalling. Avoid at all costs.
Rooms:
Dirty and hot. There was what was possible mould behind the door and stains all over the place.
Food & drinks:
Best not to even look in the kitchen.

Very basic accom. There was no air conditioning or ventilation, so room was very hot. No mirror available in room or bathroom. Not terrible though

This was the worst accomodation we’ve ever stayed in. So dirty, mould in bathroom, pillows seemed like they’d never been washed or replaced. Window latches were broken and curtains were disgusting/ripped. Ventilation in the bathroom was extremely poor and shower made entire bathroom wet. But worst of all the room absolutely stunk, we had to buy air fresheners for the room and even after 5 days it still smelt of urine/food. Overall really run down and dirty place. Very convenient location but that was the only positive.

Quite dirty, very hot and stuffy, no parking

Queen ensuite is small and outdated. Uncofortable bed. No air conditioning, the room becomes unbearable during the summer.TV broken. Cleanliness of room and hotel amenities was terrible and stink House keeping every 4 days. Staff were nice, but not very helpful. Overall I do not recommend this place.

The shower had mould in it, there was no mirror (looked like it had previously been broken) no air conditioning or clean air coming into the room, bright light from the hallway shone in all night.

The bedrooms were dirty and smelled. The mattresses reeked like urine. The sheet were clean. The bathroom was really gross and dirty.

A good spot to walk to ferry. It was torture, couldnt sleep. I had booked room with no window, but there was no air conditioner working. I asked for a fan, did not have one. It was inhumanely hot. They didnt try to put me in a room where air worked.

It's an older building in sound but rundown condition, clean enough, no fleas mice or rats, linen supplied, shared toilets and showers as usual in old hotels and hostels. Cheap enough with good security, overall a quiet facility with the exception of street noise from the bars across the road through the open windows in the front rooms on Fort st. Quiets down by 3am. Cost $60 what do you expect.

Our room was absolutely disgusting. The bedding was dirty, the bathroom was filthy and it looked like a tip (nothing like the pictures online). The windows
in our room were being held open by a Powerade bottle and lip balm when we arrived. Getting to our room indicated what we were in for, heaters kicked off the wall, man holes left open and patched up walls. We immediately booked somewhere else as it was so below par.

The room is utterly pathetic. No AC. In summer you will feel like you are getting roasted inside without an AC. The “Queen” room is certainly not valued at $67. Never ever going back here.

All in all our stay was great, unfortunately had to sleep with the windows open because the room smelt quit damp

When choose fort street because in the pictures it had a tv it also stated that there was to be daily housekeeping our room was very small had a tv and wall unit we asked for the renotes to both but was told they do not work. We were staying for 4 days but were told we cld only get 3 days worth kf towels the receptionist was very rude and insisted that there was no daily goisekeeping we showed him the page which said otherwise. Kitchen. Photos from there site nust be very old.

The rooms are small, dirty and not ventilated. There were holes in the wall and the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold. The communal kitch was dirty and smelled awful. The rooftop terrace was littered with smoke buts and had only two seats.
The afternoon front desk staff was lovely and informative. The only upside to an uncomfortable stay
