It was a very nice place

Staff and service were top notch, the overall experience was wonderful, rooms need a little updating, but the staff attention more than made up for any small issues. The entertainment was fabulous, Edgar was just one of the amazing dancers and went out of his way to make our staff memorable
Also Beatrice always had a warm smile and friendly greeting when we dined
Highly recommended and the staff is amazing

We have stayed at Voyager over many years, having lived in the same road long ago.
We would not think of going anywhere else when visiting Mombasa.
All the staff and everything about Voyager is wonderful.

Everything was great from Aziz at the bar to Captain Charles with the laughs at breakfast property is a little old but it’s beautiful and the wife and I will be returning

Wonderful staff who are so friendly and helpful.
Beautiful, well kept gardens and in a position overlooking the Indian Ocean.

We liked the hospitality and friendliness of the staff.

Outdated but also neglected. Some of the worst service I have experienced. Wrong room allocation. Rotten meat served at dinner. Rusted fridges in rooms, doors that don’t lock, Aircons that don’t work. Sagging mattresses and old beds. Poor lighting in the room. Forgotten packed breakfasts. Really bad all round. The welcome is great but once you get your room card the nightmare begins. NEVER AGAIN.

We arrived early and Voyager went above and beyond to make us feel at home . They were courteous and friendly. It’s simply fantastic

The all-inclusive experience at this hotel was worth every penny of it. The grounds were extremely spacious with multiple swimming pools with different bars and relaxation areas. There were food options in various locations including an Italian restaurant experience poolside.
The all-inclusive meal service was truly fantastic with multiple food stations some with local ethnic foods and themes from all over Africa and even the world. They had excellent fresh juices and fresh fruit in the morning for breakfast as well as an egg station and waffles and crepes every morning. I enjoyed having my poached eggs.
The room we stayed in was perfect, with a porch just outside and right next to the cliffs above the crashing waves below which lulled us to sleep every night.
There was a beach down below which was very picturesque and great for photo opportunities, plus there were a variety of little vendors set up selling many African memorabilia.
I loved the little bar that was perched just above the ocean, very relaxing with comfortable seating and very friendly bartenders. We went there almost every night to relax and talk and enjoy a drink. It was fun watching the monkeys play on the grounds next door to this place as well. This spot is also perfect to propose to your future wife... 💗
The service was exceptional, Peter from the front desk was always super friendly and helpful. The waitress Shilla charmed me with her Shilla Special drink which she custom made for me. All

Amazing place, service is great, you can test the great service and the real taste of Africa. If I go back I will go to this resort

The first "ocean view" room I was given was down a secluded hallway at the corner of the property. Traveling alone as a woman, I didn't feel completely safe there. The view was mostly of a barbed wire fence, but you technically can see the ocean. People I knew that didn't pay for the upgrade had a better view of the ocean. I asked to move, but it took until the next day before they were able to accommodate. The second room was exactly what I expected on booking. Takeaway: if you're a woman alone, ask for a room on the second level or higher.

The staff at property was very friendly and professional. Overall property is beautiful with the nautical theme. Rooms and amenities were, however, somewhat lacking. I got an “upgrade” to a beach front property and the room was in need of renovation especially the bathroom which had worn rusty fixtures. We had 2 rooms and the other room was in similar condition. I was there for 4nights and asked each day at the front desk and the housekeeper in person for 2 hand towels which we never got. Spent the visit with only 2 large towels. The food was just ok. They had different country themes each night but the food looked the same all the days I was there. The beach is non-existent. In fact there are signs posted that says no swimming. The “beach” is either covered in water up to the property line or is a slimy sandbar with seaweed based on the movement of the tide.

A little dated other than that the area itself was well-maintained. Everyone was friendly and the food good

This resort is really worth it. Stayed for 6 days or so and the staff are all friendly. Yes you have one or two that have there bad days but other than that they are all amazing. I will definetly recommend this resort. The food is amazing, the beaches and the pools are as well.

It beats me how they keep such a big campus to meticulously neat.

The room was very small. The bathroom was horrible.
The food was ok at best.
There are many lovely bars and places to sit.
The pools are lovely.
All inclusive includes the cheap options.
No room upgrade!

The grounds are beautiful though the property is not maintained very well and is starting to look run down. Food at Mashua (buffet) is terrible for such a costly hotel, same food being recycled resulting in overcooked meats and veggies. The A la carte restaurant is a joke, terrible and extremely slow service. They are always running out of juices at the snack bar.

Many times visitor from UK and as pleased as previously.
Good access from both the SGR Train Station and Moi Airport.
Ambience is excellent.
Bedrooms have a tradional feel, and are very comfortable.
Use the Italian Restaurant for dinner. A memorable evening by the poolside!
Staff are skilled, enthusiastic, and very likeable.

Great place to stay in Mombasa. Food was delicious, staffs were very friendly, the location was great. My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon there for almost a week and we are glad we choose voyager Beach resort. Waiters were very nice especially Mary and Margaret and also Nurse Nereah was awesome helping with covid tests. And also I want to thank Peter and Mohamed from the boat ride. We definitely will be back again. Thank you Voyager beach management.

Very poor staff service, slow service, noisy and overcrowded.

Do not stay here and do not use hotels.com. Wifi is a featured amenity but it does not work. We talked to the manager, Wasike Wasike and informed him wifi was needed because we were traveling for business. He assured us we would have no charge and that we should contact hotels.com. Rather than him telling hotels.com we left because their resort didn’t have wifi he told them we departed early so they are refusing refund. Wasike Wasike is a liar. The hotels is run down and needs major updates. Pick any other hotel in the area unless you like staying in 2 star hotels and I recommend any booking site except hotels.com/Expedia (their parent company)

We really enjoyed a few days at the Voyager in Mombasa.
Staff were very helpful, the facilities were good as was the food.
The hotel was busy - which was great to see as the tourist industry has been so badly hit over the last few years in Kenya.

Staff members were very friendly & courteous. There are so many choices of amenities & areas to visit to experience relaxation. I will definitely visit again!

The only thing we liked was the food. Very good food.
The place is run down. It clearly needs renovations, and management willing to do it
The safes are either old and rusty, or not working properly. The bathrooms are dirty, and run down (rust under sink, ugly rundown sink and taps, shower walls covered in dirt/mildew/hair, toilets don't flush properly, rusty door handles/clothing lines), chipped/ cracked floor tiles in room.
List goes on...
Not worth the price. Other places offered better service, clean, rust free rooms for less.

Very relaxing and comfortable.
2.0 / 5.0
Beautiful location and environment and quite vast. Excellent food. Excellent staff and housekeeping.
Bathrooms are OK. Low water pressure in the shower and sink without any stopper (danger of losing things). Bathrooms definitely need to be upgraded. Rooms lacked certain amenities such as tissue papers, clock, very limited number of towels, etc. Check-in was rather slow.
We stayed for 11 nights (two separate reservations). We did suffer from poor bathrooms. The room with king-size bed and sea view was rather small. We had to change the room. It would be nice if we are compensated for these inconveniences.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
