It could use a little bit of TLC upgrading.

Liked the kitchenette.

Cozy little units, a little dated. A/C worked like a charm. Small pool, but good getaway from the heat. Beach across the road lacked the sand that the hotel strip imports had to wear water shoes. Great well lit walking path to go to some of the sights and the hotel strip. We walked just about everywhere
overall nothing fancy, but convenient.

We liked our ocean view and private porch. Was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle but also 15-20 min walk to the popular palm beach area. Owners were helpful and flexible and gave us late checkout due to flight changes. Highly recommend

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be clean and well-maintained. It's conveniently close to the beach, although a bit further from restaurants and grocery stores. Despite this, the surrounding area is beautiful, especially with its stunning sunsets, which balanced out the distance. The hotel itself, while a bit rundown, is well-maintained and impressively clean. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

Safe and very comfortable place to stay property as well-maintained. Would definitely stay there again.

Simple studio apartment. No frills. Just a cozy and homey environment.

Our host was phenomenal and so helpful. It was our first trip to Aruba- from how to arrange for a taxi, catch a local bus anywhere on the island, which grocery to shop at, which beaches were around. The view from our porch was so beautiful. Kite sailing and windsurfing was within walking distance- lessons available for newbies- the pool area was cute with the coconut trees for shade- we adored the country, its people and our host🌞

The property is in bad need of upkeep. Looks like owner does not care anymore

Location was simultaneously great and slightly awkward. 10-15 minute walk to palm beach and hotel area. Almost too close to drive. Easy drive or bus ride to downtown or Arashi beach, and everything in between. Mostly quiet. Small coral beach directly in front: definitely need shoes.
Worst thing: Room had very strong odour of cleanser (pinesol maybe) trying to cover up the odour of mould. Not allowed to leave door open as per house rules, and no windows (lots of light but no fresh air) so it got stuffy, even though the air conditioner worked fine.
It’s dated, but that’s fine. The plumbing screams and cries but everything works. The kitchen is stocked with most necessities. The layout is spacious.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They are only there 9-5 so make sure you have all you need. No housekeeping on weekends, so keep that in mind as well.
The absolute best part was the deck area which had an excellent view, and where the wind sports are happening. It’s fun to watch. Sunsets right from the room are fabulous.

Such a beautiful peaceful, quiet place to chill away from the hustle of the high rises. Very beautiful & safe.

A nice comfortable place, a little worn around the edges, but clean. Directly across the street from beach. Good air conditioning and hot showers which some don’t understand can’t be assumed to be there when staying in Aruba. A very quiet area away from the hotels but close enough to them if you want to visit. I would stay here again.

This was a great location as it was across from the beach. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Perfect place to stay and be able to explore the island

I booked a garden view room instead of an ocean view. I was pleasantly surpriswd at the privacy of the pool view room. Still a nice view of their pool and for the price, it was well worth it. The ocean view rooms fave thr parking lot and main road to ocean. The ocean is just on the other side of the main road where you can see the daily sunset with a great view. Because the rooms had a kitchenette, i was able to prepare dinner and walk across the street to sit on a bench and eat dinner or have a beer to watch sunset daily. The location was great for me withon walking distance to the best beaches that arent overrun with tourists and lounge chairs. Restaurants are a little too far to walk, but for the price, cant be beat to be so close to the water.

The Aruba Beach Villas was very nice overall. The staff was great and the location was good. It is located just down the road from restaurants and nightlife. The larger beaches are also just a few minutes drive away. The rooms are older and needs to be updated. It’s also a good idea to have a car since it is a little bit of a walk to get to the restaurants and larger beaches.

Extremely outdated, furniture is filthy and uncomfortable,Bed hard as a rock.,water stains on the walls and ceiling, bubbling drywall with mold, toilet paper disintegrates in your hands, all windows have bars including the front windows with bars and blinds that you can't pull up, to see beautiful view of the water. You have to go outside to see beautiful view then I was lectured by a maintenance guy to not have the door open while looking at the view as it wastes electricity. The lighthouse lamp can barely be touched as it is falling apart. No paper towels in kitchen, no hot water in bathroom sink. Have to take a quick shower or you run out of hot water. Housekeeping walked in on me without knocking twice and maintenance man came up and looked in front window as I was sitting at table in my robe. I had to ask front desk to have housekeeping clean the bathroom as after 5 days as just left towels. Also had to request housekeeping sweep the floors. Towels were like sandpaper, strings hanging off. Had to ask for washcloths, shower had only one curtain, no liner, had to fight to keep the curtain from clinging to you as you showered. photos showed one bedroom unit had double sinks, tub shower, ours was half the size one sink, shower only. When I went to the office to discuss our room there was a sign on the door, be back in 20 minutes. I usually ended up leaving after 30-40 minutes. Patio deck was great but furniture was full of spider webs. Great view.

I got the ocean view 1 bedroom. If you do not mind having everything upgraded or having top notch appliances, then this will be great. The TV felt from the 1980s as well as the coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, the bedside lights, the couch, and the bed. But the bedsheet had the little wires that tickled me when i woke up (not good).
It is a good 20 feet to the actual shore, but there are fishes. There is also air conditioning to keep the room cool, and you can park you car directly infront (about 10 feet from the door). They also fix your room while we were out. They also have wifi so you can still have service. I enjoyed it bc it was simplistic and average. I dont always need 5 star hotels with other people. In fact i think there wasnt anyone on either side of me. In addition, in a weird way, i love the fact that the receptionist knew who we were before i even said i was going to check in.

Great view
Was over billed by the hotel, event for two days blocking view, very load with 5 am set up time, limited hot water, bare essentials, limited staff and office hours

The hotel was perfect for us, however we did not stay in the room much or use the grounds much. The room, furnishings were quite dated and worn but functional. The location was great. Walk right to the water. Having drinks watching the sunset or breakfast on the patio watching the ocean was amazing.

We were stuck in Aruba for 4 extra nights because of Hurricane Irma. We picked this hotel because we did not want to spent too much $$. Staff are nice and room is super clean. They provide fridge, pots and pans as well as dishware. Our only problem is having taxi or food delivery come and find us. The place should have a bigger sign of their place and also not many small signs pointing where the office is. One big sign that says office would work much better. It was hard to find us even in daylight. Translation: you have to walk a good 20 minute walk for first bus stop. Walk 10 minutes more and youll see the plazas and shops. All beaches are public so you can sneak in to another hotel to access the beach. Overall, place was good for survival. Rent a car is a must.

The picture looked like it's on the beach. It's across the street with no chairs. The room was very, very old looking and it had a very bad smell. The wife walked in, looked around and walked out. We left the keys on the table and went to the Divi golf resort and got a beautiful room cheaper than the one we walked out of.. It's worth to stay with the bigger hotels..

We had read both good and bad reviews about Aruba Beach Villas. We stayed in one of the front units and enjoyed sitting on the deck and watch the wind and kite surfers and sunset in the evening. I wasn't keen on Aruba but if I was I would stay here again.

Bring your own food/alcohol if you stay here as there is nothing nearby. Get a rental car if you stay here. The beach out front of the hotel is Rocky so dont plan on swimming in it all dayBuy a bottle of duty free alcohol or two, its really expensive there. If you live on the west coast of the US dont bother going to Aruba. There are nicer beaches closer.

The first day we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a "Closed" sign on the office door. Before panic mode set in, we realized there was a note left telling us our room number. Even though I'm grateful we were able to get in our room, I think it's really disconcerting that the office just closes up whenever they choose to leave. More than once when we needed to speak with office staff, it was closed. The room itself was fine; came with a kitchenette, good size bathroom and cable. Only problem with the room was that the stovetop didn't work right and kept burning our food. But the cleaning staff was always great and kept everything tidy. The location of the hotel was my least favorite part. Yes it's next to beautiful water, but not really a place where you can swim because its so shallow and full of rocks/sea urchins. And due to the fact that the hotel is a little farther than all the rest, the buses didn't pass by as often as we would have hoped. Taxis got to be expensive and we just ended up waiting up to an hr each time for the bus to pass. I like the fact that the hotel is not in a busy area, but unfortunately because of that, the transportation wasn't ideal. All in all, the hotel experience was ok. The price wasn't too bad and we didn't let the small things affect our trip as a whole.
