The front door to our building required key card for entry. The side door of our building had a push bar to open from inside. That bar was allen keyed open which meant it was unsecure. That allowed anyone to enter at any time.

We spent 3 nights at Sawtelle as part of a trip to Yellowstone. It is located about 30 minutes from the west entrance, which was just right to avoid the tourist traffic. The property is in excellent condition, and although somewhat rural,is located near gas, groceries and restaurants. The free hot breakfast got each day off to a good start. We would definitely stay here again!

Visiting W. Yellowstone, I looked for a place that had great reviews and reasonably priced. This was a great find! About 25-30 minutes from the West Entrance, the cozy, very spacious, rustic room was very comfortable with all the amenities i.e. microwave, mini fridge, desk etc. The bathroom was a nice size with a large countertop and tile floors. Breakfast was included, which was one of the reasons I booked here as well, since we were only staying one night. Theresa is a gem and had great information about the surrounding area. If you have time, check out Mesa Falls, which was a suggestion from Theresa! Not much to choose from to eat, and bc it's farther out, the wait time to eat was about an hour, so go early and BE PATIENT. We ate at Connies across the parking lot. Pretty good food, but very convenient !

Its a dog shelter, not suitable for humans. We both started to have allergic reactions and got up and went to the car to sleep!! Horrible place to stay. The property is in bad shape

Our room was pleasantly decorated. The bathroom was large. Loved the property, the buildings, the outdoor areas, the proximity to Yellowstone, the proximity to restaurants, gas and grocery store. The staff was pleasant and did a good job cleaning each day. We didn't like that the pool water was cold, the hot tub didn't have working jets, and breakfast was not warm enough. Also the fridge in our room made noise like a very loud cpap machine. We had a stay there overall, and we'd be happy to return.

Outstanding resort! The bed was new, cleanness, bathroom completely clean, updated no smell. This resort in right next to Yellowstone, after a day exploring, and hiking it felt like home comfortable large rooms. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This lodge is nice. The room was large, with comfortable beds. The bath linens were plush and extras were in the room. The reception desk staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking and the lodge had easy access to the highway. The breakfast was ok, but after having the same items for 4 days, something different would have been nice.

I was pleasantly surprised by the ample size of the room and the lodge itself. Complimentary breakfast was a bonus. Proximity to Yellowstone was perfect. Really loved our stay and the staff was friendly and easy to work with.

We loved our stay here! It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue was that it was hot at night. I’m not sure if the AC unit was working. It was in September though so we opened the windows and used the fans that were in the closet. But overall very happy with our stay.

Rooms were cozy and nicely decorated to complement the area. Desk chair and room chair were worn out and uncomfortable. Shower was handicap equipped hence lacked threshold. Shower curtain was too short and installed on half circle curtain rod that extended beyond shower floor causing water to spill all over the bathroom floor. Poor insulation in floors every morning I was woken up by guests in room above me.

We stayed at the Sawtelle Mountain Resort as a reasonably priced alternative while visiting Yellowstone National Park. It is a bit of a drive from Yellowstone, but it allows for a jaunt through West Yellowstone (ice cream and barbecue!) and lovely countryside and mountain views. The staff at the resort are very friendly and helpful; the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The breakfast is adequate although it might have a few more fresh fruit, granola and similar options...but overall we were very pleased with our stay and would book again at Sawtelle without hesitation!

Toilet ran off and on throughout the night and there was water on the floor. Cleanliness was questionable (hair in the shower and raisins in the bedding). Aside from that, room was comfortable and breakfast staff were friendly.

The really liked the property! Only a couple things on the negative side. Fridge and microwave was not working. After a trip down to the office they got it resolved relatively quick. The pool was not in great shape.

Although the location was quite far from our planned activities, this hotel was in a quiet location and clean. To my surprise, the stay came with continental breakfast included.

Over priced for what they offer. Breakfast was a joke, same junk every morning. Nothing to do after 9pm, all stores and restaurants are closing at 9pm. Too far away from West Yellowstone entrance, take 25-30 minutes to get there.
