No cable. Tv had a busted leg would not stand up straight. But had a cigarette burn in it. Door did not seal properly.

Pulling in parking lot , people partying and did not look safe to stay with my kids !

Furniture was damaged, The fire/smoke alarm was missing from the room. The fan in the bathroom was hanging by wires. The room flooring was very dirty and stained. We asked for the first two items to be fixed right when we got there. When we came back after night one nothing was touched. We asked for a refund and canceled our next two nights due to the condition of the property. Thankfully the motel offered to not charge us for the 2nd night since we were not comfortable with staying there. The exterior and lobby is nice but they need some serious work to get this motel up to a decent place to stay.

Carpet was dirty and stained. Bugs everywhere. Small roaches crawling around in room and bathroom. Not enough towels and ones that were placed smelled dirty.

Roaches, crickets, spiders and mosquitoes all in the room. Very dirty.

Wouldn’t allow early check in

It was ok for one night. There’s a reason the property is rated a 2 star hotel

No soap, said they “ran out”. Hand shower and diverter are broken. Carpet needs cleaning. Bed spread needs to be cleaned. One morning no coffee at continental breakfast because machine was broken. Furnishings badly need upgrading.

There was a group of workers sitting in the parking lot drinking beer when I got there. The lady at the registration desk saw them and didnt ask them to leave. The check-in was friendly, but took longer than it shiuld have. The stair room to get up to the 2nd floor was filthy. The ice machine was broken. The door to my room was hard to close, and there were dead crickets on the floor in there, even after housekeeping came. I lost my key day 2, and the new face at the desk was extremely friendly, though took her about 5 minutes to come out and greet me. She took my room number and made me a new key, without even checking my license or even asking my name to verify I was the person registered to stay in that room. I felt pretty uncomfortable with that, so I left and didn't stay the 2nd night.

When I received my room card no information came with it. Made it to the door and couldn’t get it. After a trip back to the office, she gave some valuable information on how to use it that she could have said in the first place. Room was clean and cold. Shower was hot; tile was broke at base; toilet leaked when flushed. 2 beds, 1 soft, 1 hard. Quiet stay. Idk what was for breakfast as it was not told.

The sheets and towels were clean. The surfaces were cleaned, but the carpet was full of stains and outdated, the door was full of stains and dirt and was difficult to open and close. The key card reader wasn't working and we struggled to get into the room. It looked like there was dried up vomit on the curtains. The upholstery on the chair was full of stains and none of us wanted to sit on it. The toilet roll holder was broken. We could tell the cleaning staff did their best to clean, but the room needs a complete remodel, new carpet, new curtains, new everything. It was disgusting and I was ashamed to have my family in that environment.

Roach motel is understatement. Rooms full of various bugs and roaches. AC spotty just not nice place

Several construction workers loudly played music outside and drank. Pool was not what we expected. The room was clean but bathroom needed an upgrade. They ran out of morning coffee and hot water for tea or cereal.

Had vehicle in the parking lot area that had tire off a looked to be sitting there a while. Missing tile in the shower. Holes in the drawers in the furniture. One towel for two adults. Felt like sand paper. Had to go to Walmart to buy towels

Desk chair broken. Other chair was dirty and well worn. Room needs carpet deep cleaned. Queen room ,only had one set of towel had to ask for more

Receptionist was Very kind. Room were good. Pool was clean. Definitely go back and stay again.

Very ran down and out dated. It was the only place we could get a room that night. Or more like morning it was about 2am. We were just thankful we found a room to get a few hours of sleep.

The AC did not put out cool air and the AC made an awful noise.. made it hard to sleep. The bathroom door did not completely shut and the sink faucets were filthy. The front desk staff was very friendly. Not much of a breakfast, we decided not to eat. It was very minimal selection.

Quiet

The guy working the front desk was really nice and helpful, but went downhill from there. The pictures look good but when you get there everything is old, the carpet had too many stains to count, cracked floor tile in the bathroom, bent toilet paper holder. The towels and sheets were nice and clean and it seems like the cleaning staff does a good job, but overall the rooms are old and outdated. I am not saying this to be rude or mean, but to warn others and inspire the owners to put some money into their investment.

The motel itself is basic. The first room we got smelled absolutely horrible, like burning plastic. We quickly discovered that the microwave had suffered a fire of some sort and the microwave door was melted. The smoke detector had been completely removed from the wall, the furniture was extremely dirty and the bed covers had multiple burn marks on them. I requested a room change. The second room smelled better, but was pretty dirty. There is a white paste-like splash of something on the night table, but I am trying not to focus on it, because there are not any other rooms available.

There were SO many 1 & 2 star reviews on the internet for this property of how dirty and nasty it is. I was extremely hesitant to have my family stay here in the two rooms I reserved several months ago for my daughter's graduation on 5/11/24 for Tarleton University. I had also made backup reservations at the La Quinta Inn & Suites 30 minutes away in Glen Rose. I could cancel both reservations up till the day before arrival with no charge. My 79-year-old mom is very particular about the cleanliness of a hotel/motel room. She doesn't mind one being old and dated, but certainly won't stay in a dirty, gross place. She immediately checks the sheets after check-in and the bathroom. I called and talked to the manager, Luis, at the Stephenville Super 8 four days before arrival about my concerns of all the negative reviews. I asked if he could assign me two rooms ahead of time on the upper floor that he personally knew were in decent shape which he did. We were in rooms #227 with a king bed & couch and #229 with two queen beds and an over-stuffed chair. The rooms were clean, no weird smells, cold AC. Couple tiny stains on carpet. My tv in #229 had a bad picture. I told Luis and a new tv was installed. Pool area was spotless. Lobby was extremely clean. Continental breakfast was juices, coffee, cereals, muffins, etc... I don't know why all the horrible reviews. It was a clean, budget motel for $65. A to Luis and friendly staff.

Just nasty

This is a hotel for constructions workers. When my teenage daughter and I checked in early Sunday everything seemed okay. But late evening and Monday the hotel was filled with construction laborers. Every afternoon it was filled with guys in the parking lot drinking, playing music and smoking. I wish the hotel management gave my daughter and I heads up this might not be the hotel for you. We felt very unsafe and uncomfortable. The property it’s self isn’t horrible but needs some work. The hotel staff is friendly.

We didn’t actually stay there, reservation was screwed up as same night as stay in Brady. Horrible experience with expedia. Will reconsider using expedia again.
