Wonderfully view of the alps!!

I don’t usually post a review, but this was an exceptionally well run family hotel. Great location, fantastic facilities, and such friendly and attentive staff. Recommend this to anyone looking for a Chamonix hotel who doesn’t mind a short train journey (5-6 mins) into the town!

This is a wonderful hidden gem of a hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the food wonderful (highly recommend doing one of the excellent set menus for dinner!) and the staff was exceptional. Ms. Farini went far out of her way to return an item I had left behind in the room, and I am eternally grateful for her assistance! The hotel is a short distance from downtown Chamonix, but the peaceful surroundings and accessibility via train, bus, or even walking make the extra distance seem like nothing, especially for such a great deal and excellent service. Highly recommended and I will stay here again!

The owners/staff of L’Aguille du Midi hotel were very accomodating, from having a delicious dinner ready for us on our late arrival, to helping with information on some activities we had planned, and allowing us to check out early for an unforeseen reason. The view from our room was fabulous, breakfast was great, and we really enjoyed our stay!

Lovely family owned place with good restaurant, excellent service and just out of hustle and bustle of chamonix
Right beside Les Bossons train and bus stop so easy access to town but without noise
Will definitely return on next visit to chamonix valley

I think the pictures are a little misleading. The room we were given was very small and the overall hotel was quite dated. The breakfast was EUR14 per person.

Such a wonderful stay. A very familial feel, good customer service. Can't wait to go again.

Superb atmosphere and homely feel. Seeing the beautiful view of Glacier de Bossons everyday from my window was awe inspiring. Hotel staff were very kind & accommodating too.

Beautiful warm cozy hotel.
Welcoming stuff. Nice rooms.
Feels like Home away from home

Very nice place with super helpful staff. It's a bit outside of the main town, but the restaurant is good and it was peaceful.

The team at L'Aiguille du Midi were incredibly friendly and helpful. The wifi was a little on the slow side but overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

A lovely hotel with amazing views of the Glacier de Bosson. Staff were exceptionally friendly, the restaurant served excellent quality food, and good value too.
On the bus route to Les Houches, Chamonix and La Praz all skiing areas were easily accessible.

Very nice, view, sauna, friendly staff etc. Some might say it's a bit far from the city, but the public transport is fast and the distance ok such that we walked it several times. Would give 5 stars except for two problems:
1) When I leave a note "do not disturb" on the door, it really means I don't want the maid to enter that day.
2) One afternoon I had a mild food poisoning. Can't be sure of its origin, but the only thing I had eaten that day was breakfast at the hotel.
Regardless, this is a likely place to stay if we visit Chamonix again.

I have given a two star rating for two reasons. One is that the view (not from my window though) is great and the other one is that the breakfast is good (I rate the breakfast as; OK, Good, Excellent and Outstanding, and I also grade them differently according to the continent and within the countries, thus you shall not compare in this case to a US hotel breakfast, but to a French).
The room: Quite simple, one double bed, one 18 inch diameter table, two small chairs, and a TV hanging on the wall. That is all (and I did not forget anything). There is a built is closet with shelves and an other part for cloth to be hanged. The real "treatment" however is the bathroom. The sink facet water dispersion is a thin but strong flow, hard to use for anything. The toilet seat does not stay up - some inconvenience in case if you are a man. The Shower: It has a step-in opening of ca. 10 inch, the depth of the shower is ca. 8-9 inches but please deduct from that the facet size. There is a curtain which wraps around you if you foolishly want to close it. I was thinking that what would that mean to anyone if I say that I have never seen anything like that? Not much I guess, but then I made a fair assessment that since the past forty years I spent in an average of 60 days a year in hotel rooms, thus even with the recurring hotel usages I have been over two-thousand hotels, but never seen anything bad like this. Other rooms and baths might be better in this hotel than the one I have given.

Cute place near Chamonix...outside of the mini-hustle of the main area. No one really seemed to work the reception area - so it took us a while to find someone to check us in & we just left our key at the desk for check out.

The hotel has beautiful grounds and anazing views to mont blanc and the bossons glacier. It was so wonderful sitting out on the terrace looking at the magnificent mountains. We arrived about 3 pm without lunch and they served us very delicious soup and a plate of ham and cheese which we had in their TV room. The service was truly excellent. That night we wanted to watch the football and they served us an excellent salad which we took on very comfortable seats in front of their TV screen. Spain beat Turkey yay! We stayed only 2 nights and had our own transport to take us down to Chamonix.

Lovely chalet style family run hotel. Staff were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Room was spotless. Lovely restaurant serving excellent food and plenty of it! Hotel is surrounded by wonderful scenery and area is very peaceful. Less than five minutes to bus stops and train station. Highly recommended.

We loved the hotel, the food (we had dinner there 3 times) & above all, the friendly & very helpful staff!

Received a warm welcome on arrival. Staff made our stay very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.

We visited Chamonix for a long weekend ski trip.
The hotel is in Bousson, just a few stops outside the Centre of Chamonix by bus and, if you want to take the train into Chamonix, the station is just across the road from the Hotel. Both are free and are very convenient.
We loved the hotel, the friendly and very competent staff, the relatively spacious and well equipped room, sauna and the gorgeous restaurant food.
We will definitely return to this hotel again on our next trip to Chamonix.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff in a genuinely family-run business. Good breakfasts and dessert buffet at dinner, all home-made!

We had a lovely three day stay there, enjoying all the facilities and the excellent service

Quaint hotel, gorgeous food and lovely staff. Would definitely stay again.

Staff was extremely helpful, hotel was beautiful. 100m from train station to Chamonix.

It's a very nice hotel with beautiful views. The family who run it make an effort to make you feel welcome. Good food so try the restaurant.

The hotel was very smart but the shower was completely unacceptable to the extent that it made our short visit very disappointing. There was no bath and the shower was incredibly small with a curtain that clung to you as you showered. We eneded up showering with the curtain moved away and mopped up the water afterwards.
