- Staff at reception is very friendly and helpful - Room is okay, but rather small - very loud AC - breakfast is of minor quality and taste, dirty cups and dishes, breakfastroom was very loud and crowded

The staff was very helpful and respectful. However, they need to advise the guests that noise carries so guests need to speak in softer levels especially at night.

I had booked the hotel over a month in advance with all of our preferences listed. NONE of our preferences were met. We had asked for non-smoking rooms that were adjacent to one another. We received smoking rooms that were not adjacent to each other. We were able to change rooms to another floor for non-smoking rooms. Additionally, every bathroom had a horrible smell that required air freshener to be sprayed every hour and the bathrooms had no ventilation. The shower heads were rusted and the room could use a renovation overall. Our room card didnt work and we had to call the security guard to let us into our room every time we returned to our room. Our late night new years celebrations ended up being cancelled due to trying to resolve all of these issues. Luckily the hotel reimbursed us for 1 rooms cost for 2 nights. However, this was the most expensive hotel stay of all the hotels I have stayed in and this was the absolute worst facility out of all of them. (I stayed in 4 different hotels all better/cleaner and MUCH cheaper than this one). The only positive thing I can say is that the Wi-Fi worked very well.

The stay was satisfactory. But not too good as there are other places giving better facilities.

This property is a blot on Tata brand. Property is maintained so poorly. Since they brand it budget category, probably they feel customers have to put up with very bad maintenance.

Not satisfied. Staff is not responsive. Room cleanliness and facilities not up to the mark. Restaurant and overall food is not good.

The room was good but little bit small but the service is very good one of the staff prabhu is very good food is also good all the tourist places are near by u will get Scotter in hotel it self stay and enjoy the comfort and the most imp is it's secure for couples

The stay at ginger was nice and conmfortable . Reception staff was smily and helpful specially monalisa.Rooms were small but comfortable.house keeping updated daily.We called for extra pillow which was promptly attended too.The reception area was quite open and had cafe coffe day and a small neat restaurent .we wished to stay for two days only, but exteneded our stay for one more day , what more to say.Overall nice experience.

Its my second stay in the same hotel, so i knew not to expect too much. The AC was making a loud noise when switched on, they fixed it eventually.overall decent stay

You can provide dormentary facilities for our accompanying drivers. Wi Fi is not at all working.

Our stay at Ginger Pondicherry was ok. The room was smaller than all other Gingers I have stayed at. So, less space, tiny 20" TV, paint worn off at some places. But, bathroom was clean. We stayed for 5 days - housekeeping wasn't done on one of the days, we too didn't insist as we were too tired. All in all, decent stay. There are plenty of other good options you can try. The hotel at the rate we got during new year was a definitely a good value for money.

The hotel was really clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful. The service was faultless and the food was pretty good and quite cheap. The hotel was good value for money but the only issue was the location, it is a bit far from the town centre.

On the whole the stay was comfortable. I like to give a suggestion kindly provide good ammenities for the car drivers. The car driver complained to me that the facilities were not good at the hotel compared to others. Kindly look into this matter.Hari

It is good. Hotel food is good. Perfect...for last minute planning....!

The hotel house keeping needs to get better. The plates were never cleared for 2 days. The reception staff needs to be more aware of the place and should be able to provide information. The reception did not know much about the city and the places to visit !! They were not helpful when we needed info / help in the late night and we called them to help us with transport. The t-shirt stall guy is very rude. Looks like they do not want to sell - looks has not heard about customer service. Overall they need to be more service oriented and polite. Like the town, people are lazy and laid back!!

Pondicherry was too hot and they did not have a proper split AC. It was the old system AC and it took lot of time to cool the room. That was the major drawback I have faced. Rest everything was as normal as it can be. Any problem was answered and solved immediately. Affordable for a family if you get to book the rooms in discounted priced.

Ideal for the business traveller and also for travellers who wish to reduce expenses on accomodation. All requirements are available and provided for. The breakfast was excellent and sumptuous.

A good value for money hotel. Located a few kilometers away from the city center the location was good for us as we had our own car and Pondicherry itself is not a very big city. The hotel room was decent though not perfect - the bedsheets had a few stains and we had to get them changed. The paint in the rooms was coming out at a few places which does not really give a good picture of the maintenance. The food in the restaurant was decent in quality but the biggest disappointment was the way the big rush was being managed by the restaurant guys at the buffet breakfast. The time was 7:30 but they were barely ready by 8:00 with many people already waiting to start. The restaurant guys had no clue how to manage the rush and surprisingly were taking it easy as if it was a routine affair. However, at Rs 1500/- a night with complimentary breakfast I would still rate it as a good value for money.

The hotel reception staff is very polite and hospitable. They attend tp every minute details we tell them and attended to immeditely. The rooms are nice and well maintained. clealiness is spupreme and the bedsheets and pillow covers are changed at our rquest. Overall it has the tradition of TATA hospitality
