Front desk (Dakota) was friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic, which made the experience extra nice. The outdoor swimming pool was well-kept, clean and with good views. Laundry was convenient. We had a resort-like stay. Highly recommended under this management. (May change soon.) No restaurants unless you drive to Torrey, but close to Capitol Reef NP.

This was a very nice hotel in the middle of nowhere! Dakota was super friendly and helpful to answer our questions of places to see in the area. The pool was super clean. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again if we come back out that way!!

Great room and staff

Location is right in the middle of two national/state parks- great for traveling. There is not a restaurant in this little Utah town but good restaurants just 20 easily driven minutes down the road. Very quiet location :)

A pleasant oasis in the middle of no where. Perfect for our needs. Dakota at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. The pool hot tub were nice. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was simple but yummy. They had a lot of information available on things to do in the area.

Be prepared there is no phone network in 10 mile radius.

The staff, Lea and Dakota were great. Our check-in was fast and efficient. The room was clean and spacious. Great amenities. We appreciate the information and advice they provided, making our stay easier. Although there is no dining in the vicinity of the hotel, we got excellent recommendations for dining in Hanksville, about a 20 minute drive from the hotel.

Great place to stay if you're packing a picnic dinner. The hotel is clean and comfortable and has been remodeled quite nicely, but there is nowhere close to go eat. Breakfast hours start a bit late for those who need to get an early start and selection is limited. I really hope the owners can make a go of it, they were quite nice. I would stay again, but I would be better prepared.

Tastefully updated rooms in a quiet location near Hanksville UT, 15 minutes to the Capitol Reef visitor center and access to a road to Cathedral Valley was just around the corner. The beds were very comfortable and the manager really helpful with special requests. We definitely recommend Cathedral Valley Inn and would love to return.

Far out of Torrey but very nice hotel.

The hotel is located on a main road but in a remote area on the way to Capitol Reef National Park. There is nothing around it in terms of shops, restaurants, gas, etc. That is not a negative - just something to be aware of. There was plenty of free parking. It was nice that breakfast was included - especially considering the remote nature. All staff that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. In spite of a June visit, the pool was not open.

Our TV wasn't working and the continental breakfast was a bit lean, but a nice, clean place to stay. The management team were nice and helpful.

Nice ans kind owners and nice area even if there is no restaurant in site. Rooms are quiet and well arranged. Breakfast was nice you can do your own waffles 😉

Hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, so plan ahead and buy everything you need. Very close to Coral Reef park. Very friendly staff. Clean and well maintained property.

This is a refurbished motel. Rooms are uncharacteristically quiet, considering there were parties happening above and around us. Beds are clean and bedding is comfortable, and we slept like logs. Furnishings look updated and it was clean for a motel off the main highway. I am a stickler for cleanliness. We usually stay in luxury hotels and resorts. The room was acceptable. I expected a run-down, smelly motel room when we drove up, so our room was a nice surprise. Pool was covered and unavailable in late May, but it is a huge outdoor pool. If you are expecting a pool, better ask before you go if it's open. The day front desk was extremely helpful. He went over the top to make our stay the best he could and is super friendly and knowledgeable. The substitute front desk clerk didn't even know there was a visitor center a few miles down the road, so best not to ask him any questions. They do offer handouts of things to visit in the area on a table in the lobby. Hot and cold breakfast is a bonus considering there is nothing for miles. Bring food to this property, except for breakfast.

Lei, Ricky & Dakota are wonderful. A great place to stay if you’re heading into or out of canyonlands or the cathedral valley loop.

It is an older hotel but was very comfortable. Hardly any other places in the area. We had just jumped off the Cathedral Valley loop and hotel was right there when we exited. The check in was great. Super nice people.

The room felt new and fresh. I loved the towels and shower curtain being more decorative than plain white--it felt more like home. Dakota(front desk) was very informative, professional, and helpful with maps for the area. This facility appears very well cared-for. The breakfast was filling and adequate. The onlysmall thing i would mention is the cleaners they use give the room a very fresh scent, but were a bit strong for someone with fragrance sensitivities. Still would definitely recommend.

Excellent place to stay. You are about 15 min from restaurants and stores, but this is much nicer and better value than the places closer to Capitol Reef.
