Poor, overpriced option in Tekapo. Do not recommend. Cramped rooms and poor service from front desk staff.

Very comfortable, great location. In unit laundry was very convenient.

Sadly our room was pretty much like a cell. Virtually no natural light, (a tiny window that required curtain to be kept shut cos faced all the cars parking) and the wall was painted with an under-coat but not completed. You do not expect the room to be mid renovation when you are not getting a discounted price. Seriously! I must say the shower is wonderful though.

This is a beautiful resort next to a stunning lake.
The downfall is that their regular hotel rooms are about the size of a king bed, and they are furnished with king beds, so there is absolutely NO room to maneuver. We joked that you had to step outside to change your mind.
The property was in the process of updating their rooms, so there was a delay for our room. They comped us some drinks while we waited. Unfortunately, our room still smelled like new paint and we had to ask for another room. There was some issues with getting a new room, but we did. Same size, but no smell.
We attempted to do laundry and even after 3 sessions in the dryer, our clothes were no where near dry, had to iron, blow dry, hang, and hope.
It's a beautiful resort, and Aaron Ivory took great care of us, but they do still have some work to do.

The food and location of the property was excellent, massive shoutout and thanks to Aaron for making the extra effort in the kitchen!
When arriving in the room however, there was quite a bit of dirt and hair that wasn’t cleaned, additionally the saftey bar attaching the latch was not secure at all

The staff is helpful. The views of the lake view rooms are excellent. The location is excellent. Size of the lake room is large enough.

The location is lovely, but for a resort like this the experience was poor. Arrived an hour after checkin time and our room was still not ready, and then when trying to get some cutlery to our room, was told this couldn't be done - I'd have to come to the restaurant and pick it up myself. Not an easy feat for someone with a knee injury.

This is a small space with comfortable beds.
We were lucky for snowfall overnight which made the stay very enjoyable,

It was a good experience overall. The room was and the bed was comfortable, though it was not fully sound proof as we can hear the people from upstairs and the other unit.

The room smelled like chemicals, then I found a can of bug spray in the cupboard and realized that it is what the room smelled like. Not an environment I wanted to sleep in.
My TV wasn't working and I had to get someone to come fix it which took about 20 minutes.
My meal at the restaurant was pretty bad. After a long day, I was looking forward to a decent meal and was quite disappointed.

Very tidy and modern place to stay.
Friendly staff at reception and its open 24 hour's.
Note the smallest room was very very small and had no chair or table unfortunately which you couldn't tell when booking.

I have separate bookings for this hotel in my trip and the staff was very helpful to arrange the rooms of my various booking. I booked the lake view deluxe room and suite and the view is wonderful. The location of the hotel is very convenient and close to city centre, supermarket, hot spring centre and local tour gathering point. The rooms are comfortable. Tea bags were refilled daily.
Only problem is some hairs were found in the bath tub.

Good room - comfortable big king bed, lovely shower. Room was small and wifi was spotty. But nice for a one night stay. The hotel rooms are very small for the tariff and any more than 1 night, I would recommend a larger room. But pleasant staff, easy checkin and quiet location.

Worst resort ever. Room is poorly maintain, heater loud like an engine.

One night stay, so happy with what was offered

Staff were very friendly, room had great views, easy walk to cafe's shops, nice food, will go back.

It was a good hotel, with nice views. We got the deluxe room with lakeview. It was big and was nice with both a bathtub and shower. Something we noticed that areas for storage was missing, even though the room was big and there was plenty of space to put up some more benches/shelves. We kept most of our things on the floor. Other than that, nice staff, close to all restaurants and stargazing places. Easy to park.

Stunning views on all directions. Recommended restaurant.
Spacious rooms. Very clean.
Definitely recommend.

Property was okay for a family of 8. Washing machine and Dryer were broken on arrival which was diappointing. Great view from living room.

Enjoyed a lovely stay, staff and management were very accommodating to a special request I had.

Very helpful staff who happily changed our room when TV didn’t work

The room we ended up in was good. Be careful when booking because all the pictures are of the upgraded rooms. We even book a king room and when we arrived the room felt more like a closet. The restroom was bigger than the rest of the living space. We went back to the desk and upgraded and the second room was way better. Very comfortable and relaxing with a great view. Was definitely frustrating to have to pay extra though for what we thought we would receive initially.

Delightful, helpful staff. Tekapo is beautiful. The view from our room was magnificent.
Will definitely stay at Peppers Tekapo again.

Enjoyed the view - the room was spacious as was the bathroom facilities - However housekeeping did not make up TWO beds as requested in my booking - Enjoyed a meal in the restaurant that night and breakfast the next morning was OK

Overall a nice resort location after visiting Mount Cook, but at night time it’s impossible to see where you’re walking, so you need a flashlight or your phone. Also my room was so small that I literally could not put my suitcase on the floor and open it without walking into it while getting to the bathroom - so it was realllly hard tight having 2 people in the room. Kinda overpriced for how small of a room it was, especially during a low season. Thankfully I only booked 1 night!

Had a very nice 3-night stay.
Front office staff was perfect, making everything superb from the get-go.

Gorgeous views, delicious meals, exceptional service in the restaurant.

Room was too small, bathroom was great and very warm, bed was comfortable

The view is amazing! The breakfast is worth the price. The facilities are kinda old but the room is clean and big. There is a plaza nearby with lots of restaurants and shops. But it's not walkable in the night time cause there is no light on the street.

Great location and nice staff. However, Expedia lists this property as providing ‘free toiletries’. On arrival and check-in to the property, we were advised that toiletries in the form of toothbrush, shaving kit etc were not provided by the property. We were unable to purchase any outside the property due to limited options in the area and available stores already closing for the day. Fine with toiletries not being free, but at least make them available to be purchased from reception.

Disappointing to find a dirty facecloth on the microwave and lipstick on the wine glass in the room we had.

Dirty bathroom. Mold in bathroom walls. Room is very very very small.0

The room we got allocated to is very, very small. Space is so small that there was no way to move around the room with our luggages. We had to move the luggages whenever we want to move around. Furthermore, the toilet felt dirty with sticky floor. We were glad that our stay was only one night. Despite us reaching the hotel late, we left immediately the next morning as it was too uncomfortable in the room. We have stayed in many hotels during our stay in New Zealand and unfortunately, we had the worst experience in this hotel.

Staff were good. Food was excellent. Bedrooms were tiny - only fitted 2 beds pushed together. Electric blanket didn't work. Had to get out of bed to turn off light. Bedsight light not suitable for reading by. Heat pump not working properly. Light bulb in bathroom blown. Bathroom heater didn't work. No view except back of other units. Not value for money.

The resort is lovely, gorgeous location. Easy access to town centre and amenities.
Staff were friendly and happy.
Room was comfortable but be warned, if you book a standard room they are very small with no view other than a small window looking at other rooms. So small that we had to store 1 suitcase in the bathroom. Bed was comfy, bathroom is lovely. Also the standard rooms share an entrance with the larger apartments, this meant that both nights we had guests confused as to which door was theirs and trying to open our door
3.0
The fridge was not working. The buffet breakfast which we paid extra for was appalling, very low standard in the kitchen and I would not even consider dinner after that experience.
View was very average as we were looking onto a carpark and building - then the lake. The block next door obstructed the view too.
1.5
The facility is a beautiful property. Very well maintained. BUT. Our room was so tiny we couldn’t move. We literally looked directly out the only window at our parked car. Our heat pump would not work despite an hour working on it. Called front desk 3 times and were told “I am working with people at front desk” ). Finally about 1 1/2 hour later, he came and brought a small space heater. This was at 9:15 PM. Otherwise, it was fine.
