The outside exterior could do with a fresh coat of paint it gives a very false view of the inside of the pub and rooms which were very modern and lovely. Food was excellent and service very good at breakfast. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Such a relaxing and amazing stay. Had everything and more in room; little touches very appreciated. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much for them to do for you. Made me and my daughters stay very special. Breakfast was beautiful and left very full. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Will definitely stay again.

Great Inn with a lovely friendly welcoming feel. Staff are attentive but in a relaxed way. Food was superb and it’s obviously a very popular place for families and couples alike. We stayed for 3 nights and would have given 5 stars but the pillows were really thin and hard. There is also a really irritating sensor light in the bathroom. If you need to visit the bathroom in the night you’re completely woken up by the bright light which also floods the bedroom in light.

Check if kitchen open the evening you stay . We found out few hours before check in that kitchen closed so we had to drive to Aylsham to eat . We had wanted to eat at plough as both could then drink as no driving needed . The manager did give us some money towards our meal which was an appreciated gesture However further disappointment when we returned from our meal the pub was closed - about 8pm . We had planned a drink in the bar when back and had not been advised this was going to be closed Understand off season and mid week if not busy not worth being open but do tell the customers you do have so they are not disappointed

Great place to stay to explore North Norfolk. Really clean and comfortable. All staff really welcoming and friendly. Restaurant was closed unfortunately but understood the reason and breakfast was fresh and really good. Rooms were spacious and bed very comfortable. Bathroom looked brand new and modern.

This is a great place to stay! Plenty of parking, great food, comfortable room with really excellent en-suite facilities. The service was generally good, though on a couple of occasions things seemed a bit hit-and-miss in the restaurant. However, when delays did happen we always received an explanation and apology. Flowerbeds outside need attention and rather let the place down appearance-wise, we thought. The stairs are a bit steep for oldies, though in fact we did manage OK. Sometimes a bit noisy in our room, but not when it actually mattered - we always slept well on comfy and well made-up beds.

When we first arrived we were greeted by friendly faces and dealt with straight away.We were taken to room and given detail's about our stay and breakfast details.Key for room door and also external key in case late back from wedding.

It 'sparkled' Restaurant portions large, Breakfast excellent, including kippers! Staff excellent. Room newly modernised, only issues no lift, but mentioned on website and shower did not have non-slip tray, otherwise excellent allround

Excellent selection of food in the restaurant and a good breakfast. Rooms are spacious and fairly comfortable. Would have preferred a firmer mattress but perhaps thats just me. Shower needs updating as lacking power and heat was fluctuating a lot.
