Very good stay nice staff I will come back asap

Whilst we did enjoy our stay at the Daniel Hotel, the bedrooms lacked milk for the coffee machine, no bath towels, nothing in the fridge bar.
The friendliness of staff could be improved to make the guest feel special.

Staff were extremely helpful. Fantastic service

Great location and good value for money. The staff gives the impression they just couldn't be bothered. Especially the pool entrance guy, who, when the towelling issueing machine wouldn't work would simply shrug and referred us back to reception. Good breakfast, though at 150 shekel far too dear.

In its heyday, I’m sure the hotel was excellent, but sadly it is in need of a lot of work to raise the standard. What at first appears to be a 4*+ hotel, is in fact an average 3* at best. Some of the staff were very accommodating and welcoming, most however were not. The bar service was dreadful, the rooms very dated and poorly maintained with broken tiles in the bathroom, poorly applied sealant around the sink etc. However the pool was fabulous and the food in the restaurant was generally excellent. Overall I got the feeling that the owners were simply waiting to redevelop the hotel, but were limping it along until they do.

This hotel was disgusting. You can see in the pictures. They didn't even clean the room between the last people and us. There was hair everywhere, feces on the toilet, stains on the sheets, garbage on the floors, and every surface both in and out of the rooms were stained. Not to mention the staff is extremely rude and unhelpful.

Thanks for an amazing vacation. Although it was August, the hotel was calm and quiet and the staff was very friendly and kind.

Great pool, east beach access, great food options! We’d defiantly stay at the Daniel again!

Older building - our room was refurbished and nice (seaside view). Building common areas were hit or miss for cleanliness. Area near pool not great, older not maintained and dirty. Dead roach by the elevator on pool level. Cleaning staff in room ok not amazing. Great area- beach side. Take stairs down to beach need key cards access to exit and enter. Staff lazy wouldn’t hold door for me when I was carrying 8 mega liters of water, even though I asked for help. Forget bell hop service back down not happening. Crowded elevators. Very solid food.

Basically good place, excellent pool beautiful views. but needs upgrades to lounge chairs, general condition of carpeting and room fixtures, amenities.

Searched along the coast and chose this hotel becasue of direct access to beach, rather than across the street as in Tel Aviv or down a high cliff as in Netnaya. Was not disappointed. We had a room in the newer part with a great seaview. Another family member had a first floor room in the older part (that was a bit more dated). Service within the hotel was good. Friendly and (mostly) helpful staff. Food was good, including shabbat. Elevators worked well.
Pool towel system is a ridiculous dispensing and return set of vending machines, that wrok fine, but accomplish nothing in terms of tracking, because after a few days you still end up with more than your allotted towels. So it's a waste of time.
It is also ridiculous that the pool closed at 6pm in the summer and on most days the outdoor seating area was closed off by 7, long before sunset.
Finally, there is very very very limited free parking. Street parking is available but is charge from 8am until midnight! by the city.
That all being said. We will most assuredly stay here again .

the outside (facing the beach) is looking very tired and needs a facelift

The Daniel is now an older hotel and it shows signs of aging. That said it has a wonderful location and it is definitely worth you while to book a seaside room. We were in a suite which gave us a Nespresso machine, but after the first 3 pods the hotel charged for additional pods. The desk was very helpful but the staff in the lobby restaurant tried to not be around.

There were maintenance issues with the shower which I reported to the front desk. I maintenance worker did come to the room but the issue was not resolved. I had to use 2 additional towels each day to mop up the water leaking/running off from the shower onto the bathroom floor.
An iron and ironing board were not available in the room. The ironing room provided was not acceptable. The ironing board was attached to the wall making it difficult to iron and the small room was not clean and did not provide any hooks to hang clothing whilst ironing.
The opening hours of the gym/spa are not suitable for people staying on business.
The breakfast buffet was good and the staff in the restaurants were very friendly.

Stay was comfortable but Hotel very dated. Rooms decor was dark and depressing. Great view from the room though . Best thing about it.
Spa was amazing, best indoor pool I ever experienced but, unfortunately the locker rooms were absolutely terrible. They need a full and complete renovation.

The staff was friendly, efficient and accommodating.
The one issue to pay attention to is room furniture - some of it was old and uncomfortable, but not excessively so.

I had many complaints with the room itself. In the spa wing, there were no terry cloth bathrobes in the bathroom. No slippers... nothing generous. No water in the room. No food or mini bar...no welcome basket... a mechanical problem causing loud noise in the bathroom, a television that did not work ...kept losing its connection... toilet roll holder that went flying off the wall... leaking toilet...nice employees... lots of messy stacking of chairs and tables around corners in the hallway... no fresh fruit cut up at the buffet... a general feeling of being run-down (the premesis). It was obviously a nice hotel in its day... but has not been kept up to the standards of the competition.

This is a nice hotel. The lobby and staff are lovely. The room was comfortable, but had a few maintenance issues. The bedside lamp did not work (and I ensured it was plugged in and that the master light switch was on) and the shower leaked all over the bathroom. I respect Shabbat, but not having room service 24 hrs in a nice hotel like this was disappointing.

Mona at the front desk was very helpful. She was able to move me to a different room to address a concern I had.

Beautiful location. Understandably the industry has been severely affected by the pandemic but good hotels used the low volume to improve the plant. Clearly this faculty is in need of a makeover.

Have stayed at the Daniel several times, either in the hotel itself or in one of the rental units. The property is completely neglected, needs major facelift, poorly maintained hotel. The only part of the hotel that is still nice is the pool deck. Otherwise rooms, hallways and most common areas are dated and VERY tired-looking. Will likely not stay there again in the near future.

As always, a perfect stay in a perfect hotel.

I have been coming to this hotel for 12 years excluding covid years.
The hotel has gradually deteriorated to the point where I won’t be coming again.
The lobby and pool area is great and the beach access is amazing but….
The bedrooms are shabby and I took one of the expensive rooms! The bathrooms are old and mouldy. When they do get cleaned , the badly trained staff don’t replenish the towels.
One day my room wasn’t cleaned til 4:45 pm and that’s because I called to ask them when it was going to be done.
The dining room is a zoo. At one stage there were no plates or cutlery!
The food however is good .
There’s a general lack of service. Such a shame because it’s a wonderfully located hotel near to the shops and restaurants.
The management have really let this hotel go!

The hotel and staff was lovely but there were really big signs of wear and tear on the property. My room had a chair missing the bottoms and scratching the floor. The balcony furniture was odd as well.

It was an amazing family trip - the hotel is far from perfect - in desperate need of renovation. However, the food is excellent especially the breakfast & Friday night meal and the position on the beach is unrivaled. Some of the staff were amazing especially Havit, Alla, Erran & again however some others were quite rude…

Most not all of the staff was rude. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade- nothing like photos. Rooms are run down as is the hotel.

The WORST hotel I've ever stayed in. This is the most poorly represented (do not believe the photos) & gross hotel ever. I hated every moment of it. I can't believe how much we paid. The hotel is older & run-down. The guests who stay here are rough and loud. Our room had blood on the door & a hygeinic bathing suit liner on the floor. The pool is not like in the photos. We paid for an ocean view room. They stuck us in the basement next to the "ball rooms". They didn't tell us that our room was next loud parties & we listened to thumping music all night. We complained. The "guest relations manager" called and was so rude. All she cared about was that my 5 yo wasn't on the reservation and instead of moving our room she informed us that we would be charged another $150! It was an oversight on my part. She treated me like a criminal & asked me, "Is this your first time in a hotel?" She later told my husband that she was sorry & that she gets worked up. Probably not the best person for the job! They promised us there wouldn't be another party the following night. Guess what? There was! With screaming kids and music until 11pm! Then we get a loud knock at our door at 3:30am. Their system was down & they wanted to check someone else into our room but weren't sure if we were in the room or not. The guests above us partied all night. Police were called. In the morning we found cigarettes & trash on our deck from the guests above us & realized our things on our deck were stolen.
