Beautiful chateau hotel with amazing grounds. Very large, nice room but no mini-fridge or safe.

Beautiful elegant location. Amazing breakfast on the terrace. Great food and chateaus nearby. But this hotel could be even better with just a little creativity. I recommend putting a bar in the second floor salon and nightly card games a la the Ancien Regime. The space is underutilized

The location was beautiful. It was peaceful and very quiet. I would highly recommend you hire a car as this hotel is out of the way. Otherwise we had a lovely stay at this place.

One night at Chateau Des Arpentis was a dream. Everything was excellent.

I loved so much about this gem. Kids enjoyed the freedom to walk the grounds, wooden sword fight and use their imaginations! The piano could use some tuning (we are a musical family), but the kids enjoyed learning how to play French pool and practice reading their awesome book collection. Victor Hugo books in French!

Very nice and friendly reception

Remote, quiet location. Beautiful property, amazing room (we had the villa away from the Château). You'll need to bring your own wine, cheese, picnic, food...the only food service is continental breakfast....but Ambroise is a very quick drive with many food options.

Beautifully renovated chateau....tho too many stuffed animals everywhere! Room was beautiful and really comfortable. Lovely lounge area but no bar or eating facilities and staff were rather pedantic and reluctant to allow use of their cutlery or coffee machine. Dishwasher was available
...but always full and dirty and no other crockery available. Games were available but incomplete...only half a set of cards and no balls to go with table football. Swimming pool floor was very dirty and unwelcoming. Sadly lacking in attention to little details but otherwise lovely. Also lacking in focus with either a bar or food area needed.

One of my favorite stays in France. Property is remarkable with multiple areas to get lost and relax. Quiet country setting. Rooms are updated and fabulous. Breakfast was delicious and staff was friendly and inviting. Highly recommend!!!

We loved our stay. The chateau is stunning. Bed was not super comfy but the rest made up for it.

We had a lovely stay at a gorgeous château. The only minor issue is that the manager seem to get irritated with me because I was having difficulty with the washing machine.

It felt like I was in a dream within this castle. The manager Laurent was extra ordinary and helpful and friendly and very professional. I can’t say enough about this castle. I recommend you to stay for a real experience in a real castle.

This chateau is lovely, with lots of cool details regarding decor. It was underwhelming, however, because it felt like we were staying in someone's house but they were having family over for the holidays and were annoying houseguests. Starting with the good: the bed was comfortable (but not a king sized...really? The rooms are enormous and can easily fit king sized beds...). The bathroom was clean. There were a couple bottles of water for us in the room. Things that could be improved: put King sized beds in these enormous rooms. Clean up the coffee/tea station, if not every few hours than at least overnight (our dirty cups were still there the morning after we had afternoon tea). Provide a breakfast worthy of your heritage. Every hotel I've ever been in in France serves the most amazing breakfast; the one at this chateau was minimal and lackluster, with bad coffee. Provide nicer toiletries. Make the windows open-able for fresh air. These are a few of the details that could make the chateau feel worth the nearly $200 euros per night we paid. Instead, it feels like they are depending on their "chateau" status to attract guests instead of providing top-notch service.

Lovely stay. Lovely staff. Do ring ahead if you need a child bed, since they do run out. If the weather agrees, the pool is spectacular. It also has its own microkitchen where you can put your own cold drinks. Rooms were charming, perhaps the bathroom fixtures could be improved/fixed. Breakfast was just right, perhaps a bit overpriced.

The property was beautiful both inside and out. The Chateau is located down a tree lined lane and is surrounded by a large grassy area and woods. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated. The property has a wonderful salon area and also serves a continental breakfast for a fee.

Historic opportunity. Arrived late and exhausted. Room not so comforting, fabulous bathroom. Breakfast a bit fraught, everyone trying hard!

Unique to stay in an chateau, great location, modern pool. Room service was very efficient, we had our breakfast downstairs and by the time we went up to our room again they must of ran to clean as it was all done. Good breakfast. It’s an old building kept with authentic old furniture which is part of the charm so don’t expect modern furniture or appliances.

The Chateau is beautiful and the breakfast, pool and service are excellent! The decor is a little bit dated but that adds to the charm. The Chateau is also a very short drive from Amboise, which is a gorgeous little town with lots of terrific dining options. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in the Loire Valley.

This place is fantastic. Very original and very, very nice rooms. The staff was fantastic and great location. One of the best chateaus we have stayed in.

Very nicely renovated Château! The location is fantastic for exploring the Loire Valley, but the Château is a bit isolated. Our room was awesome, and we enjoyed the breakfast. Besides being a bit isolated, the only thing we didn’t care for was the service. This is really more of an upscale B&B than a hotel, and the desk staff ran the full gamut of helpfulness. The first night, we couldn’t have asked for more! The second, the nice man at the desk was something between unhelpful and confrontational! The brochure in our room said that the breakfast room, while it only served breakfast, was always available for picnics/eating in. On our second night, when we asked about eating our picnic dinner in the breakfast room, we were told that it is not allowed, but we could use the kitchen on the first floor. As it turns out, this seemed to be more of a staff break room with mix-and-match cutlery and chipped/broken mix-and-match dishes than a guest kitchen. It was ANYTHING but what we were looking for! When I showed the desk attendant the hotel’s guest brochure from our room which clearly said the breakfast room was always available, he said it must be a mistake, and maybe the brochure was old. Honestly, I was stunned that anyone at a “hotel” that holds itself out to be a 4* hotel would even consider that such an interaction was acceptable! All in all, great facility w(exceptionally average service at best. No bar/restaurant (except for breakfast service), and Wifi spotty.

And absolutely gorgeous château most beautiful rooms you probably will ever come upon we had a corner room that was stupendous with a little alcove and table everything was great about it the only minor thing that happened was we had some silverware a very good knife and some various knives and forks and went To breakfast and we came back the maid had done up our room which we were surprised as was another couple and unbeknownst to us she removed our silverware as well as everything else we normally would have put away our stuff but didn’t think the room was to be done that early

The hotel was very well maintained and was in a secluded, quiet location, minutes away from town. The staff was incredibly friendly, accomadating, and helpful. Highly recommending staying at this hotel.

Wonderful location, beautiful grounds. Even though it is just outside the city and road, it felt a world away from the hustle. Room was spacious, well lit, warm, and inviting. Windows opened onto amazing garden. Staff was friendly, courteous, and knew our breakfast requests the second morning without us needing to ask. We felt absolutely spoiled at this location.
