Stayed on building opposite the pub. The closest thing to a hostel / bedsit premises I gave stayed in for a while. A faint odour of 'old' hits you at the front door - not the best. Check in / out was good, nice and friendly. Evening meal in pub was ok. A nice Merlot though a little pricey for a large one. All in all, they wont see me again...

Good dinner choices, great breakfast, large spacious, though dated room with a comfortable bed

We only stayed one night as attending an event at the NEC. The bedroom was fine . Didnt like having to climb up to the second floor though as have some mobility problems . It was oainful and slow for me. I didnt notice any options for disabled on the booking site.
Breakfast was great. Lots of options and presented beautifully. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would certainly consider staying again if I needed to go to the NEC.

Attending a we’d at Shustoke Barn & needed room for 3 adults. Room was perfect for our needs & only 5 mins from the venue

Tired, worn carpet. Old bathroom

Excellent room, really comfortable bed & a good shower. Amazing evening meal & friendly staff

The description fitted the hotel. Was what we need for a one nighter. Staff were really helpful.

We stayed two nights and the room was very dated. The whole place really needs some TLC. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast good but no tongs on the first morning for handling bread for toast, no coffee, or water.
Members of staff friendly but some staff may need extra training on how to use the coffee machine.
Overall cheap and cheerful.

Lovely staff and clean room. However, very noisy and hard to sleep due to very loud cars outside, felt like i was sleeping on a formula 1 track. Breakfast was average quality and had to wait 20 minutes for a coffee. Overall good stay but not worth £90.

I was really happy with my service because the front desk staff changed my room so that I could have a bed that was more appropriate for my size, 6'1" without me even asking. The other thing that I was really great was the attached restaurant had a much better than average selection of vegetarian dishes that very quite tasty.

Staff very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and spacious. Large bathroom. Plenty of room at dining. Food was excellent, and very good service. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a family & friends weekend to Gardeners World & Good Food Show at the NEC.
The Coleshill Hotel is perfectly located so I booked 4 rooms.
What a pleasant surprise it was and gem of a place I will certainly be returning to when I am in the West Midlands on business.
Plenty of car parking which is free for guests. Great wifi connection. Smart TV in room. A bath, not shower - What a treat! Great food selection, reasonably priced
But best of all, the staff. Reece who checked us in was born to be in hospitality. He's softly spoken, engaging, happy to answer any (daft) questions. He was very thorough explaining everything in just the right amount of detail.
Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the lad who took our orders in the restaurant. Again he was patient, pleasant, nothing too much trouble - wonderful customer service.
Thank you to the team for a lovely stay, catering from ages 22 - 78 with various needs.

I stayed in the coach house which was run down, and tired, bed was comfortable and a great shower.
Food was served at the pub across the road and it was awful, under cooked and saturated in fat, and breakfast room was grubby with food seemed like it had been stored for days, not a very hygenic arrangement.
Staff were a credit and really helpful

Bar is noisy but after midnight it was quiet.

Handy location for the NEC.
Friendly staff.
Nice room. Good food for breakfast and evening meals.
The next door pub/inn was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. Not a major issue but earplugs are recommended if you are on an early start the next day.

Much better room than last week.
At the back of the main hotel this time so no road noise. This was however replaced with the noise of the kitchen fan. Thankfully this wasn’t on all night.
Great staff and great food.
3.9
Hotel itself is fine, clean, the room was comfortable and well equipped with TV and tea and coffee making equipment. The food in the restaurant was variable. Starters were expensive for what they were and some of the main courses were excellent while others were only mediocre.

Great staff and restaurant. I have been contemplating staying here for years as it’s further away from where I usually stay for work. Having seen the rooms on the hotels.com site and the hotel site I decided to book. Disappointed that the room I had was no where near as nice as the rooms advertised. The room I was in overlooked the road and the room had three single glazed windows. One at the front, side and rear. I think the front window opening and closing latch’s were broken as the window pane frame was screwed to the main frame. I don’t think this was closed fully before this was done as I could hear the birds at 0515 every morning and the traffic very easily. On my last night a group of around ten men were talking fairly loudly until 0040 outside the main hotel entrance. This had started at around 1030. I have never had so much disturbed sleep in a week. I am hoping to have a room that resembles what I have seen next week. I was accommodated across the road on the third floor which isn’t an easy climb with a suitcase full of stuff for a week when you are in your mid 50’s. Would have given stonking feedback if it wasn’t for the room. As mentioned great staff, restaurant and there are plenty of alternative places to eat within walking distance.

My stay was fine, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The décor was a little dated and everything would have benefitted from a little TLC.
3.9
Limited choice of bitters the pints that I wanted wasn't available although the pumps were on the bar.
Breakfast wasn't value for money £12.00, we went for breakfast 8.30 am part of breakfast was also a buffet, there were no pastries left no orange juice very little milk for cereal not what I expected for the price. Vegetarian sausages coated in a plastic type of skin of which my wife didn't like and so left the breakfast.

The staff are great, so friendly and welcoming. The food is great. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom huge. Great access for the NEC just a few miles away. The only thing I would say is the carpet in the room needs replacing.

staff great very helpful room poor heating beer garden at light not lit well corridor lighting very dark

Stayed mid-week for the night. Great hotel/pub . Great price and powerful shower in bathroom. Very convenient for NEC/NCC £10 taxi ride
3.9
Slightly dated & a little tired, but clear & good hot food, cold drinks in the bar - pleasant enough & very handy if your working at the NEC

I have stayed at the Coleshill Hotel a number of times for business and pleasure and have never been disappointed. The reception staff are particularly helpful and pleasant.

We’re we’re visiting family in the area so the hotel was in close proximity to where we needed to travel. Friendly staff and food was reasonably priced. Room was very clean. Music from the downstairs pub on a Saturday night was a bit of a pain when trying to get to sleep, but overall good.

Toilet seat broken, very unstable.
Convenient location to the event my wife and I attended.

I love this hotel, but staying over a weekend is a less than pleasant experience for a jet lagged patron wanting some sleep. The first floor pub closes at 12:30, at which point the party heads to the street, just below my window. Lots of drunken yelling, screaming and foul language from drunken pub patrons. Friday night was bad, but Saturday night was off the charts bad, with not only people yelling and screaming but they got their cars involved, blocking the street entirely with a game of "chicken"- threatening to crash cars that were in the way. The worst of it was the revving engines and very loud explosive backfiring of engines, as loud as gunshot. A person with ptsd would have had a real issue.....This establishment blames the pub down the road, the fact that it's High Street, and to be expected. NO! They need to decide what to do about this. My second time at this hotel and the same issues. Clearly they need a policy for closing on weekends- like a cop on the street to control the drunks. None of them should have been driving. Coles Hill is a lovely town. I don't know why they put up with this. The hotel staff is fabulous, the restaurant is great, the room was comfortable and clean, and it was a great location. I hope this can be rectified. I would stay again, but not unless a policy is put in place to make a restful night's sleep possible. After all, isn't that the point of a hotel?

Awesome staff. Very helpful. Couldn't do enough for us. Will stay again

Lovely little pub with rooms upstairs. Only issue you had no hairdryer or shampoos

We had difficulty arriving as the road was closed which we were not informed of. On arrival we were told we were in the House across the way from the Hotel which we were quite pleased about. Unfortunately, the room was road facing and single glazed. The road traffic noise was very evident all night, including the drey truck delivering to the hotel at 6:25am the next morning which we were not warned about. The TV could only be viewed whilst lay on the bed and the bathroom is in need of a good deep clean.
The staff were actually very pleasant and the breakfast was average (full English) to good (Eggs Royale).
Although we had booked for two nights as we were attending an event at the NEC, we decided to cut our losses and headed home to get a decent nights sleep.

Other hotels have managed to warn of local road closure or event affecting my stay but this place didn’t warn of high street closure for christmas lights and market. Traffic was so horrendous we found a car park and walked.
When we arrived we were warned about the 06:30 beer delivery, which wasn't what woke us.
Breakfast finished at 09:00 so we didn't even try to get there, found an excellent local cafe instead.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Room was cool and quiet (exactly what we requested)
Bed was huge and comfortable.
Bathroom, bedding and towels, pristine and spotless.
If I must give any negatives; the dressing table draw was stiff to open and the room could do with a fresh kick of paint. Both of these are nothing to complain about.
