I needed a place to stay in Haifa for a couple of nights, and the Hotel Marom was great, and didn't break the bank. Marina and her team were kind, spoke great English, and were very accommodating. Located in the middle of the city on a hill, WAZE was able to get me there and back every time with ease.

Doesn't answer nice to the phone, the hotel is old and not maintained properly. The floor tile in my room was broken and at night I cut my leg deep because of it and it ruined my day.
It didn't even seem tell someone because of how old and smelly everything was.
Its good it was just for 1 night.

The good news about this hotel is that it's cheap, the bed was good and the room was quiet. So, I slept pretty well. The desk is in the right place and easy to use near plug sockets. Booking and check-in was fine. Breakfast during Passover was not included in the price which was good because the hotel is not kosher.
That is is where the good news finishes. As their responses to reviews shows and a reaction to a problem I had the owners/managers do not like customers and that drives all the problems with the hotel. Their reaction to a comment about difficulties using the TV was to say that I should have asked the owner about the problem in the morning. Well, most customers use TVs in the evening not the morning. The explanation for the receptionist's lack of interest at night that staff at night are only for security tells you much about the owners' approach.
I lost a rucksack strap during my trip. One of the managers ridiculed the possibility that it could have been left in the lobby. So, I went back to the room. Under the bed, there was a thick layer of dust and a condiment packet from a fast-food place. There was no apology. This could be a decent cheap option for those happy to stay away from the center - the venue isn't great but then the price reflects that. However, this will not happen with the current people in charge.

Hotel Marom is a family owned hotel. Simple (not fancy at all ), very convenient, great location, free parking and free internet with lovely owners on site willing to provide assistance anytime. I have stayed there many times for several years. Was always a good experience at a very good fare.

There was a mixup about the reservation and because the person at the check in desk did not speak English, it was a long procedure to try to straighten it out and check in.

Looked for a reasonable priced hotel for a family stay in Haifa during the international film festival.
We are an Israeli family of 5 (3 teenage kids). The hotel was a perfect solution at a third of the price of anything else in the area. The location was wonderful and the benefit beats the price 10 fold.

The hotel was very sad and depressing. It needs a lot of work - structural and cleaning. I would not stay there again.

The hotel is very nice and situated in a lovely neighborhood with a large mall nearby that had Kosher restaurants. The room size was fine with good space for storage and very clean. The breakfast was served in a very nice, large room with a variety of choices. The manager was friendly and helpful. I feel it is a great bargain. It also had easy access to other parts of Haifa that were of interest. I would stay there again.

The hotel is located on the top of a high hill in a residential area. Everything from there is downhill. (Meaning everything to there is uphill!) There is a very small convenience store two blocks away, and a fruit stand another block away. A fair-size convenience store is near the fruit stand. A restaurant is downhill near the sport arena. In its day this hotel was probably a lovely place. The outside grounds, however, have not been well maintained. There were patios and verandahs for visits and gatherings. There was a hot tub that was not hot and from which the algae had not been cleaned. The management consisted of a couple with children. It took a few days for the couple to warm up to us and be friendly, but after our efforts to show interest in them, then they became more friendly.

Great bang for the buck. Was in Haifa and did not want to spend big bucks for lodging. Breakfast was outstanding and the setting on the terrace was mesmerizing. Friendly front desk.

Very nice stay of two days. We traveled to Nazareth, Tiberias, & Megiddo. Breakfast was very good and staff ready to help.

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel. Mainly for the price and proximity to the tunnels. The rooms are not that clean. The hotel itself looks like it had better days. This time we had a large room with 4 beds. The bathroom came with a tub but no enclosure around the shower and no venting. There was a tiny window that didnt help so every time we showered everything got soaked. The breakfast was just OK... same thing everyday. Instant coffee only. No fried eggs. Looked like they were pulling the same salad dishes every day. When we were there 5 months ago the breakfast wa a bit better.

We had to leave the hotel upon arrival as the condition of the rooms were so bad that we were sure if we stayed a little longer we will get sick .The towels were all thrown in the bath tub .Huge stains on the unwashed sheets .The carpet s were ripped ,stained and full of dust and lint .windows were kept open but the rooms were smelling very bad and the room was very cold and chilly .The only person behind the desk did not speak English even one word so we could not communicate at all .this room is not only not three star it has to be closed and it has health risks if any one stays there .We left the hotel upon arrival at 3 o'clock in the morning .and this was a bad start to our dream vacation .We must get refund .

This hotel is wonderfully placed at the top of Haifa. Whilst it is accesible from a short taxi ride from the centre, we prefered either hiking up the 700 steps to the top of the city (we did this once and it was enough!) or the 7 stop underground that Haifa offers. The underground itself is an incredible experience, the trains and platforms are based on a downwards staircase!
The breakfast is exquisite.
The aircon was perfect.
Only issue I found - which I also found at the upper tier Ceaser hotel in Tiberias, is that the room did not have a double bed, it had two singles pushed together. Perhaps this is something that can be requested?

Do not be fooled by the great advertising done by this hotel. after a long journey to the top of a hill in the middle of Haifa, we found an OLD hotel that is close to nothing, with little to no service. Our first room had so many problems from broken shower head to the air-conditioner stopping in the middle of the night that we were given another room on the top floor. this however was just out of range for the wireless internet router, so the upgrade in bathrooms was offset by the need for me to go to the lobby to get on the internet. The best example that we had for this hotel experience, is when the towel i was drying off with after my shower, ripped in a place that was almost worn through. This Hotel was probably very nice, a long, long time ago.
