Camp Ripan is a treat! Great staff, lovely location, although the neighborhood is undergoing a bit of a transition. The breakfast buffet here is the best I've ever seen, anywhere - absolutely amazing. Also the beer selection is fantastic.

We continuously stayed at this hotel in total four days. It was very very good and memorable experience for us. We appreciated all staffs for kindness and good service. We could saw Aurora or northern right from hotel location in tow days out of total four stays !!

We saw Aurora or northern light from this hotel. They have friendly and well trained staffs. Hotel lodge are nice and neat and enough space for family up to four persons. Their aurora spa is wonderful and must-try. The hotel provides a lot of entertainment tour options with kind support by receptionists. This hotel is located at safe and sound area but supermarkets are located within walking distance. You can reach city center and airport by taxi easily. But you must book a taxi well in advance for return flight due to limited availability as kiruna airport has few departures per day.

We are happy with the distance between airport & hotel, the Aurora Spa is a must go. The response rate is good whenever I have inquiry via Expedia chat box. The bed and one of the chairs have kind of dirt marks & toilet had stained when we arrived. Hope it’s just single case. The choices of restaurant are limited but we can understand as it’s not a big city.

The top place to stay in Kiruna. The hotel offers a great range of cabin types and activities. We spent three wonderful nights there and were well looked after throughout our stay. The main hotel building is a short walk from the chalets and in there you can find the reception (open between 7am-11pm) , the tour desk, the gift and clothes shops, the bar and the restaurant. The Aurora Spa is in a separate building and a special rate is on offer for guests staying at Camp Ripan. We booked a 2-hour session in the second night and it was wonderful sitting outside in a hot spa under the cold and starry sky with each other. Probably the coolest (or coldest) thing that we have ever done in life. Situated at the edge of Kiruna, Camp Ripan allows easy escape to the countryside and provides some and quiet spots for Northern Lights chasing without going too far. The site is about 10 minutes walk from the nearest airport shuttle stop (OK-Hall). The Kiruna Church and the main bus station are also less than 30 minutes on foot. Further afield, the new city centre where the Scandic Kiruna hotel and the Town Hall are, can be visited easily using the local buses.

We stayed here near winter solstice with the hopes of seeing the Northern Lights and were able to see them on a dog sled tour. Staff there is very friendly and very well organized.

Hotel was good, warm. Cottages were enough big with all utilities except telephone. You cannot contact reception from room. Food was good. But there is only one taxi company in Kiruna and Hotel does not have any drop facility. So you should book your drop in advance with Taxi company else it is really difficult situation, Bus service in Kiruna is not great and very less frequency. I visited with my daughter to Kiruna we had great time in Kiruna. But we could not find taxi /Bus while going . We were about to miss our train.

Very disappointed with pretty much everything except the SPA which is a true gem. Service and friendliness of staff is beyond bad and despite being requested to book what time we woukd have breakfast, it was filled with empty pans and plates. Had run out of pancakes, scrambled eggs and bread and refused to refill despite us being there on the booked time and some 20 mins before breakfast closed. Arrogant staff when i asked if there was more scambled eggs (there was a full pan of it with plastics over it behind the counter) and was told they close soon. I would give this place a miss and just use the SPA as a separate activity. Until staff is motivated to treat customers kindly i dont see why one should spend money there.

Wow. We had an amazing stay. The room/cabin was really cozy, heated floors made all the difference getting out of the shower. The trailhead to Midnight Sun was right outside our door. Restaurant served excellent dishes with very friendly staff. Lastly, the spa. It was incredible, there are 2 sessions spanning 2 hours. You will want the full 2. Various hot and cold sections with multiple pools and do-it-yourself treatments made the experience incredible. Don't miss out on this. By the way, we paid the same price for 1 night in the dorm like hostel at Turistation - huge upgrade. Recommend 10/10.

It’s situated in a quiet area of Kiruna. Camp Ripan has good facilities as well for having a meal/diner and drink. Because the city centre is being moved about 3km east there’re not many other opportunities to eat/drink nearby.

We had a nice stay with a clean chalet with enough space for the 4 of us and our dog. There is a nice playground for children. Breakfast was good with even some vegan options. Unfortunately the welness facilities (sauna/ pool) were outrageously high priced.

Loved the spa and dinner, ability to rent ski equipment! Cozy cabin. I really wish they offered a shuttle to and from the train station, or gave guests a more intentional heads up about the limited availability of taxis. It was really stressful to get to our train on time afterwards when the only taxi company in town was fully booked. Tip to future travelers - either book a taxi far ahead of time, or find out the bus schedule and plan to walk to the bus station in time to take the shuttle from there.

It is a nice hotel, with a very nice spa that I would recommend using while you are there. We also had an excellent dinner at their restaurant, and the waitress provided outstanding service (thank you Eleni!). The only thing we did not like was that our room was not given to us on time, however the delay was only 5 minutes from check in time (but the check-in time 16:00 is already later than most hotels).

We loved our stay at Camp Ripan. The cabin was warm and roomy with all the amenities. We like the upstairs lobby area for games and rest. We loved the Lobby Soup! The restaurant is pricey, but excellent quality and service. The Aurora Spa was a special experience. Thank you to Reservation Manager Fia for her special service!!
