Wonderful, helpful, friendly staff. Amazingly convenient location close to anywhere you would want to go. The facilities are extremely limited, but the staff go all out to make up for it. Entrance is confusing; reception is on the third floor above an unassuming sandwich shop. There are no staff on site after 10 PM.

Excellent friendly service, comfortable room. Nice breakfast service and attentative staff. However, there is not much cool air coming from inner rooms despite windows and fan. I would stay again but in a different room.

Location was excellent. Room service breakfast was generous. Staff was courteous and very helpful. Although facility is a bit outdated, it’s understandable due to the age of the building. Lobby/office is on the 3rd floor. It’s not favorable if guests have multiple luggages since elevator is a bit tight and will have few floor stops during check-in and check-out (i.e. street level, lobby/office, actual room-floor location).

The property was in a wonderful location for walking around Bern. The room was all we needed for a night in the city. The included breakfast was a nice way to start the day. Staff were friendly and helpful and the transit pass for within Geneva worked flawlessly.

This was quite possibly the worst bed I’ve slept on in a hotel. It was as thin and uncomfortable and I could feel the metal springs pressing against my back. I will give credit to the front desk attendant, who was friendly and very helpful with restaurant recommendations. But unfortunately I would not stay here again or recommend it.

Nice hotel in heart of Geneva. The rooms are functional and quite large, beds comfy. Our rooms bathroom was tiny and a could use some renovation, but was still ok. The breakfast we got into a room was tasty. The hotel also sent the free public transportation cards to email few days before which was very nice.

Short stop over in Geneva. Location was excellent for arriving by bus from Annecy. Really nice surprise touch to have breakfast delivered to the room in the morning. Great location for both the train & bus stations and for seeing the sights.

Being in the center of the city, this location allowed us to be able to visit Geneva. We did not used the free transportation passes offered by this hotel because we were only for a night but we will if we come back. The staff was wonderful.

It was a basic room but did the job. The TV worked well and the breakfast delivered to the room was very good. We arrived during a heatwave(37 degrees) and the room is not equipped to deal with it properly - fans are provided but it still gets unbearably hot. Great location with being located right in the middle of the shopping, dining and riverside areas as well as the bus station for tours. The lady on arrival was extremely helpful and really welcoming!

It was definitely a value for money stay as they served breakfast to our family room as the price of the hotel is not that expensive. Definitely suitable for travellers who are opting for a cheap stay in Geneva. Location wise, it was close to the lake in Geneva and the old town which was really convenient. Although we had to walk past a restaurant in order to get into the narrow hotel entrance and take a cramped elevator to the third floor to check in, and the bathroom was cramped, the delivery of a full breakfast with croissants, fresh fruits and hot chocolate definitely helped our whole experience in the hotel to be much better.

Location and staff were great, but this is more like a 1-star hotel. Rooms are serviceable but veeeerry basic. We were only here for one night because I had to catch an early train, but I would have been disappointed if I had chosen it as a home base for several days in Geneva. It was quite loud outside at night as well.

Close to train station, old style hotel. A bit of a small room for our family of 4, but fine for one night. It was hot while we were there and they provided a fan for the room, but there is a lot of street noise.

Good location between the train station and the water. Lots of small restaurant around for dinner. The hotel seems very small with only few rooms and is located in an old house which might make room fittings a bit complicated but also gives a bit of charme. The breakfast was brought to the room at an agreed time, only downside was that the only table was the desk so we couldnt eat comfortably together, rather one at a time or taking the coffee to the bed.

Location was somewhat disruptive being outside a bus station. The rooms were large, but in desparate need of a revamp. The safe in the room did not work and the lift broke down whilst we were staying on the 5th Floor.

Perfect and affordable no frills place to stay for work. Near a central train station makes it easy to get around, although you can walk pretty much anywhere. The room was nice and clean, staff friendly and helpful, and breakfast was brought to the room every morning. The mattress is very firm, so be prepared fi you are use to sleeping on a soft bed.

The hotel is centrally located within walking distance from the train station. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. She provided us with a kettle and made arrangement for breakfast to be delivered early. She also provided us with a parking coupon for our rental car. The room was warm and the breakfast was awesome. Very disappointed with our stay. Friendly reception but overall presentation of lobby area and bedrooms is very poor. The room was very warm but outside noise too loud to leave a window open and only a fan is provided which even on the lowest power setting sounds like a jet plane about to take off. The beds were awful. You can feel every spring in the mattress and the pillow was as flat as a pancake. There was a fridge in the room which made a noise like someone drilling every 5 minutes. There was a TV and free wi-if although the latter was intermittent. Trying to charge phones and iPads was a challenge as there was one spare socket above the light switch by the door so we had to unplug the bedroom lights and because we had uk plug adaptors only one plug would fit. The decor was tired looking and although not dirty it wasn’t spotless and we found a previous guests sock under one of the beds. We paid 112 euros for each room and it wasn’t worth that amount. I’d say 60-70 would be more appropriate. Only redeeming feature is being central and close to the station but we had previously stayed at the Astoria for a similar amount and the difference in quality was huge. I wouldn’t recommend staying at Torhotel unless you are desperate.

We were unpleasantly surprised based on the positive reviews that we had read before our stay. The room amenities were sparse, the beds and pillows were uncomfortable, there was no service/staff between 11 pm and 7 am, and the parking was much further away than advertised. When we went to get our car from the parking garage, the discounted voucher from the hotel did not work and we had to pay 100 euro for two days. While the hotel did provide a basic breakfast for 15 euro a person, this was too expensive for children who don’t eat much. The coffee stand in the lobby didn’t have much, the restaurant closest to the hotel didn’t open until 7 pm, and there weren’t many food options within 2 blocks of the hotel. Finally, bright sunlight and loud construction noise woke us up at 7 am each morning during our stay. We definitely paid too much for this hotel and don’t recommend it.
