This was a wonderful property, with the kindest owners! They were so patient with us and our very limited abilities in Italian. They called taxis for us, provided a free shuttle to Split Mountain and the beach, and helped us get back to the train station when we departed. The rooms were very nice, and it was a nice break from Rome for a few days to get to the ocean. Very highly recommended!

From the friendly desk staff to the beautiful colors of the bedroom to the kind and attentive breakfast staff, this hotel was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay here and will definitely return.

Again a splendid stay. Everything including a room with a wee balcony to view the beautiful alley lights. Comfort, cleanliness and gracious service, breakfast and parking access,... A block from the sea.
Honestly, such great value

A cosy, welcoming, price worthy hotel. Staff was just lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our room as well as the breakfast. It is situated a walk away from the center and has plenty of cafés and restaurants around. Would strongly recommend this wonderful hotel and stay there anytime again!

A great hotel, we originally scheduled just one night but then decided on two. It’s in a great location and has free parking. The hotel staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. The town was a pleasant surprise.

Lovely small friendly B and B, spotlessly clean, good choice of breakfast taken on rooftop with great views. Would highly recommend

This is a great little B&B. Perfect location, you can walk the town & to the beach & lots of restaurants. Nice breakfast on the roof with a beautiful view. Would stay here again. I highly recommend it.

Lovely place, but did not have a quiet night’s sleep. If you’re on the lower floor and your room is near the main stairs then it’s very loud when other guests drag their bags down the stairs at 5am or come in after their night out at 1am

Drove from Rome to the hotel. Parked in the car park off the main road. A bit of a drive around to find a spot. Only park in the blue bays. I put one hour on the meter 2 euros. Then a 1 minute walk to the hotel and the reception guy got out a 24 hour card for 15 euros which allows you to park anywhere in town. So helpful. The hotel is beautiful with lots of character but modern and spotlessly clean. First impressions last and i want to return very soon. The hotel couldnt be more personable ,helpful and very attentive in the most genuine way. 5 star service and better! Gaeta is a real hidden gem a short walk in to the old town along the sea front is beautiful. Nice restaurants bars and very safe and relaxing. A really nice town and it has a wonderful atmosphere. Perfection in every department. We didnt want to leave and will be back for more than one night.

Location was perfect and the rooftop terrace for breakfast awesome!

Superb small hotel in a delightful old part of Gaeta, around the fishing port, with narrow streets and bags of charm. It’s a 20-30 mins walks to the old city and 20 mins walk to the beach. There is great shopping on Via Independenza and some lovely restaurants too.
Luigi made us very welcome and explained everything we needed to know. Breakfast on the rooftop was great. The room was fine - spacious, clean, simply and tastefully furnished, and with effective aircon to get us through the heatwave.
We stayed four days: time for beach, a boat trip and some sumptuous old churches. Gaeta is an inexpensive, Italian family holiday place, pretty and relaxing. Il Quartuccio is the perfect place to stay while discovering it.

Really enjoyed staying here for a week. Easy to find, close to all the shops, restaurants and a little walk to the beach. Bus stop close by too. Staff were amazing and very friendly. Breakfast was good but could do with changing it up every so often as it gets boring after a few days. Bed was very comfy and air con was great. The only negative comments I have is the hair dryer in my room didnt work and we were not left toilet roll so I had to go and buy some as reception closes at 9. I would 100% recommend to anyone and I will be returning again next year.

Perfect place i Gaeta. The room was great and the service aswell. Close to the old parts of Gaeta, in cozy alleys. They have a fantastic terrass with a view over the ocean and old town that u can use whenever u want. Good breakfast.

Every thing was great. All staff were very friendly and most helpful. The breakfast offered lots of choice. Rooms make a good use of space and offer modern comforts including AC that is quiet. The rooftop terrace is beautiful and accessible to guests at all times. The complimentary week-day beach access with parasol was an unexpected bonus. The location is central in the town yet quite quiet. I would most definitely stay there again.

Loved our stay. Right in local neighborhood. Alley ways with shops. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Loved our breakfast on the terrace. Plenty to see and shopping.Great walking area.Took a while to find hotel as it is in behind the main street!

Very nice hotel, great staff, in an interesting neighborhood with good restaurants. Our room was pretty (though unfortunately too small to fit two chairs) and the bathroom was beautiful, with a great shower. Luigi was very helpful with good recommendations, and even lent us a kettle for making tea. Breakfasts were abundant, with cappuccino, good pastries and fresh fruit. We would definitely go back!

I loved this hotel. Loved the quaint looks of the hotel, loved my room, loved the location, in the historic district with the daily life & of people of Gaeta all around you. Watch the sunrise over the Marina and set over the beach. Approx 15 minute walk to everywhere you want to go, a little longer to the Splitin tge Mountain, but even that is very doable. My favorite hotels.com stay so far.Thanx, Luigi, you run a great hotel, with a bed & breakfast feel to it.p.s. liked the breakfast too, alittle more to offer than most hotels in Italy Ive stayed at :)walk to almost all the

Our stay included a lovely breakfast each morning, an elevator for our weary legs and local shops perfect for items for our Punic lunches.

We spent 9 nights in this small personal bed and breakfast in Gaeta. The location allowed quick access to public transportation, many small family run shops located on the same street and a short walk to the beach. The receptionist spoke English and of course Italian. The B&B provides free access to a very nice beach club which provides an umbrella, 2 lounge chairs, and an upright chair - all for free. Since the beaches in Gaeta are outstanding we took advantage of this benefit many times. The breakfast is provided buffet style on their roof top terrace (weather permitting) that provides a beautiful view of Gaeta and the bay. Cappuccino, tea, juice, cereal, pastries, eggs, meat, cheese, fruits etc. are all available. We never missed breakfast. It was great to have air conditioning all the time to keep us cool especially at night for sleeping. (Some Italian hotels shut their air conditioning down at 1AM)Wifi is free but had occasional slow periods - usually at times when most people would be likely to use it.The hotel is very clean and well maintained and the operating personnel are all very pleasant and accommodating. This is the third time we have stayed at Il Quartuccio and we expect to return the next time we are in Italy.

We booked Il Quartuccio at the last minute for a single night in Gaeta while we were touring part of the country. We chose this place based on reviews alone and it definitely lived up to its stellar feedback. Beautiful and spacious rooms, great location to the marina with many good restaurants. The manager greeted us warmly at check in and ensured we were comfortable and had all we needed. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful- with a wide assortment of options, fantastic cappuccinos, and a beautiful view of the water. It is a shame we were only there for one night.
