I had stayed at another Ibis Hotel (Porto Gaia, Portugal) earlier this year and I had an excellent experience. Unfortunately, Ibis Oviedo was NOT the same.This was a 4-night stay (original reservation got split into 3 nights, then 1 night) while I worked on a project in the area.My overall experience was terrible... ending with a room change because ants infested my room. And while I am never quick to write poor reviews, I have to honestly say that this was one of the worst experiences of my many years staying in hotels.The staff overall is simply not customer friendly. Their attitude in conversation is condescending and rude, making it a very unprofessional experience. There was one service staff woman at the front desk area on Friday morning who was kind and helpful. Another younger woman (Itziar) was simply mean and rude when asked for help about a difficult situation.My first day when I checked in a bathroom light was not working. I reported it, and was told the next day that it could not be fixed. I was ok with that since there was still one working light and I didnt have the time to do a room change.Then one morning I woke up and my room was infested with ants. It ruined food I had bought and got into my clothes and other things. Obviously I reported it, showing the service lady my photos and 2 videos.After a room change, I completely lost my WiFi service too. Reported it, but it was not fixed either. Location is also very poor.

Bit away from the centre.food overpriced for portions you receive but taste ok

2 days for only 40 Euro the night. Rooms are big and also bathroom with spacious shower. Comfortable bed and practical arranged. Location is good near bus and train stations and only 10 min walk from Calle Uria, main shopping street. We booked without breakfast but had it the last morning. It is really good! You get for only 8 euros quality local products. Juice is not made of powder and they have also fresh fruit.

Good stay, Nice hotel and friendly staff. Great on site parking. Immediate area a little rough and a fair walk of 20mins or so to the town centre.

It is what it is. Very reasonably priced. The smoke from the smoking rooms permeates the air and found its way into our non smoking rooms bathrooms.

Considering we didn't speak any Spanish the staff were really helpful. recommended a great restaurant to eat at on the Gascova strip, Tierra Astur. Blackout blinds were appreciated and a beautiful view of the mountains as a back drop.

We stayed in this hotel in 2014 and found it very convenient. Its a little further from the centre than other hotels but well within walking distance and easily accessible from main roads. It has ample underground parking for a small fee or free parking on adjacent wasteland. The hotel is modern and clean and the rooms meet all your basic needs. We had found the breakfast disappointing previously so we went elsewhere. Importantly for us it is a pet friendly hotel where dogs are welcomed and allowed to walk in the public areas and sit on the terrace. Finally the low price, excellent value for money. Would definitely return if travelling nearby.

I stayed here for 3 nights as it is close to the ferry at Gijon, the staff were the friendliest and most helpful of all the hotels I stayed in during a 20 day holiday touring on my motorcycle in Spain and Morocco.
