Amazing location, stunning views and a quiet but peaceful place to stay. Great service from staff and would highly recommend

Small family hotel right at the water with view to Bellagio, close to the ferry service and several restaurants.
Garden with pool and solarium - all well kept and with beatiful views up the hill behind the hotel, where no traffic can be heard.
The service is impeccable and we would happily recommend this place and come back ourselves.

Beautiful days in La Mirabela.

Very nice people at the front desk. However, after check-out, we were told that we could park in their lot for free while we spent the afternoon in Bellagio. We came back to Bellagio and they decided to change their policy by saying we had parked for too long (total time spent in Bellagio were 7 hours, including transport time). They decided, without my consent, to charge my credit card for $24.

Small and nice located hotel - good service clean well equipped rooms. Easy parking facilities on site. Nice small pool area with a great view on the lake and the mountains. The breakfast was good, so all in all a recommendable choice for a long week or small vacation.

Great property, with underground car parking, pool, air-con etc.Well placed with an easy walk to reasonably priced restaurants, and a short walk to either the passenger ferry around the lake or the passenger/car ferry to Bellagio (well worth the visit, but expect a food price hike).Tip: Dont forget your Italian plug adaptors (rooms do not have normal European sockets).

Excellent service, great location on the lake, underground parking. However, I think that, like everything on lake Como, it is a bit overpriced for what you get. For that price I would expect better breakfast, better shower, light-blocking blinds and better toiletries. To be clear, none of these are bad, just you would expect better for the price.

Paolo, the owner/manager of this family run place was great-very helpful in every regard. The room was a nice size, I did look at the room facing the lake which was beautiful. I thought that the bed was too hard, and he put extra blankets underneath it to help soften it. The breakfast was delighted and he served it to the table. It was a great location near the middle of the lake right near the ferry & Villa Carlotta. we have friends staying here in June when I sure you can use the pool at the of the property.

This hotel is located in a great location which is within a short walk to a ferry to Bellagio. The room was comfortable in the bathroom was spacious. Paolo was charming, helpful and kind. The grounds were well-maintained and offered great views of Bellagio and other towns across the lake. Breakfast was lovely as we sat in a room of windows with great views of surrounding mountains. I highly recommend this hotel and WILL come back to stay again

The host was very nice and helpful. It’s a small villa, it has a feeling of being in someone’s house.

Our 3 night stay was a delight. Everything we could have wished for in a small well-run hotel with its own pool overlooking Lake Como.

Amazing! Especially for the price, given the area. We had a phenomenal view of the lake, as did all the main areas of the hotel. Very unique Italian furniture.

We booked a lake-view room at Villa La Mirabella as part of a driving holiday through four European countries. It was the best hotel we stayed in during the trip. Lovely spacious lake-view room with air-conditioning & balcony. We really enjoyed the swimming pool after a warm day's sightseeing. Lovely surroundings, good breakfast and welcoming management / staff. Free parking as well!

It was perfect with the exception of the bed. We had a lovely time and our host was exceptional! The pool was immaculate... the breakfast was good. Quite a good value all things considered.

Located right next to the Como lake with a beautiful view! Host was very polite and attentive! Not a lot to do in the immediate area, but the ferry to Bellagio and Varenna is located 3 min walk from the hotel. The only downside is that this side of the Como lake has a road running (quite busy at times) right next to the lake.

We loved our stay with Paolo and his family at Villa Mirabella! They were so friendly and welcoming from the minute we walked in the door.
The Villa itself is beautiful, historic and grand with lovely common spaces, it truly feels like home.
We had a room to the back of the house with views across the garden. It was very quiet and peaceful. The view from the pool and the dining room is just breathtaking.
The Villa is very well located, a short walk to Villa Carlotta as well as within very close walking distance to two ferry stops as well as the sweet tourist train. It served as a perfect base for our 4 day trip to Lake Como. Would definitely recommend and would return.

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel has been loving restored and offers beautiful traditional Italian style rooms. The hotel is run by a local family who were very warm and friendly and really nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location with views across Lake Como, close to the ferry crossing to Bellagio and nearby restaurants.

Has old world charm but modern renovation. Does not have that old musty smel like another hotel I stayed at. Paolo was very profesional and helpfull in telling us about things to see or do. Highly recommend. Has coved parking garage with automatic lights and cameras for safety. Pool, and manicured garden. Centrally located and close to ferry boat pier.

I will never forget this hotel and the owners. It was the best of Italy for us. If we make it back to lake Como, we will not stay anywhere but here.

The cozy and quaint hotel was beautiful! Paolo, his brother, and the rest of the staff were wonderful. Paolo spoke perfect English and was very helpful in answering all of our questions. The breakfast provided was also delicious. The homemade jams should not be missed!! I would recommend tgis establishment to anyone traveling to the Lake Como area.

Paolo and his family provided us with the best stay. The villa has excellent location, comfortable facilities, the pool has a magnificent view to the lake and service is great! It has become our address in Lake Como. No need to look further!

We really can't say enough about the service provided by the proprietors of Villa La Mirabella. Their service was very friendly and always accommodating. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and offered a peaceful setting with a partial lake view balcony and another window facing the garden. Offered both great views and privacy. The bathroom was spacious and modern. Paolo and his family have preserved a beautiful lake villa while installing unobtrusive modern updates that do not detract from the hotel's charm. He was ready to answer any questions regarding the hotel, the surrounding area, and travel arrangements. After serving us a lovely (and very reasonably-priced!) dinner on the first night of our stay, he was nice enough to recommend restaurants and make dinner reservations for us for the remainder of our stay. The continental breakfast was also exceptional, definitely better than an average complimentary hotel breakfast. Outstanding accommodations and excellent service. We would definitely stay here again when returning to Lake Como.

The location is superb. The hotel is charming. The stuff is so kind. The view from the dining room is breathtaking. Will come there again.

Pros: Lovely property, close to villa carlotta estate, nice hosts, likely a lot cheaper than stuff across the lake, nice breakfast. Cons: west side of lake como has a lot of traffic and isnt pedestrian friendly.. confusing ferry system makes getting back home hard (hotel actually is serviced by 3 different ferry stops). I would probably look at other cities to stay in next time, as the savings and inconveniences isnt worth it.

Villa La Mirabella is in a great spot directly across the lake from Bellagio. Westayed for two nights in July 2013. It is well appointed with lovely grounds including an under cover carpark and swimming pool with views over the lake. It would be hard to beat for a quiet base to explore Lake Como. Breakfast was included but they did not handle gluten free requirement well. We had dinner right next door at Restaurant Rodrigo.
