It was so nice and quiet

Beautiful property located in la Zona 10, gated community making it feel safer. The room was very beautiful. Definitely recommend it, it is a little bit more pricier than other areas but itâs definitely worth it to feel safe in the city.

Guatemala is the worst country I have traveled.
The Hotel was contaminated, old, gay, 3rd World, and no warm water.

This was a quick night in a new city. Arriving late via taxi at almost midnight the gracious host came to carry our bags and help us to our rooms. Located on a gated zone the taxi driver understood all the gaurds questions and it was an easy entrance even though we were arriving so very late. I had sent an email to advise them of this but i thought we would be there by 9 not midnight so was a bit worried but everything was fine and gracious. The hotel has many many fine points.. art views quietness a wonderful breakfast is included birds books to trade. The hotel is colorfully decorated with much to please the visual senses. We were put up in a suite.. living room kitchen dining area 2 bedrooms a balcony.. we didnt have much time to use it but it sure would make a great base for a longer stay. The staff is wonderful calling a taxi and coming to our door to carry the luggage down. We have traveled much and that is a service every other hotel has missed and it was much appreciated.
In our short stay the only draw back is the odor from the shower drain.. if that could be addressed it would be 100percent perfect.
A quiet quiet night great internet.
Woke to birds singing. Water pressure is great with plenty of hot.
Towels sheets and bedding were ample and so clean.
Thank you for this little glimpse.

The double room turned out to be a huge suite, about 800 sq ft! It had its own ample living room with sofa and a dining table for 4, as well as a full kitchen, and a lovely balcony along the length of it. The only drawback to this place is that it is in a residential area and not really walkable to shops or sites -- I had to have friends pick me up or take taxis. On the other hand, it was super safe, being on a dead-end street in a gated area. The front desk person was very helpful when my pre-arranged shuttle bus forgot to pick me up. My little dog and I enjoyed our brief stay in the city.

The room I was given upon arrival was not what I spected, but the hotel sraff understood and put me in a different room and I did.not have anymore issues. Very happy after that. The hotel has rare birds flocking in the dining outdoor area. I love that part of the.hotel. I think is unique.

It's important for prospective guests to understand that this hotel is deep inside a gated development. The development itself is nice--middle- to upper-middle class by American standards--but it is strictly a bedroom community. There are no stores or other commercial establishments. Since it's in a private community, there are no taxis to hail (although the hotel was very good about getting me rides when I needed them). So long as you understand these limitations, the Eco Suites Uxlabil is a perfectly fine mid-grade hotel. It would be especially good for people who are visiting other people in the Oakland development or who have their own transportation. The room was clean and spacious, though the furniture was a strange hodgepodge and the bathroom fixtures were pretty rustic. Lots of hot water in the shower, no hot water in the sink. There's no air conditioning, but I was very comfortable during my mid-February stay. WiFi was good and there was a kitchenette where, if I'd stayed longer, I could have fixed my own meals. The staff is very accommodating at arranging transportation, giving advice, and having coffee and a breakfast snack ready and waiting every morning. So long as you're not expecting an urban-commercial environment or don't mind getting a taxi to one, you won't be disappointed. The hotel may also appeal to security-conscious travelers precisely for this reason.

One of the best looking places. My husband was very happy with the way everything was.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating, and stored our luggage while we visited the Uxlabil facilities in Antigua and Lago Atitlan.

We checked into the hotel, which was beautifully decorated with local textiles, and immediately felt like we were part of their family. Everyone made us feel so welcome. The next day we called the front desk because our hot water was not working in the shower. Within 5 minutes the guy was at our door. He could not get it fixed right away so he let us into the room next door to shower. Then as we were about to head out and explore we were offered a free room upgrade because of the situation. This room was even more beautiful than the first one! It was huge! Two private balconies, 3 bedrooms, huge living room, dining room and kitchen. 2 flat screen tvs. An oven with a stove. We also forgot to pack salt (too cook with) and they gave us some right away. There is a reason they have 3 hotels in the area. Because they are wonderful at what they do! My next trip to Guatemala I will definitely be staying here again! I was sad to leave, but will definitely be back! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Such nice people and staff. Very cute apartment type hotel as well. I only stayed one night. The bed was very hard and I woke up in pain. It would not be fair if I did not say this, but other than that it was great. There is also no elevator just so you know. But they do accept pets and that was wonderful. Great value in a safe area.

Horrible. Dirty couches, the musty smell the shower floods, the broken tv control ,the tiny space for the toilet i had to look to the side to be able to use it and also the complicated access to find the hotel not a sign any where. After looking at the room i tried to cancel my reservation but the person in the reception was no help i tried to cancel with expedia but there was no body at hotel that speak inglish at that time so i gat stock in the hotel, i will never go back to that hotel .

We arrived in September 26th 2017 and was earlier then expected. The staff checked us in and was able to find a room for the family who came from HueHue Tenango which is 6hrs from the city . The view is beautiful and we also extended our stay another week.

4 nights @ 45$ close to the up scale area ( Zona 10) is almost impossible in Guatemala City. But this hotel did it in style. Safe, cute, and with excellent service.

Great place to get away from the downtown Hotels, you can hear the crickets late in the evening. Maybe convert one of the lower rooms into a small gym/ treadmill, yoga mats? Great staff!! will comeback again.

The hotel and staff made us feel as if we were members of their family.
We felt very safe and secure in the botique hotel and within the Oakland compound. The apartment style units are like a personal sanctuary and perfect for a relaxing extended stay that feels like your own home.

Overall it was ok hotel, there was no hot water though which sucks.

I stayed at this hotel the first and last nights of a short trip to Guatemala. Like other Uxlabil hotels in Guatemala, where Iâve stayed on other trips, it is charming and decorated with traditional art and handcrafts throughout. The beds are comfortable and there are kitchenettes in every suite. I will certainly stay here again; however, three comments are required: (1) Anyone with mobility issues will have difficulty; the only suite that I know of that does not require using one or more flights of stairs is immediately off the lobby. Noise is not a problem because the bedrooms are at the back of this suite. (2) The hotel is located within a large, gated community and there are no restaurants within walking distance. The nearest eateries are in the Oakland Mall, a 5-6-minute drive away. (3) The hotel offers a âcontinental breakfastâ for $4.00; however, when I asked for a glass of milk and fruit there was no milk and the only fruit was applesâwhen melons, papaya, and pineapple are all in season (Nov.).

An oldish hotel in a gated community. Rooms were clean, quiet and spacious. Staff were friendly and efficient.

The hotel its pretty nice. Simple breakfast is offered. Bed was comfortable, and fans were provided in the room, which in Guatemala is a big plus. Neighborhood and surrounding area are beautiful. On the downside, two shifts cover the front desk, A younger woman and a middle age gentleman. The former is very customer service oriented. On the other hand, pray you dont face any situations while on the latter shift. With so many people in need of work in Guatemala is beyond me how he keeps his job. Due to his service and difficulty for taxis to find the hotel I wouldnt repeat. I shouldve paid the 20 extra dollars for a room in the Radisson.

The stay was not very pleasant the Hotel is very difficult to get to to say the least, the hotel it self is not very good, for a few dollars more you can stay a Hotel with a pool and lot more amenities that you get here.Overall a decent experience but way too expensive for what you get.

The room was uncomfortably warm. The service was initially unhelpful. I reserved two rooms but then said they only had one room. Then when we insisted, they found another room. The rooms were very far apart and carrying luggage up 4 flights of stairs was tiring. The hotel was difficult to find and was in a gated community which made it feel safe but not convenient to find or to venture out to eat. The rooms were huge and had full kitchen facilities. The price was good.
