Overall, the room was nice (we stayed in a spa suite) and it was quiet, though we had lots of noise from the street from our bathroom and we could hear the noise from the pool as well. The food selection on site was expensive and not tasty at all- we had three different meals there and it was not good. We did have a facial at the spa and that was lovely. Overall, the pool and the beach were lovely, but I don’t think I would book here again

Excellent overall just a gliche checking in with the rooms - they down graded us without telling us because there was construction going on

I enjoyed the hotel, the staff was wonderful and the people who arranged out tours were also wonderful. The neighborhood is a little rough and you’re kind of far away from Cebu city if that’s important to you. I liked the stay and would stay again. And the buffets were delicious.

All the staff were very attentive of their guests’ needs, very helpful, friendly, courteous & respectful. The breakfast buffet was amazing! A lot of good food, hot & cold choices, they were delicious. A variety of Filipino food & western food. There were 3 pools & if you have small kids, one of the pool will be perfect for them. They have a good size beach front. But you must wear beach/water shoes. Although they provide flip flops. The room that we stayed in had a good working AC, which kept us pretty comfortable since the weather in the Philippines is very warm & humid. Downside is the bathroom, it needs a little updating. But otherwise water pressure was good, it has hot & cold water. Beds were comfortable, clean & fresh smelling sheets. Room was clean. Had a good, working small refrigerator that kept our drinks cold and the tiny freezer was strong enough to make some ice using our bottled water. A microwave in the room would be nice & convenient, they didn’t have that, but an electric water kettle was available in the room.
There were plenty of available beach activities for a reasonably priced fees. There’s a walking distance grocery store, safe currency exchange, McDonald's & good local restaurants. The drawback of its location is going to Cebu City, it’s not far but there’s traffic. We used Grab to go to the city, or walked to the grocery store nearby. Over all, our 8 day stay in Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort was very good & enjoyable. Well satisfied customer!

Excellent breakfast buffet! The beach part has not enough water for swimming. Restaurant/cottages by the beach was great! Our room was also great , it was by the pool.

I love the rustic and Filipino cultural vibe at this resort. The all inclusive breakfast buffet options are enormous and taste great. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

Overall, the property is so old. The rooms has a urine like odor or musty. Barely warm shower water. Bathroom tiles are moldy all over and towels are old. Doors are flimsy and no window as you close it. You feel like you’re in a cave as you cannot see the outside. Food is good, wait staff are good. Service at the bar is very slow at the pool side.

I love this place! Very peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are large and very comfortable. I always feel at peace here. You wake up to the sounds of birds singing. Lots of trees and has a private beach. There are hammocks. Very clean. Highly recommend ♥️

Central location on the beach, try to get an upstairs ocean view room. Amazing buffets for Breakfast and dinner. Scuba dove with Dive Funatics dive shop, 10 min away (lots of dive shops right near there, so you can go there and book for next day).

Enjoyed our stay mostly because of their staff - all very warm and accommodating. No one can beat the Filipino hospitality. Resort was ok. Liked the pool more than the beach. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and so was the dinner buffet. We also enjoyed their Valentines special with the Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra serenading guests while having dinner by the beach. So romantic!

The bathrooms were leaking and need some tlc and update. For that alone, I would have given 2 or 3 rating. However, staff are beyond phenomenal! From dining staff- Chirly , there was also Ner and the maintenance and room service Papsy! They are the type of people who make the stay unforgettable! Hands down, the very best in Cebu!

Nice resort. Clean and friendly staff. Room's very comfortable. The food was VERY EXPENSIVE. 201 pesos for a coke. 30/40 pesos if bought from store in the area.
The food was orrpared well. Grouper was 600 pesos per 100 grams. So small grouoer cost over 3000 pesos. Way too much.

The staff were excellent. I had a bad back and the nurse came around in my room and checked on me. Area was okay accessible to all transport and lots of restaurants nearby. The downside of this hotel is their food pricing so expensive and only few choices. Breakfast is buffet and lots of selection. There are 3 restaurants the main restaurants is the Allegro near the reception and 2 by the seaside. We had a pleasant stay here and we will stay here again.

All of the staff working the front where great with the exception of the LGBT person, I don't know that person at all but by the way I was treated by them you would have thought I had do e something personal to them. Our room service lady was extremely exceptional. The cable box didn't work on the first day and the AC wasn't working properly on the last day. Food for the first 4 day was delivered cold then cool hfor three days than back to cool. We started eating off the property.

We shared a few hotels during our stay, and this one was great. The bathroom was massive, the porch was great to hang out on oh, they would even come around to take drink orders without even calling. The beach and pools for great. I will definitely staying here next time

It was a disappointing trip 😔 our room is amuma which is more expensive than regular room but we do not have a safetybox no whole body mirror, room is so outdated for being so pricey! Buffet is so expensive but the service is so poor we had to ask for coffee to 4 different waitresses before they gave us coffee. Our trip supposed to have a free breakfast but hotel said it was not included! Not coming back as theres a lot more beautiful resorts that is way cheaper than maribago bluewater!

At check in the staff told me, "To tell you the truth, we only have two rooms. I cannot give you four rooms." I argued with the staff and I said that I booked and paid for 4 rooms last March 15. Then he said that I have to wait 45 minutes before he could check us in, but the check in is 3 pm. The staff was rude, that I had to call someone- a friend- who works at this resort. This person called the staff and was instructed to check us in. Why do I have to call someone to make the check in process easier? The resort also did not want to honor my booking with Expedia, saying every time my guests and I go to breakfast that we do not have breakfast. The staff asked me to sing the bill for breakfast so they can bill Expedia. There is also no blue water at their beach but instead blackwater. We took a boat ride the next day and paid PHP9,000 to the boatman who took us to the a nearby island where the water is blue (about 20 minutes boat ride). The pool by the cottage is also dirty, with food being left, and a cat was scavenging for food. The patio tables are not being cleaned. The dining area smelled unpleasant (bathroom smell) probably because the venue for dining is close to the bathroom. For the price that I paid $140.41 per night, it is not worth the money and the stay.

Resort is nice. Pools, restaurant, rooms, check-in area, buildings are nice and have tropical feel.
Staff is not great. Check-in was slow, understaffed. Restaurant staff was poorly trained, sloppy, unprofessional.
