A perfectly adequate hotel very close to Kings Cross which suited my needs accordingly

It was the day before election day in the US and I had no way of printing and filling out my ballot to upload it until the host told me she could print it, wait for me to fill it out, use the scan app on her iPhone, and email the documents to me to help me out. This is above and beyond in hospitality services.

Rooms are tiny… not enough room to even have your bags out of the way. Showers were temperamental, clearly affected by other hotel users. Bath towels were more like hand towels!.. although these were changed daily. Walls are paper thin so can literally hear people even just talking normally through the walls. Did us for just a bed for the nights but wouldn’t stay there again.

very nice staff cute old fashion hotel very clean very close to the station

Did not stay here. Awaiting refund as hotels.com website put me in for wrong night

Room 4. The room walls were mouldy. Blind at doors was full of mould. The shower was mouldy. No window to open. Kettle too big for sink to allow filling. Refilled bottle of water left by hotel but was in doubt about using because of the mouldy walls and blind.

Bad, moldy smell in the room, and sewer smell in the bathroom. The receptionist mysteriously disappeared, and so did not turn off the loud fire alarm that persisted for over 15 minutes. While waiting, other guests confirmed that their rooms smelled bad too. The polite and apologetic receptionist the next morning was the only bright spot in our stay. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone!

Clean room, comfy bed, decent bathroom + shower (the shower head needs replacing).

The property is very tired and wasn't cheap. We were on the 3rd floor and had to go down a level to get the lift up which didn't go to our level so was hard with heavy cases. There is no sound proofing. We got zero sleep due to the air con unit sounding like a river was running through it and it was to hot when it was off. Also people were coming back throughout the night and early hours shouting and making noise and you can hear absolutely everything.
The shower power was amazing but leaking into the bathroom as no drainage. Great location though!

We were given a basement room that smelled like sewerage. No vent so we had to open window. Mosquito came in but would rather have air in. No AC vent either. I know London doesnt usually have ACs but a fan would have helped with circulating the bad air inside. I asked for a fan, front desk said they dont have.Even our clothes smelled bad. I would have not minded the tiny room and tiny bathroom if the air didnt smell like sewerage inside and outside the door of our room.
I could have spent more and chose a hotel close by. There are better hotels along the street.
3.4
Perfect for an overnight stay, a block from the train station
3.4
Okay. where do I start, add said private bathroom to begin with, it was all shared, it had a foul odour through the building and there was constantly weird noises in rooms surrounding.
3.4
Room was very hot and was noisy, made for a n uncomfortable night sleep
3.4
If you’re after a dirt cheap bed round the corner from St Pancras, you’ll get it here. But if it’s hot you’ll need the window open which if you’re in room 7 will need wedging with a ring binder, and at least the noise outside will be drowned out by the noise inside. Shower was like being dribbled on by a watering can.
Probably better than spending the night on the streets though, but next time I’ll probably just spend an all nighter in some London night clubs as I’d be likely to get more sleep there after a mass of vodka

Ok for the price

Room smelled strongly of disinfectant and/or air freshener. There were a few little flies in the room but the worst part was stepping on a slug (in my bare feet)

Was a bit nervous after reading previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised by the standard. It is a 2 star hotel and that is what you get - my room was clean and tidy, and the hotel is in a convenient location. The staff at the desk were really nice and friendly.
It is loud outside the window (it’s a busy area) and walls are thin…but I can’t complain about my stay, it was fine
3.4
This is a great location if you need a place to stay to catch an early Eurostar train. It's a 5 mins walk to St Pancras and King's Cross. There a lot of food options nearby as well.
The room is clean but small. The bathroom is also small as well, limited space for personal toiletries. Hand soap, shampoo, and body wash are provided in dispensers.
The staff at the front desk are friendly. There are 3 floors and no elevators.
3.4
We chose this hotel because it was close to St. Pancras station since we were catching an early Eurostar. The staff were so helpful when we arrived with numerous bags and luggage. They took them down to our room since there was no elevator.
The room was tiny but it actually made this more of an adventure.
The next morning the desk clerk again brought our luggage up to the front desk and down the front stairs to our Uber.

There needs to be a different classification for lodgings of this type, definitely not hotel.
3.4
The location was excellent.

Good enough for overnight stopover. Short walk from Kings Cross. Tight turn stairways may not be too easy on older guests staying on upper floors. Clean room, comfortable bed. Shower ok but somewhat cramped.
3.4
Very nice and helpful people

Mold on the wall. Staff though trying to accommodate had no idea how to accommodate. Could not wait to get out of that hotel. The bathroom sink is so tiny. Water damage in the wall had black mold. Worst room and hotel.
3.4
Poor standard

My room was clean but decor looked a bit tired to me. There is no lift, so it you are on an upper floor it's a bit of a climb. London hotel prices are high and in my view this hotel price is comparable with others nearby.

Was ok towels smelt of chip fat though also was really noisy 1st thing in the morning but was somewhere to sleep after attending a concert and close to kings cross wouldn't recommend if staying a few nights
3.4
We knew from the cheap price and 6.8/10 reviews score, it was going to be basic. We weren't looking for anything fancy, just a place to sleep after a concert nearby. But we were put out by what we were given. We had a triple room in the basement (room 2), which was fine in many ways, beds were comfy, ensuite, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, clothes hangars and a rail. Window, which wasn't going to have a nice view from a basement but it did let plenty of light into the room. The problem was the walls were full of mould. On the bedroom walls, inches away from the bed, so you didn't dare hang your feet out of the bed when it got warm (couldn't open the window because it was a sash window which opened parallel to the ground outside, didn't want any rodents etc getting in!), more mould in the ensuite, in the usual places where you expect a little, but also next to the bathroom mirror so it was directly in front of you whilst brushing your teeth! The majority of the walls in the room was covered in the plastic sheeting used in some shower cubicles nowadays, or as splashbacks, which at least could be wipeable, however it led us to wonder, was it there just to cover up more mould? One of the towels was dirty, which we took up to reception on our way out for the evening and asked for a clean one, but they didn't bring one. We couldn't wait to leave early the next morning, it just made the room feel dirty and we didn't feel comfortable in there or sleep well because of it.

Noisy hotel. Bed was comfortable enough. Shower was tiny and the towel too small. I killed several ants in the room. Informed staff and no apology or any effort to look into it. Strange tapping noise in the hallway all night kept me awake so I had to have music on to drown it out until I fell asleep.
3.4
Basic but a good location
3.4
The room located at LG/F, dark and smelly
3.4
The staff are very friendly, and the rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. The only negative thing is that the walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the other rooms and in the street.
3.4
Was a brilliant location for underground and sightseeing areas
3.4
Very tiny room. Carpet on stairs was dirty.
3.4
The hotel is within early convenience to get to work
3.4
The lady on reception was so lovely and friendly.
The room itself smelt very strongly of urine and when we opened the window to try to clear the air the smell only got worse from the drains that were below.
Walls must be paper thin as it was very noisy and we were woken up multiple times
3.4
Ideal for a stop over for Eurostar and sites.
3.4
Not the Ritz, but didn't pay for the Ritz!!!
Excellent position for transport.
Be aware; no lift
3.4
The hotel is a cash machine. You really don’t know what you get for the price. We got the smallest room in the basement. Luckily with one little window which we could open. Flies welcome us. The little flies that come out if the sewerage system. If you switch off the fragrancy diffuser you can smell the sewerage. By the way we clearly could hear people walking in the room above ours 😔
However, the street was calm. But I would spend a bit more for a better hotel/room.

Very nice and comfortable room
