the only good thing i could say for this property is the beautiful view it offers. its a far walk from the pier, and partially through sand since the pathway ends before getting to the resort. the room was very very dirty with bugs and lizards able to get inside easily due to cracks around the main door. after walking nearly 1km to reach the resort, we had to walk mostly uphill to our villa. the breakfast was extremely limited. the bed was uncomfortable and small. if you are willing to risk the quality of the villa/room for the quality of the view, this is the place!

It was nothing like you it was advertised on hotels.com. he was situation of showing one thing and giving us another thing we were very disappointed and really left the hotel

We arrived and were told the room we had booked had been given to someone else. We paid extra for a nicer room and to be told on the check in day after a whole day of travel it was not available was ridiculous. What’s worse is they were not upfront intially and we were stood waiting 20 minutes. They should have messaged us before hand to let us know. They stated that apparently Expedia does not pay them in advance so they gave the room away? They did put us in a different room which was semi decent and afterward staff were nice and gave us a nice fruit platter. I understand it may have been system issue but it was frustrating at time. Room was decent and breakfast was okay.

I loved the view, staff was very friendly and helpful, had a few issues with the room during check-in however staff was very quick to help solve any inconveniences. Would stay again.

We checked in early and received an upgraded room on the beach. Private beach and view was phenomenal! All staff was very courteous and the rooms were comfortable and very nice!

The property is on the side of a hill which is quite steep this property is not suitable for anyone who has mobility issues However it is close to town but with the feeling that it is in the jungle It is nice and quiet the reception is on the beach I loved the location it gave the best of both worlds I would stay here again

A super villa with good views. It is quite a walk from the pier and a bit hilly from reception to the villa itself.
Our villa was missing bottles of water.
We had also been looking forward to going in the pool, but we were not informed about the pool being closed until we arrived at check in.

Let me first start with that the view is spectacular but to get there and to your room is way to hard .. very steep and a massive climb.. the pool is closed due to maintenance so after a massive climb to your room there’s no way to cool down … bar is very limited as in there is 1 try of beer and the bar closes at 5pm .. no dinner service so you have to leave the property for food and the only way to food is a walk down through the sand and a 10 min walk .. I do not recommend unless your fine with not having any of this .. once again though view is beautiful.

Quiet location - 15 min walk to harbor area.
Comfortable room ( Grand Deluxe Villa SeaView )with great view 2nd level up.
Can walk to Love Beach, Viking beach, and Long Beach across hillside stepping stones.
Breakfast had a fair selection.
Staff helpfully.
Shuttle service to ferry.
BUT
NO SWIMMING POOL AS UNDER MAINTENANCE
- not informed until arrival
NO RESTAURANT FOR LUNCH OR DINNER
NO BBQ OR PICNIC AREA
SAND/BEACH ACCESS TO HOTEL ONLY
VERY HILLY SITE FOR OLDER LEGS
NO MINIBAR - fridge only, water supplied daily
NO SLIPPERS IN OUR ROOM.
PhiPhi is a wonderful beautiful Island so next time would stay elsewhere

Nice bungalow with balcony, bathroom could do with an upgrade. Location isn’t bad but it is quite far from the main pier and you have to walk along the sand for part of it and it is very dark at night time. Also a very steep walk up to the bungalows from main reception so not good for people with mobility issues. Apart from that it was all nice.

Beautiful hotel the only thing i would recommend is to update the beds.

At check in they could not find my Expedia reservation which was kind of scary. I had booked a garden view room in the premier section. I apparently was upgrade because I received an ocean view room right above the beach at the far end. It was a similar room but the view was really nice. The biggest complaint was that the property is very large and walking to my room from reception was 10-15 minutes alone down the up and down paths. And then to wk into town was another 20 mins so I got lots of steps in each day I was there! If you have mobility issues do not stay here.
The resort itself is kept up pretty well. The cleaning staff does a mediocre job in the room, having only half cleaned it most days, missing changing towels, or coffee, or tp etc. but not a huge deal.
The included breakfast was excellent
I did not use the pool as yes it does need tile repair. It appeared clean but the water seemed low in the pool and it didn’t really look appealing.
Now the biggest concern I read in reviews were the hot water, and cleanliness of sheets and towels etc.
I did not have any problems with the hot water in the unit. In fact it was so hot that I had to be careful as you could badly burn yourself - it will come out boiling hot. The bedsheets were perfectly white and clean and the towels were good quality and clean.
Overall, nice stay. Would I stay again? Location a bit far from town but definitely a beautiful location and needs some updates to pool and some things.

Was a very nice place with beanbags on the beach free to use during your stay. Breakfast had a decent selection. Staff was very friendly!

Liked overall but only gave 3 stars: their site says they take credit cards but in reality only for room. Everything else is cash only. including $1000 baht key deposit. Also, most bungalows are up steep incline. It was too much for me but they did put me in a lower room. Also, click on instructions on the hotel page and note that if you need a water taxi you have to reserve several days in advance. Otherwise you walk. No vehicles on the island. I found it on googe maps and walked. Not awful but was super hot and sweaty when I got there. Breakfast buffet avg to below avg. But they are generous with bottled water and have coffee pkts in your room. Nice location if you don't mind walking. A bit miffed when I checked out and they told me I had to wait while they inspected room.

The walk from the pier was pretty terrible but you could arrange when they are there to collect luggage (a few times a day but I missed them). The room I had was great. Super comfortable bed, big television, lovely balcony With stunning views and comfortable seats and loungers on the balcony. They also have a cute detail that is a an electric insect tennis bat to kill possible insects with ease. I did not see it he pool so can’t comment on this. Notes: it’s pretty out of the way and there is some climbing involved. I would not advise to stay here if you’re a bad walker.

Our room had a fmgreat view of the ocean. To walk to the hotel, you have to walk a little bit over the sandy beach. The hotel has transpiby boat to get your luggage to and from the pier. The staff were nice, and luckily our room did not have any mosquitoes. However yhe island is full of mosquitoes and the are sizeable monsters! We loved our stay at Bayview!

Lets say the only good thing about the hotel is the view.
A lot of mosquitos , the shower have rust , the bed is not comfortable and its very far from the center , you have to walk about 13 minutes till you get to the beggining of the center .
Reception does not have a phone , you have to whatsapp them and they dont response immediatly. And when you come back late to the room there is no light.

An old property and many areas are run down. It’s situated in a quiet corner of the island and has a nice little beach by the lobby and lounge area. Many rooms also have a nice beach view. The downside is that the property really need some renovation as many rooms and areas are falling apart. It was built almost 40 years ago and was once premiere hotel on Ko Phi Phi. But the years have worn it down. Unless you can get this hotel at a deep discount, it’s probably better to book another room elsewhere.

Very good

One thing that I want to point out is the poor communication skills of the hotel staff. Basic things are quite difficult to convey. I believe the management of the hotel should train its employees in basic English. The other thing is that this a wooded area and the population of mosquitoes is extremely high.

Very nice place with its own beach. Only problem was all the steps you had to climb to get to your room. Would go there again though.

The liked the location. You could walk to town one way and Long Beach the other and see all the resorts in the woods with little tree fort style open air accommodations. You do have to be in pretty good shape to walk up and down the hill to get to the lobby, restaurant or beach. There are also quite a few cats around and one walked right into our cabin and layed down for a while. We did the full day boat excursion with lots of snorkeling. It was well worth it!

Bayview “resort” has to be the worst accomodation I have ever stayed at and completely destroyed my time in Phi Phi Island. For someone who has backpacked around Europe and has stayed in some pretty dirty places before, I’ve never seen anything as bad as this before. The water coming out of the tap is brown and STINKS the entire room. I had to brush my teeth on the balcony and spit off the balcony in an effort to avoid the bathroom altogether. A shower was a no go zone. There are giant snakes and lizards roaming the facility, which is terrifying. The property is on an extremely steep hill and would be unbearable for someone who isn’t young and fit to get to and from their rooms. The breakfast buffet is located in a stinky area, which destroyed my appetite. Even if I felt up to eating, all that I could find that didn’t look gross was toast and butter. I ended up spending more money to buy a nice breakfast elsewhere. The location is far from the centre (approx 30 min walk) and you have to pass sewerage to get in and out of the centre, which is very smelly. The path to get to and from the centre does not feel safe to walk through at night. There are no taxi services to use to assist in the journey. The only positive of this place is that the aircon works well. But electricity doesn’t run in the room without the one keycard. The towels and sheets are all dirty with stains on them. You can not access the hotel from a pathway, you have to walk on the beach to get there.

The hotel rooms were very tatty and not as they were advertised on the pictures. The beach is beautiful though and you cannot miss going Phi Phi as it was my favourite island in Thailand. I would advise spending money on a different hotel though as I do not think this was worth the what we paid.

Great location away from the main town, about a 10 minute walk to all the bars from the main reception. Beach on site is very picturesque & nice and relaxing. Some of the rooms are a further 10 minute walk from reception, so be sure to ask to use their shuttle service for ease.

Beautiful deluxe sea view villas, we stayed in A105 and had an amazing view from our balcony. Bed was so comfortable and bathroom well appointed. Clean and lovely, wifi auperb in all areas also. Has two little coves which afford great snorkelling directly from tge beach. About a 10 min walk to the hustle and bustle.

In need of a huge overhall and staff training. After 6 weeks of travelling Thailand we found the staff here to be the most unfriendly, unhelpful and grumpy that we encountered on all our travels. Hospitality training is urgently needed!Whilst noone can deny what a great location thia place is in, sadly it is in need of huge maintenance to being back to any decent standard. Decor is old and tired, brown water comes from the taps, toilet didnt flush, cushions unwashed, mouldy sun recliners, ants in rooms, cleanliness poor... they even ran out of towels whilst we were there when i told reception there were no towels in our bathroom i was told they had run out!We had a delux room which was laughable, if the best rooms are this bad i dread to think what the others are like. The steps to rooms are a killer too in the extreme heat. The island itself is pure paradise and the location of the hotel is great, just a 5 min walk to the bars and restaurants yet out the way enough to be quiet.Really i would give the hotel just 1 star out of 5 yet i paid just over £500 for 3 nights on a paradise island so can i really complain?

The hotel was very unclean. The cleaning ladies were doing a horrible job when cleaning the rooms. They would leave the towels, covers and floor dirty. It was supposed to be a honeymoon trip and I was very disappointed. I booked 4 days but I stayed only 3 days because I couldn’t stand the hotel anymore.Would not recommend it at all!
