I arrived on 27 th for the ceck in at 1.30 pm ..hotels com sent me email that my ceck in was at 12 pm...
There was a blond guy really rude ..I have been misstreated by him without no sense or reason from the first seconds I came in ...he didn't want listen to me just he wanted speak ..and in really arrogant way told me : " you have to go out as your ceck in is at 2 pm " confusing me ...I said please I am not feeling well can I please stay in the reception welcome room waiting my ceck in at 2 pm?
He said : you have to pay if you want stay in to don't get cold ...
I went outside it was cold ..and I was already sick I needed to rest ...instead you sent me email my ceck in was at 12 am. Once in at 2 pm ..he started to create on me others problems : you have to go outside to withdraw 10 pound for the keys otherwise he shouted leave the hostel now ...I said ATM will let me withdraw a lots money and I will pay the fee ...please let go sleep I am not feeling well , I won't take the key with me. He said in aggressive way no ...I said you are misstreating Me..he started to touch my nationality : he wanted know where I come from..it is not his business. I felt too much negativity and tension in that hostel ..no one were smile ...the toilette really dirty ...I really I cried ...after long ..the girl tried to helpe to give me the key without leaving the deposit ..once he left ..probably she was scare about him

Cons: The kitchen closes at 10 or 11pm, they don’t even let you get anything out of the fridge after then. The housekeepers threw away my soap and shampoo, I left it in the shared bathroom that was only shared with one other (empty) room. The Wi-Fi dropped every 5 minutes. The hot water didn’t work one day of my 4 day stay. The shower was super rusty. They have super sheer curtains on the windows, had to put up a blanket and a towel to sleep in after 5am. The cost to rent a towel is 5zloty, I could’ve just bought one for that much.
Pros: it’s in a good area.

As mentioned in other reviews, rooms are very small and there's no space. Mattresses are very thin and worn and you will feel the metal underneath. Beds squak a lot and are very noisy all night. So it's impossible to have a good sleep here. The location is good. The man at the reception is angry and rude and does not make you feel welcome. The girl is nice.

The stay at La Guitarra was good. I travelled with 2 of my friends and stayed for 5 nights at the hotel in a 4 beds room without attached bathroom. Location is well connected to main attractions. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly. Staff is friendly. Hostel also offers a very good view of the Motlawa river. Our stay was as good as we expected within our budget.

There weren't linen on my bed when I arrived deep in the night and wifi credentials on the check didn't help to connect. Anyway, the overall impression was good, the staff is friendly and helpful and the location is just great.

The bed linens were clean and comfortable. However, being on the bottom bunk of a dormitory I could see some stains on the mattress above me. The breakfast selection is simple but good. The location is a bit of a walk from the central area, but 10-15 minutes is manageable and

Location is great, less than 15 mins leisure stroll next to the river, to the main square area, and to the main bus station. Each bed had a huge locker for use, which was great. Staff was helpful, especially when my delayed luggage was sent to the hostel, the attentive staff (didn't manage to get the name, but really tall male) remembered to keep it because I had mentioned something before leaving in the morning! Really thankful for such attention to details!

O NOT STAY HERE!! When I arrived I was buzzed in, at first the door wouldn’t open and was jammed, and the second time when I tried to open it the door slammed my finger and my finger- I now have a fracture and severe nerve damage that’s going to take months to recover from and possibly require surgery!! The first response I got when I entered crying in pain was “this happens a lot”. They don’t bother to fix it, or even put up a ‘caution’ sign!! This was/ is still a very painful injury and the owner refused to offer any medical assistance and wouldn’t even give me the WiFi info to contact someone!! And my booking was prepaid! This completely ruined my time in Poland and now I can’t write or use my right hand properly for at least a month. The owner is a terrible person. He showed no interest in helping, and acted irritated. When I asked to use the WiFi to contact family and get medical advice, he refused to give me the password until “check in” time which was 20 minutes away! He then left the front desk and refused to speak to me, leaving his employee alone to handle the situation. The employee was nice and more apologetic than the owner, but scared he would get fired if he helped me. What sort of business has these policies?! I’m not sure what local or international tort law is, but this is blatant negligence, and this business should not be in practice! I made the huge mistake of booking in advance and the owner (via phone) would not give the employee a straight answer

Hostel rules say that one is not allowed to stay in the hostel premises before or after stay without paying extra.
I was not allowed to check my e-mail before signing in. I could leave my bag in storage though.
Difficult to adjust the heating. Bed was wide and ok.

I booked for 140 zloty a double room with shared bathroom but the bathroom was for only 2 people . I have got a big room with 8 smelly bunk bed inside on the first floor, there was 3 shower and toilet together for all the guests. It was dirty and urine everywhere on the floor. Kind of disgusting :(.

The hotel inside is good, the room is clean and quiet. But when I come here, the nearby street and surroundings are full of drunk people and bars, it is really dangerous. Also, it is hard to find.

You have to pay 10 zty deposit for keycard and 5zty for a towel if you haven't got one. Mattress was pretty thin, just seemed sponge so you could meet your thumb and index finger if you squeezed it. Handy location for seeing main sites. Spacious common/breakfast room with good continental breakfast. Hot water at wash basins hit and miss.

There are better hostels in Gdańsk for the same or cheaper price... Only advantage is breakfast. I stayed here for 2 nights and then moved to another hostel - Cycle On , which was much better: better facilities, equipment, atmosphere....

Very understanding staff. I appreciate that a lot. The hostel is at the complete end of the road, so do not give up. It is 2 minutes to the Hilton, which is right on the board walk.
