Everything was good I can’t deny their towels are the whitest cleanest you will find but we stayed 3 nights the complementary breakfast was awful in a way that they served same meal every single morning not only that the breakfast area they only have 4-6 tables for a big crowd . So we had to take our plates and eat in the room on the 3rd morning didn’t even bother went to Timmie’s . Except organizational issues with the breakfast time it was ok overall

There was a young lady at reception that was really helpful and addressed my questions. She was very pleasant.

Best location in sylvan lake for the summer stays. So close to the lake, walkable, they rent out wagon if you need it. Free on site parking. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool (as we were at the lake most of the time, no fault of the hotel though). Breakfast was ok. Long wait for the waffle maker, could have been 30 seconds less cooked, and even though breakfast is from 7-10, if you get there 9, there’s no fresh fruit, yogurt or maple syrup left! The side facing the street was fairly noisey, but I don’t think much can be done from the hotel pov, except maybe request parking lot side ?

Front Desk staff were wonderful and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was awful because: 1) No syrup for the waffles. When this was brought to the kitchen staff’s attention they just said-“We’ll have to buy syrup at the store” as if this was “A get out jail free card” that made everything fine with no solution. 2) Worst tasting sausages I’ve ever eaten at a Best Western Plus. 3) Ran out bread for toast. Did not bring this to the attention of staff since I already knew from their last answer they simply didn’t care.

I love this little town it’s all beach, scooters everywhere for people You can walk or ride a scooter Lots of restaurants. Water rentals across the street. Motel was clean, comfy and awesome staff

The pool windows should be smoked to reduce the visibility to street traffic, a person in the pool is very exposed.

Best hotel in Sylvan. It’s close to the beach and lots of great shops and restaurants. Wish it had a hot tub and maybe some more spa facilities such as a sauna and or steam room

Staff did their best, but overall the hotel, and our room seemed run down. The pool was disgustingly cloudy, and the shower water was weird, almost slimy feeling - I don’t know if it’s necessarily the hotel’s fault as the town was on water conservation restrictions when we visited so maybe there was another factor? Still, def some maintenance issues - swollen baseboards in the bathroom, pink algae-like build-up in the grout of the shower, stuff like that.

We had a great time! Wonderful staff and clean accommodations. Great location. Beach right across the street. Wonderful complimentary breakfast. Would stay again.

Everything is with in walking distance .

My wife and I stayed for three days and two nights at the best Western hotel in Sylvan Lake on the weekend of August 8 nine and 10. We had a wonderful time. The staff was extremely courteous to us and even offered gluten-free options to us during the morning breakfast time we would not hesitate to return.

It was close to all the activities for the family. Parking was a little tight as some people park over the yellow line in the parking lot.

We loved it all very satisfied ❤️

Great location

This was family trip and you would think that front desk would have better customer skills. The 2 ladies working on August 4th in the afternoon were plain out rude non helpful/racist. We tried checking in at 310PM and we were confirmed that our room was ready. Mimd you check is 4PM. The lady with short hair who wears a black bag said if we checked in it’s an $30 for early check-in. This was 50 minutes early before a 4PM check-in. The $30 was not an issue. But in no hotel have I have ever been asked this and we travel lots and stay at hotels regularly. So, I said we will wait. A lady walks in after we were denied 50 mins early check-in and saw her walked with hotel keys in hand asking her if she was able to check in, she said yes. I went back inside the hotel and I saw that the same ladies at the front were also checking in other people. I was here before this lady and she told me that she was able to check in so why did you deny us from checking in and she’s like oh we can do early check-in if it’s after 3 PM if the rooms are ready. I told her we were here at 3:10 and we were clearly told that our room was ready and they even went to go check upstairs to see if it was ready and they came back to say yes but yet you wouldn’t let us check in, asking us to pay $30 on top of the stay. We also brought my daughters dog as well and we also paid for the pet fee and couple hours later we get a call to the room asking if we paid the pet fee. Worst experience ever!

The quietness of the hotel and the complimentary breakfast was excellent!

This hotel is conveniently located next to the lake and we were fortunate to be given a room on the top floor facing the lake. The hotel is showing its age and needs to be updated in order to justify the $200+/night room charge. Breakfast area seating was very limited and did not have adequate space for the hotel capacity. The serving area was very congested and did not allow for an efficient flow for guests putting food on their plates. Breakfast was acceptable but the quantity of certain items was limited and not available on certain days (yogurt, fruit, cream).

Room was nice. Bathroom not the cleanest and all the shower dispensers were empty. It was good value for the price and very quiet. Lots of kids if thats not your thing.

Really nice

I gave it a four because under new ownership they are not allowed to open the extra space for breakfasts so be prepared to eat in your room. Staff are fenomenal and the new convenience store by front desk is fantastic. Prices way better than anywhere else. Great towels if you forget, really like that you have to ask front desk for pool towels no more dripping in elevators.
