Welcoming pub with ample parking, clean, spacious rooms, and great food.

I recently stayed at the Falcon Hotel in Whittlesey and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. This charming hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, affordability, and warmth that’s hard to find elsewhere.
The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially on chilly evenings. Despite its budget-friendly rates, the hotel didn't compromise on quality. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the amenities were thoughtfully provided.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to go the extra mile to make guests feel at home. The hotel's location in the heart of Whittlesey made it convenient to explore the local area, with shops, pubs, and attractions just a short walk away.
If you’re looking for an affordable yet delightful place to stay in Whittlesey, the Falcon Hotel is an excellent choice. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit!

Whilst it was dated and needs bigger tvs and a good brush up, I really enjoyed my stay, great food, great beer, amazing breakfast, fantastic value for money.

Hotels.com should delist this establishment
Everything about this place is a rundown pub with totally uncared for rooms
A serious lack of investment means the rooms are no where near good enough to be advertised as hotel
The evening food was very poor I choose a simple burger and chips, this was also very disappointing with stale toasted bun and awful chips
This is more like a hostel
Breakfast was very poor standard the room was already set out to hold a meeting and there was no effort to cater for guests

The bed was small and uncomfortable. The pillows small. No shower; only a tub.The walls and tub base had holes and cuts. The only light in the room was a ceiling light with a lampshade. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel a bit rickety and old fashioned. Shower and toilet facilities a bit tight but at least the room had them. Good wholesome & plentyful.
Fabulous open Mike night with eclectic selection of musicians and music. Fabulous .😂
Jemma did great job of cleaning.

Super convenient no fuss good breakfast freshly cooked to order!

Req hires detailed repairs. Shouldn't of had to screw the bathroom door handle on upon arrival nor had to flush twice before use because someone else hadn't

Happy welcome, great breakfast and dinner

The hotel was in need of modernization and repairs
ie:—doors literally hanging off bathroom door wouldn’t close two holes the size of a tennis ball above bed missing banister on main stairs filthy corridor carpet.the whole place looks to be have been maintained by the worst diy person. Also a smell of stale/burnt cooking oil
The outside seating area was littered with cigarette butts and over growing weeds
The staff were very helpful and friendly with nothing being to much trouble even though they looked understaffed.

OK, so it's an older place. I was just after a decent kip for a couple of nights. I changed my allocated room on arrival - from one with a bath - to one with a shower...and although the shower worked fine, it wasn't the cleanest and the doors were hanging off (rollers missing) and I found difficult to close properly.
...
The bedroom light fitting was damaged (ceiling rose) so I couldn't turn the light on !...but I told them about it and they fixed it the next day.
...
BREKKY :
I was working at Perkins and usually on site between 6~6:30 in the mornings - so leaving the digs too early for the breakfast that I'd paid for - so I was kindly offered a "takeaway" bacon butty for 06:15 - which was a nice gesture... However, when I got to work and unpacked the foil - this is what I got (see photo !!)
...
Needless to say it's doubtful I'll stop again !!!

I come up to Peterborough once a year, first time staying here. Service was great, room was very clean and organised. Breakfast was spot on, always enough and very friendly staff. Staying for 3 nights was resonablly priced aswell. The only thing the other half mentioned was the church bell's that rang all night/day but other than that I would stay here again.

For the money it was rubbish. Light over mirror didnt work. No shampoo. ( take your own). noisy all night through church bells going practically every hour.pub audiance noise terrible .plus the room was on terrible location of building. Couldnt sleep a wink.was here from yorkshire on medical appointment, I would rate it 4th class. No breakfast menu I felt. we wont welcome. And were glad to say good bye when we hamded keys back at 8
00 .wouldnt be my choice of night stay again. (also miscarried) for me massive loss and most uncomfortable night ever experienced.

We were given a warm welcome and found the hosts friendly and chatty. We loved the character of the Falcon. It's old and rambling, with a quirky layout upstairs. Some parts are a little tired but you would expect that with an older property, and much of it has been freshly decorated. Our room was clean and comfortable. The neighbourhood is interesting and pleasant to walk around on the Heritage Trail.

£40 a night, ensuite and breakfast. An absolute bargain. Very friendly staff as well.

Building quirky. Needs to sort menu out. Specially breakfast being a non meat seemed to make it very difficult. Room clean and well decorated.

Not so good. Booked two rooms for a family weekend. Party on at the hotel. Very very noisy so didn’t manage to get to sleep until 12.30am. Twelve inch TV on the wall at the side of the bed. Not able to have hot drink in the room as kettle was full of black mould. Big hole in the window frame.
Bathroom sink in one of the rooms was dirty. Definitely overpriced at £80 per night.

Shower didn’t work, dreadful smell from the drains in the bathroom. Can’t be helped but church bells ringing through the night really disturbed our sleep

The only good thing out of my room was the warm quilt. The heating didn't work and the room was freezing, the carpets need ripping out and replacing and my room was on a steep slant because the flooring has moved over the years. To pay 75 pound for one night is way over the odds.

The welcome was friendly however I found that the general upkeep was poor . Carpet on entering room 10 was stained and needed cleaning , didn’t look like it had been hoovered for a while as hair etc on carpet . The shower wouldn’t stay up when power on. The kettle was full of bugs/flies so clearly not been checked . Sheets were clean at least but bed was uncomfortable-backache the following morning . Not a good experience overall

Floors were wonky. Pub drinks were flat. A fair bit overpriced for one night

Staff very approachable and pleasant.Lovely old building.Very noisy - party in room below . Could not find quiet space anywhere. Noisy music in bar area also. I would not have booked if had known about party. Don’t know how you can have this sort of thing in the info but would be good idea. Room old so draughty. Extra small heater in room so obviously staff know it is cold. Breakfast basic but owner fetched some fruit when I asked. For me not really value for money.Basic clean and friendly however.
