A very normal, average stay. The receptionist was a sweetheart. They have gated parking, which definitely seems to be needed in that area, but somebody has to open and close the gate every time you come and go, which is a bit of a nuisance. I probably would not stay there again.

We have staid at El Almendro for many years. It has been are go-to hotel when we have business, events, movies or dinner near the Metrocenter. Staff is always friendly and accomodating. Probably best deal in town.

We stayed here 1 night because of its close proximity to where we needed to be early the next morning. It was very quiet, clean and the staff was very friendly. They also have secure parking for additional peace of mind.

When I first arrived, there was a large solid gate that had to be opened by the staff to allow entrance. At first, I thought that would be an inconvenience, but it was not. The staff was super efficient about monitoring as I approached, and opening the gate for me. I had to leave early in the morning (4 AM) and the staff member was ready for me to open the gate for my departure. So what I thought was going to be an issue, was not. Everything else at the hotel was wonderful. My room was excellent, they had a small pool, which was refreshing And the staff was extremely helpful in so many ways. The location was also good, close to restaurants and a good sized shopping mall.

The hotel property and the rooms are very clean and welcoming. I moved to a larger studio when I discovered I needed to stay longer. Both beds were very comfortable, multiple quality pillows and high end sheets and blanket. A.C. worked perfect in both rooms. The staff are excellent in their duties and customer service. Fresh omelettes, fruit and coffee by the pool every morning was very nice. The outside of the hotel is very understated, but once you come into the property, it is very impressive and comfortable. It is walking distance to a convenience store, many restaurants and a mall that has many restaurants and stores to choose from. I reccomend this hotel if you are needing to be in this area.

Quiet location but close to mall and other attractions. However, other side of town from airport. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value.

This place is adorable, the people are wonderful. The breakfast is amazing. Dinner at the place across the street is incredible and the little boutique next to that is so cute. Check out the cafe molino too!

I was delighted in how beautiful the room was. The bathroom sink had a beautiful orange tile. The room was quite large with high ceiling. Amazing kitchen amenities. I really enjoyed the room and also the pool. There was a beautiful palm tree next to pool and many pretty flowered plants. A worker was carefully cutting old fern leaves off the fern plants. Very well cared for plants and rooms.

We stay at Hotel El Almendro each time we are in Managua. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, aiming to please. They are very accommodating by arranging transportation to and from the airport, and other locations. They also help with ordering from restaurants when you dont want to leave the hotel for a meal. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The facility is very peaceful in a very chaotic city. We enjoy the flora and water features. Hanging out by the pool is pleasant anytime of day or evening. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return again and again.

A little on the over priced side as I paid 100 $ per night. The staff was excellent. The shower had only a trickle of hot water so very disappointing. The pool is really a kiddie pool and walls so high, it’s really not a good location for sunbathing. It’s a great hotel, perfect for passing through and going on to the next city. There were more lavish rooms, I stayed in the basic with kitchenettes

We stay in Managua regularly, but this was our first time at Hotel El Almendro. The customer service was fantastic—very helpful. When we asked about where to eat locally, the manager (who was on her way out) offered to drive us the 3 block rather than give directions.
The bathroom was very large with lots of counter space. The bed was comfy. The room was a bit small to be able to lay out suitcases, but reasonable. The only minor inconvenience was that the water pressure is low, so showers are a bit wimpy. But, the hot water is very hot, so you can mix cold water in to help.
Breakfast was yummy, and the ambiance was superb.
Even though the hotel is in the city, it was quite quiet—no earplugs needed. We will definitely stay there again.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, with friendly and accommodating staff. I appreciated the details - the courtyards with fountains, tasty breakfasts, hot showers, and free bottles of water. The hotel is very close to the UCA bus station, a mall, and several good dining options. Unfortunately, you'll have to take a taxi at night as the neighborhood isn't the most walkable.

This is a nice little hotel right by the university. We wanted to be able to walk to the bus to Leon, and this was perfect. We arrived at the airport in the evening and were picked up by the taxi I arranged through the hotel ($15). We had dinner at a good restaurant right across the street that serves typical Nicaraguan fare, then settled in. The breakfast was nice- Gallo pinto, eggs, breads, fruit, coffee, juice. The air conditioning was too cold, but I should have asked them how to turn it off.
