We had the Palm suite. Not a lot of room if you’re using all the beds, but if you’re in Hawaii, you shouldn’t be in your room much anyways!! Love that there were two bathrooms! Helped a lot with a big family! Staff were ALL kind and friendly especially the valet guys! Every single one of them were professional and kind and FAST! Everything was within walking distance!

Layover in Honolulu before our cruise. Staff are great. Friendly, accommodating and efficient. Rooms are dated. Bathrooms are small. Bedrooms are small. No view from our balcony.

My stay was excellent. Staff was friendly kind and very informative. They had cooking equipment to rent out for free. An awesome swimming pool on the top floor sauna workout room. In about a 2 and a 1/2, or 5 minute walk if that to the beach. A lot of restaurants and shopping businesses in walking distance. Most of all very secure and safe.

We always stay at the Imperial everytime we go to Hawaii. The rooms are like condos plus you can't beat the location!

We only stayed overnight so not much to say. There were 4 of us - myself, my husband and our 2 boys (12 and 9yrs old). We walked in the room thinking it was pretty good size. Then we couldnt find the bed. The bed was tucked on the wall, so its a pull down bed right by the entry. The sofa that was right beside it, was a sofa bed so the beds were side by side. Had to move the dining table and dining chairs around to give some space to move around. Very tight after the beds were pulled down. Bathroom was tight even for 1person. Bathroom sink had no space for much. Bathroom mirror was a medicine cabinet where you could store your toothbrush and maybe some hair supplies/facial items. Bathroom door had black spots from the inside. Front desk called about 20-30mins upon check in, to ask if we had any questions or if we needed anything, which was nice. We asked for extra pillows for our boys. My husband and I setup the sofa bed, beddings were in the cabinets. The sofa bed had sand on it when pulled it open. Had to clean it up and tap sand off the bed with towels from the bathroom. It was nice that there were cups, plates, utensils etc in the kitchen. Loved that there was a mini kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, a small fridge and small dining area (although after beds were opened up, space became even tighter). Okay for an overnight trip. Might not be too good for a longer trip as we would usually buy stuff to bring home.

Love the location. Close to beach, restaurants and shopping. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Valet parking was worth the cost. Having a full kitchen is fantastic.

There were maggots in the bathroom. We found 3 on our 2nd night & 2 more the next day. The rooms need upgrading. Too small for 4 adults & 2 children. Valet staff are very nice, location was great. Loved the surrounding shops & restaurants.

Great location. Excellent value. Older, no frills property. We even had a partial ocean view. Main bathroom could use more options to hang towels and wet clothing away from the toilet. Very small but nice pool area. We would stay here again.

Amazing! Must book here! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Valet is a breeze! ($35 per night tho). Hotel is CLEAN. We had an amazing room! Koa suite! With a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Location is PERFECT! fast maybe 3-4 min walk to the beach. Hotel is right in the middle of Dining and shopping. If we were at the beach or just walking around the area it was easy to walk back to the room if we forgot anything. Must book here it’s absolutely amazing. Only me and my hubby stayed. 1 bedroom with King size bed and 2 bathrooms (2 bathrooms is a must) at night we would cozy up on the couch and watch a movie and each morning we would make our own breakfast and coffee. Very quiet , got great sleep. AC in all rooms works amazing! Launy onsite was great. It honestly felt like being at home. So easy.

My family and I love staying here. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. Hotel rooms are nice, spacious, and very clean. The pool is located on the rooftop and provides panoramic view of the mountains and ocean, which we enjoyed. They provided free parking as well which was a plus. Location is convenient to all shopping areas and eateries (walking distance). Definitely will be back!

It was a pleasant stay enjoying the relaxing and stunning ocean view on one side and the city view on the other the KOA top floor room has to offer.

The room was very dated. Very old hotel. Nice thing was it was a suite, so it had a small kitchenette with dishes, coffee pot, etc.

Had a great 5 night stay with 2 adults and a toddler. Stayed in the Banyan suite on the 19th floor. Very small view of the ocean was a nice surprise. Friendly staff and clean room. Great location.

This was perfect for a couple who like to prepare some simple meals for themselves. It’s also nice when you’re adjusting to a new time zone, because there is a separate room you can be in if you’re up at 2:00am and your partner isn’t. We also had fun with the free ukelele lesson!

The rooms are a little aged, but the cleanliness, service, friendliness and overall aloha make this our go-to location when we travel to Oahu, Hawaii each year

This property was minutes away from the beach and all the shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Valet parking is the only option at $35 per day but collecting the car was always quick and easy.
We stayed in a Palm 1-bedroom suite. The room is very small with a double bed in the bedroom, one Murphy bed and a pull-out couch in the sitting area. We did not use the kitchen amenities.
The washrooms were very small. Those with long legs would have to sit on the toilet sideways as your knees would hit the bathtub. The showers were on the run down side with mildew stains in the grout.
We had a ceiling leak in our bathroom, they fixed the leak in the unit above but did not repair the ceiling, only cleaned up our bathroom. We also had draining issues with the tubs and they were able to fix that.
We don’t get a chance to use the hot tub as there was a party using one tub and the other one was closed down.
Overall pleasant stay but we normally stay at the Marriott chain hotels so this was a little different.

It was a great stay. The hotel had everything I needed. Shops and restaurants are just downstairs and few feet away. There’s an amazing bar on the 27th floor and the pool is also there too. Amazing experience. The staffs were amazing too.

Close to everything in the urban part of wakiki beach. Close to beaches. People at this property are wonderful! There is some event for guests daily, they take place in a rooftop with breathtaking views. The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the lovely people of Imperial kept our luggage while we explored on the day of our departure. A great stay!

You get what you pay for. This property is average. Clean, safe, and comfortable but no luxury.
6.0 / 10.0
I gave this resort a 3 star because I felt it was average, nothing bad, but it was very average. It was clean and safe, and very nice that it was connected to an ABC store and a Denny’s. There was nothing luxury about it, but again, that was reflected in the price. While we paid almost $300 a night, that was cheaper than most and it WAS within walking distance of the beach.

The rooms were clean and staff was very friendly. Centrally located in the best area for shopping dining and beach access. The hotel is definitely worth the money! I would definitely bring my entire family here next time I visit.

Great space for family! Two bathrooms really helped when we needed to get going in the morning with teenagers. Balcony even had view of ocean. Great central location if you want to be in Waikiki. Elevators were slow (like most in large Waikiki hotels). Check in was slow. Valet was good and employees friendly. Mattress could be better.

Central to everything.

Good stay overall - the room was nice, staff were great and location was convenient. I wasn’t a fan of the valet parking as it's a problem when they're busy and you're in a rush, but it worked out on this occasion. My main issue was the lift down bed in my room - I get that it helps with space, but that is CHEAP and I expect more for a $300 room.
4.0 / 10.0
Imperial is in a great location on Lewers Street, 5 mins walk to beach. the rooms were a little tired and uninspiring, but we didn't spend much time there so didn't bother us. we had 4 adults using all 3 beds which made it a little cramped and meant no sofa or table to be used. main bed and murphy bed were very comfortable, sofa bed probably only suit 1 person on it. kitchen was great to have as was 2 bathrooms. Staff were very friendly and valet parking a bonus. We would stay again.
