The facilities at Riad Rcif are absolutely breathtaking. Feels like staying in a (very comfortable) museum. Also the best A/C and best showers we had in all of Morocco. I normally don’t like pushy help, but the owner’s insistence that we eat at the nearby restaurant and use his volunteer guides was invaluable. I never have trouble navigating new spaces, but the medina is insanely easy to get lost in.

It's buried in the heart of the Medina and therefore difficult to access. The service was fairly poor with the manager sleeping at checkout time. We also weren't shown to our room but left in the reception area drinking the complementary tea upon arrival. The upstairs terrace for breakfast is good.

An amazing house with stunning decorations and city views. A fantastic place, very impressive. Breakfast and dinner are great. Turkish bath is fun. Everything is perfect. Love to visit again.

Riad Rcif in Fez, Morocco is a true gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious and authentic Moroccan experience. From the moment you step through the door, you are transported to a serene oasis that is beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan furnishings and artwork. The Riad's courtyard is especially breathtaking, with its tranquil pool and lush greenery that creates a peaceful atmosphere.
One of the standout features of Riad Rcif is its excellent staff, who go above and beyond to ensure that guests have an enjoyable stay. In particular, Aymane is a member of staff who truly stands out. He is an exceptional host who greets guests with a warm smile and provides helpful recommendations on places to see and things to do in Fez. Aymane is dedicated to making guests feel comfortable and at home, and his attention to detail is evident in the small touches that he adds to each guest's experience.
Overall, I highly recommend Riad Rcif to anyone visiting Fez. Its beautiful architecture, stunning decor, and exceptional staff make for an unforgettable stay. And with Aymane as a part of the team, you are sure to be well taken care of and made to feel right at home.

We had an incredible stay at Riad Rcif. Finding the Riad is a bit overwhelming at first as the Medina is chaotic and tight. Keep your head up and you’ll eventually see signs for Riad Rcif and Alif, which are sister properties. Follow these signs! Don’t let people try to guide you as they will ask for money. The signs are very clearly laid out, thank you to the hotel team! The sign “Place Rcif” take you back out of the Medina.
Once you find the Riad….it’s even better than the photos, which is rare! The site is gorgeous, but the best part are the staff working there - they are so warm, helpful and kind. Hassan helped us with finding the parking lot, Ayman was always available for restaurant recommendations and the whole team (including their younger friend whose name we missed) were always smiling and making our days better, especially at breakfast! Props to the team.
It’s important to manage your expectations when booking any Riad in the Medina - it’s loud, old and confusing. If you’re okay with this, you’ll have an incredible time exploring!
A word of caution about the tour guide the hotel recommends - it is a commercial tour. This was interesting, as we saw leather, copper, weaving, ceramic districts etc, but may not be for everyone. The tour is 250MAD for 4 people for 3 hours, but he also gets you to pay 160MAD in advance to cover your “entrance fees”.
Parking is ~10min walk, 30MAD/day. Lovely attendants and we felt totally safe leaving our car there.

Beautiful hotel, like staying in a royal palace. Staff was amazing, took care of every request. Huge rooms, hot water, comfortable bed. Our only complaints were the lighting is very dim in the rooms, and our shower had only 1/4 of a glass door so it was very difficult to not get water all over the floor. Location is well marked but still very easy to get lost in the medina of fes, be prepared and dont get hustled by locals for help finding the place, call the hotel or text on whatsapp and they will make sure you get what you need or come and meet you… Also amazing view from rooftop terrace of entire old city, and great breakfast included

This was such an authentic Riad and it was located in the medina. It is currently adding a new wing and this wing will be a great addition and will include an elevator.

Beautiful riad. The staff - Anas and Adile - are very attentive and helpful. Dinner at the riad is great, too.

Loved this riad, and the staff were so friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay there good. The only drawback is the location! Its definitely hidden inside the medina through windy pathways, and our first day there was a disaster, trying to find the place with our luggage on google maps, and hauling our luggage there (think at one point we wound up accidentally going through the fish market with our luggage!). Word of advice: hire one of the porters to take you to the riad (should be between 10-30 dhs, but will be worth it until you know how to get there yourself). Also, the riad offers tour of the medina, through a guide they use, called Abdul. I don't recommend him because he overcharged us for the taxis we took (if the meter said 15dhs, he asked us to pay the taxi 30 dhs), and did something similar when we grabbed sandwiches.Perhaps he assumes that because you're a tourist, you can afford to pay extra? Wasn't impressed with this! The Riad itself though, was great, breakfast was good, and would recommend it.

The Riad and the individual rooms are beautiful. The staff is helpful and the breakfast is pleasant. I lowered the service score because we had an unpleasant experience with a tour guide they booked for us, but the staff helped us navigate through it.

The location of this hotel is really hard for us to find. Fès Médina is the most difficult Médina in Morocco. We are lost in the Médina at mid night with large luggage. When we call the number of the hotel the man who answer the phone ask us to settle this problem by ourselves impolitely. But when we reached the hotel, the staff are friendly. The hotel is so beautiful, just like what we saw in Marrakech palace. The hotel supply very stable hot water for bathing! And they provide very good breakfast. When we left the hotel, we finally got help from the hotel staff show the direction for a taxi. I recommend the hotel should provide a Fès-Médina map for guest, maybe this make guest much more easier to find the right way.

The property was lovely. It was so special to spend time in a beautifully restored riad from the 14th century. How often do you get to do that? But as nice as the riad was and the amenities they had to offer, the staff was incredible. Each of them was amazingly kind and helpful. They really made the stay extra special.

Hotel is decorated with Moroccan flair and charm. The gentleman that checked us in was super friendly and helpful. At check-in, they served Moroccan mint tea with sweets. Room is spacious for our family of four. We had dinner in the hotel and it was abundant and delicious. The staff was great, friendly and sociable. Breakfast was more than expected and served in the beautiful room. Overall, we were very please with the hotel. It’s location is a bit confusion when you enter the Medina but just pay someone a few Euro to bring you to the Riad.

It is wonderful riad that I stayed in Fez. The riad like an art piece, very beautiful. The room is big , clean, silent and very cosy. I enjoyed the sunset at the terrace. I love the breakfast, very tasty. The staff service is good. Especially a staff called Anas, he is helpful, gentle and I had a good impression on his friendly smile, he made me just like stay at home. He was aggressive to help us when we were facing some problem , and explained very detailed to make sure we understand. So thanks for him a lot.

The riad is stunning but is located at the wrong end of the medina for access to restaurants etc and is down several, dark, winding alleyways which are daunting at night. The staff, especially the ‘boss’ are rude, surly and unhelpful which is a shame as the interior of the riad is beautiful and it could be an oasis if the staff were friendly and helpful. I won’t be staying there on my next visit.

Our experience in Fez has been most memorable because of Faisal, the owner of Riad Rcif....right from the beginning to the very end, the service, the food, the comfort and most of all the glamourous old school charm of this place will make you come back here again and again. His suggestion for not only Fez but also the rest of Morocco are travelling with us even after we left the place. He introduced us to the best guide, Rachid and also the best touring agency, Pristigea Tours (Ibrahim and Hamid) who we are using for the rest of our trip in Morocco.
Faisal was so attentive about each and every guest from welcoming them personally to saying goodbye warmly. We talked to him from the airport and found his very professional staff waiting for us at the brim of the old town for guidance and help with the luggage.
The food at the Riad is also spectacularly presented and fresh.
Rooftop terrace has the most amazing views and photo ops ..not to forget the pigeons and turtles to add to the charm.
The lights, the tile work ...just breathtaking.
Most of all it was Faisal and his staff, the personalized and kind attention which won our hearts. Definitely coming back here with other family members.

The place itself was aesthetically appealing and clean, but our stay here was anything but pleasant.
The first thing that happened was the staff setting us up with a hustler who pretended to be a manager at the place. The hustler came to meet us at the hotel and it was difficult to get away from him. None of the staff members intervened or said anything. The hustler than took us to a variety of shops, trying to rope us into some sort of sketchy underground antique business.
Furthermore, the staff was highly unhelpful. Fes medina is really difficult to navigate and Riad Rcif is right in the middle of it. When we were navigating it at night, we had men following us and trying to "help us," which was a pretty scary situation. We then called the Riad for assistance but they essentially refused to help us at all, leaving us on our own. They gave us inadequate direction and told us to figure things out by ourselves. Additionally, the staff neglected to mention that some of the gates in the medina close at night, exacerbating the difficulties of navigating.
The main staff person we communicated with was always very short with us. We didn't have many demands or questions but he clearly didn't want to talk to us and gave unhelpful, short, and curt answers. They also forgot to turn on the hot water the first night.
We would not recommend staying here. In general, we would recommend seeking accommodations outside the medina if you want an anxiety free stay.

We loved very much the architecture. Our rooms bathroom was located atop steep steps. Its a challenge mounting these steps in order to reach the bathroom. Its even more a challenge in the darkness of the night. I can see why this might be a huge problem for people who are elderly, or are challenged physically. Guests should be informed so that they can select the room that suits their needs best.

Wonderful historic building inside the medina. Location is tricky. Very easy to get lost and a little scary at night. The details of the building are the reason for the stay. The room was fabulous and very comfortable. Staff was not very accommodating regarding dinner and breakfast times but overall experience was positive.

Staff was super helpful at everything, including arranging ride from the airport and a guide. Food from the kitchen was delicious. Property was super clean and gorgeous. My only issue was we didn’t have a trashcan or washcloths in our room. But legitimately that was our only problem with this place
