Single woman traveling alone for leisure. Stayed here in one of the partial beach view rooms on the 5th floor and felt very safe and comfortable. It is an older building and there are bars on the block. You will hear noise but nothing outrageous. The morning and evening views are great. The room I had was quite spacious for just me. Had a microwave and fridge. Daily cleaning service was not provided, but unsure if it is possible.

Cool that it's on the boardwalk. Great location. Fairly easy FREE street parking at night half a block away. My issue is the place is pretty dusty. And we heard doors slamming all night every single night we were there. We were in room 4 next to the check-in desk. And people would sit in the lobby and talk/laugh loudly very late into the night. Only one trash can in the bathroom.

rooms are very cheap looking , like the got everything from a yard sale , no decoration , floors are worn out … room looks nothing like the Picture ,bed made sounded like it was goto fall apart when you moved in it , no A/c the had a cheap plastic fan that was loud and they don’t have hotel keys they give you door codes … other then the view this place sucked

The location was awesome. Step out onto the beach. The price for the location was awesome as well. The room was clean and had a steamer to help smooth out clothing wrinkles. The faux wood floors are very noisy with the doors to the room being thin and not touching the floor, so the noise in the hotel echoes. Lots of drunk people came through from 2-3 AM so it was loud and difficult to sleep through. But it was a good value, just use the provided ear plugs ... even if you don't think you will need them.

Great location and helpful staff

We loved the room! Great view, comfortable bed, ocean breeze. Keypad locks meant no keys to lose.

The location was great and the front desk lady was helpful. However the bed in our room broke and we had to be moved to another room. The hotel gives a feel overall of low quality materials as a lamp in our new room was also broken and the key code to get in the hotel did not work and guests were left to open the door for each other.

The stay wasn’t ideal at all. The hotel doesn’t have A/C. The elevators take forever. When we got there we were told to park about a 10 min walk from the location and there was a lady that smelled terribly in the lobby. The room smelled like cigarettes. At night people were fighting outside which disturbed our sleep. The only ideal thing is how close to the Venice boardwalk it is.

The hotel is on the beach and they are dogs friendly so it’s perfect !!!!

Average at best ….check in staff had bad attitude ….and no air conditioning also for the price check in was 4 pm check out next day at 11 am really wow

Hot room with only a fan

Great hotel but no air conditioning

The location of this hotel was amazing, on the beach with stunning views from the window.
Facilities are where this hotel falls short. The fridge or freezer didn’t work, the fan (air con) was loud and not powerful enough. The shower wasn’t brilliant and there wasn’t any soap provided. Rooms are not refreshed throughout the stay and you’re not provided with what you’d need to give it a bit of a clean yourself (not ideal when bringing in the sand).
The staff were helpful and friendly and I would stay here again but for purely for the location only (and would come better prepared).

**Overall, the room was good! A mom with two teenagers, aged 14 and 16!**
**Reception:**
Generally difficult because there isn't always someone at the reception! We receive a code for the entrance door of the building and a code for our own room doors! So once check-in is done, the rest is simple!
**Bed and Bedding:**
Clean and simple, the beds are adequate. No cleaning service during the stay, but unlimited towels, so it was perfect for us!
**Kitchen:**
Be aware that there are no dishes available except for 2 glasses and 2 cups! No pan, no pot, no utensils, no toaster! Only a microwave, a small coffee maker, and a refrigerator with a freezer!
**Noise and Light:**
Lots of noise, lots of light. We travel with eye masks and earplugs, so the noise and light didn't bother us much, and we were on the side opposite the street, so the noise was a bit less noticeable!
**Location:**
The location is perfect, right in front of the beach and in the middle of the two large piers! Lots of homeless people, but no safety issues! They don't bother tourists! My 14-year-old son even bought a lot of food and walked among them at night to give it out, and it was super cool! That's the beauty of California—the mix between the beach, homelessness, and luxury!

Love the convenience of the location right on the beach, however, lack of A/C caused for sleeping with the window open, not fun when there’s a bum causing rukus at 3am, bed was incredibly comfortable

Great beachfront hotel, super cute room, really convenient that I had a refrigerator microwave and coffee machine.

Slow check in, front door a bit of a pain, hair all over the floor of our unit, blinds broken and people could see in from the street, had to ask for bed linens, pull out couch was horrible and kept splitting apart all night. It was nice to have a refrigerator but coffee was limited the next morning. Not enough for everyone in the room, no paper towels or anything to wash dishes in the kitchen. NOT worth over $400/night.

Second time staying here, and it went as expected. Perfect location for walking, plenty of dining and sight seeing options close by. My only gripe, was there was no AC in the rooms, which can get quite hot if you don’t close the blinds during the day. The however did produce a huge standing fan that made things comfy quickly. The apartment size fridge was a definite bonus. Will happily book and recommend, just be mindful no AC

The property was in a great location.
No place to park and check in.

It was loud outside, but it all stopped by 10-11 pm so sleeping was good. No Air conditioning but open windows controlled the temperature just fine.

The hotel is very nicely located at the end of the Venice Broadwalk, right at the border to Santa Monica. If you are interested in the art and beach live of the area you are absolutely in the right spot. Skating and surfing is also very easy here.
If you are traveling with the family, stay away. Venice is horribly overcrowded with homeless and a lot of them are heavily drug or alcohol addicted. I even saw a guy with a machete at the beach at 7 am. During the daytime it is safe but still there are many people around which are not suitable for kids.
It is very loud at the weekends, party is all around until about 1 am. So you need to be prepared for this.
Since corona the hotel has suspended room service, so if you are staying longer you need to clean your room yourself. Due to the nearby beach be prepared for lots of fine grained sand in your room. Other than that, the rooms are simple but nice.
One oddity during my stay was that I ordered uber eats to my room, it worked well nearly at all days until Friday. The woman at the counter wasn't allowing my uber delivery to the room for whatever reasons. She claimed it was an order from management and it was held up for security reasons. No idea what the supposed security risk of a uber eats delivery is but I actually requested this person to come up to my room. Pretty weird.

Definately returning! The view from room 16 was fantastic. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The price was perfect for the late night commotion from the homeless. The complimentary ear plugs were truely appreciated!

The shower only had one temperature, which was really hot!!! The pillows on the bed could have been a little softer.

It was a beautiful stay. View and weather simply amazing. James was so super kind and professional. He made our stay even that much more enjoyable. Room was small but perfect for us. I’ll definitely be returning

Windows don’t lock. I advised the clerk in the front and she told me she would send someone to check it the following morning. We were on the second floor and there was people right by our windows all night.

Everything was good the first day until we brought McDonald’s into the room. Then the roaches (10 or more) started coming out of the cracks in the kitchen area. The desk attendant was nice enough to assign us to another room. The next morning the Orkin’s exterminator was there and I overheard them say at least 6 rooms have roaches. This was a living nightmare and I will never forget this horrible experience.

Old building but the service and staff were great. 5 min walk to food and beach.

The is no free parking at this location.
The closest parking will change you 45-50 $ over night. The hotel will give you a reference parking location where you can park for $20 a day.
During weekends it’s pretty loud outside if you’re facing the bar. Overall hotel in nice. It has great size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer.

There was no one at the front desk to let us in the building when we arrived to check in. Doors were locked with no indication of when or how to get in. Once in, staff was not friendly or apologetic. The air conditioning in the bed room did not work and the room was 80 degrees. Would not stay there again.

Was expecting a buffet/continental breakfast and was handed a bag with an apple and muffin a mini water bottle and juice. they say it is due to renovations, but if that’s the case, they should have advised this beforehand that.rooms were OK. Dot.

Only thing I would say that I didn’t like was hearing the footsteps above our room very consistently often but not a big deal at all
Would recommend 5/5

We stayed here last year for our 1st anniversary and loved it so much we came back this year for our second. They welcomed us with kindness and treated us with a bottle of wine for our anniversary. Everyone was lovely. We loved the views from our room where you can see the boardwalk and the ocean. We got to watch the full moon rise over the city skyline which was magical. Our room was comfy and the water was hot. The kitchenette was perfect to give us everything we needed. Thank you again!

It is so close to the beach which is amazing. Rooms are small and not ideal for getting ready in, but would stay again as the beach is right outside your door.

I loved this “surf hotel” the no AC wasn’t a problem, comfortable at night, during day about 4 pm was a little warm but not unbearable. I liked the Vibe. Alex and Joshua were great. Looking forward to my next trip out there. My mini fridge quit and it was promptly repaired. Will stay here again no doubt.
