Great blackouts, quiet room, amazing matress, pillows and linen. Liked the complimentary bottles of water in the rooms and the numerous toiletteries. Breakfast is also very good and with a great variety.

Staff is not helpful when you left something behind. I’ve booked a room from 7/22/22 - 7/26/24. I’ve checked out on 7/26/24 and leaved behind in room an Apple Airtag. GPS shows that it is at Doubletree by Hilton Santiago - Vitacura. I’ve called them and they said they would check it out and let me know by email. So far up today 8/9/24 still no news from them and GPS slows my Apple Airtag still in their Hotel. Very frustrated.

Clean room, fair location, excellent cleaning and a decent breakfast. However, much of the staff had a very unhelpful attitude towards solving issues. Perhaps this is a cultural difference but the time it took for anyone to attend to any issues and for room service to deliver items was ridiculously long. This wouldn’t have been an issue had they said upfront that it will take two hours for ice or almost three hours for someone to come and look at a leaky toilet, but the staff would always say on the phone “yes of course right away”. This was very unhelpful and frustrating. However, I do want to give a special shout-out to a male staff member (whose name I unfortunately cannot remember but perhaps he was the manager on duty for that shift?) working the evening shift (until 10pm) Thursday July 18 who was very helpful and did his utmost to ensure that I had a semi-enjoyable end of the stay despite the toilet breaking and me needing to change a room for the last night. There was also a younger gentleman working at the door on morning of the 19th of July who was very helpful and kind. These two were the best people in terms of customer service at the hotel. Overall, decent hotel, much better value for money than some others in the area but there are many members of staff whose attitude leaves much to be desired.

Enquired about earlier check in prior to arrival and told it’s possible if available, but didn’t expect to be charged an additional £69 on checkout! Further to this when I got to the room the door lock didn’t work and it took a maintenance engineer an hour to fix, so my early check in wasn’t relaxing at all!

The Double Tree staff are reasonably nice and professional. I arrived unusually early and for a 5 day stay and they allowed me to check in early. Without an extra charge. However a few problems emerged over the course of time. Which led me to believe that the focus of the hotel is now on outside events and customers. One example is that all of a sudden at lunch time a giant crowd descended on the hotel from the business district. It took 5 minutes for the soup to arrive but after waiting another 45 minutes for my chicken caesar salad i had to cancel the order and leave. As a bus tour was coming to pick me up! Another example is that the printer in the business centre as not hooked up properly. And i had to send the print job to the front desk. Not a big deal but made me wonder. That said the hotel is clean and conveniently located. Prices are reasonable too.

Great hotel in a great location. Easy to walk around the area where there are MANY restaurants and shopping opportunities. A shout out to Mario who was so helpful with suggestions for activities, dining and arrangements. BTW we really liked the dinner we had in the hotel restaurant. The coffee shop was a great option for a light breakfast. Warning, if you are looking for a late evening beverage, everything in the hotel closes by 10:30 and room service options were limited.

The AC was not enough to counter the effects of the sun through the large windows, even with the heavy drapes closed. The temperature never got below 23.5 my entire stay, even though I set the controls to 18. A maintainance worker tried to adjust the AC but said that it was working at the maximum. I was able to sleep with the AC on high at night blowing directly on me on the bed.

The hotel is close to a mall and excellent restaurants. Front desk staff and bellmen were all so helpful. My disappointment was with the restaurant staff, especially at breakfast. No one came for my beverage order and as soon as I sat down after getting food from the buffet, a server brought me the bill. No one returned to clear my plate and when I later got up to get some yogurt to take my medication, a server with glasses (Carlos, I believe ) told me the buffet was closed. I was in shock and couldn’t believe the lack of customer service.

Our confirmed reservation from Expedia stated we had breakfast for two and drinks and hors doeuvres. We were staying three nights but the hotel have not had a lounge for years so there were no drinks or hors doeuvres as we expected. They did give us each a drink ticket for coffee or wine when we arrived and on the last evening after I complained to multiple staff they gave us a an appetizer to share and each a drink. Not exactly what was promised on our reservation so very deceptive. We did pay extra to have a junior suite which was lovely.
