Wonderful stay! Nice surprise like stepping back in time with good ole fashioned wholesome atmosphere! No TV! Great place to relax and have nice conversations in the library, outside many sitting areas, walk to river or just around grounds!

The Guerneville Lodge was fantastic! When we got there, our room was too small and on the street so the owner moved us to a river view suite for only $30 more! He was very kind and accommodating and the property is beautiful! Highly recommend.

The owner and housekeeper were so friendly and welcoming! We literally felt like we were statimg in our own home while we were there! Such a gem location and very peaceful oasis! We are definitely going to stay there again next year!

Great property, great old building with lots of charm and beautiful grounds with easy access to the river. Easily walkable to town. If you want modern conveniences this is not the place for you. But if you prefer charm and character (including the people:) stay here.

Al was amazing to work with… our room was so cozy. Loved having the river below and the huge green space behind the hotel

I Came here with friends for my bachelor party, my groomsmen and I had an incredible experience!

The hot tub was nice. It was nice and dark on the patio allowing a nice view of the stars while having a good soak.
The common area was a big lodge room with a fire going which was a nice touch on a cold night.
The room was okay. The beds were comfy but small and next to the road so we heard every vehicle that passed.
It would be a great place to buy out for a big party.

This property is very rustic and difficult to find after dark. It's a beautifully situated spot on the Russian River during the season. It's very casual with a large lawn, fire pits, BBQ, basketball. Great for family gatherings when it's warm. My only contact with the owner was on the phone. Al helped me find the property. If you don't go after dark and don't care about things like properly installed smoke detectors, then you'll probably have a good stay. Also, it was pricey even for an off season resort. I'm from Monterey, CA But Guerneville is much smaller. Check pricing carefully. Some rooms are more expensive than the advertised price.

Amazing.

Quaint and cozy lodge by the river and just off Guerneville’s main strip. We came to get out of the city for the weekend and the vibe of this place really makes you feel like you’re away from it all. Thanks for having us!

The lodge is very conveniently located 2 minutes from downtown Guerneville. The property is easy to get to, very close to the Russian River, and though the rooms are fairly tiny, and walkway is slightly noisy and slippery, we enjoyed its rustic charm.

A great location on a busy event weekend. I love the rustic charm, the hospitality, the view of the river. The furnishings were homey and lodge style. The large room with a big fire place , the large deck and green space makes this a great river experience

It is an amazing, unique place, with tons of character and a real feel of being in a "lodge." The location is fabulous and all the "amenities" fit exactly with what we wanted to do. We'll be back!

if you are looking for upscale experience this isn't place for you. If you are looking to stay in a unique lodge with its own character with an amazing location, common kitchen area, meet and greet other guests. This is an amazing lodge for families, couples and elderly. We had an amazing stay and Elvin is great!

Really great stay. We came in Thursday and only one of the other 12 rooms was booked in March. The place is an old hunting lodge and it’s nestled among redwoods by the Russian River. Guests have the run of Downstairs including a stocked refrigerator and pots and pans to cook. Al, the owner is very cool and unique. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to be back. Go midweek if possible as it can be loud if you have a bunch of other guests.

It’s a fun old fashioned lodge with a comunal kitchen and a cool main room with a fire place and books. It’s a little rustic and rooms are oldish, but if you get a room facing the river and with a balcony, you will be happy. Rooms facing the street could be a little noisy , if one is sensitive.

Excellent time. The lodge is very rustic but it was clean and comfortable. The host was great with good stories and a genuine character. We hope to stay there again.

Cute, reasonably priced, walking distance to down town. Just needs more upkeep around cleaning.

Blankets were too few and thin for a sub-freezing winter night. Needed to run the heat so high that both my partner and I couldn't sleep well and woke up dehydrated.

The lodge is close to Main St, all the shops and restaurants. We especially enjoyed driving to the Armstrong Redwoods, which is quite close.

This property was quite lovely and right on the Russian River. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Just a heads up on staying in one of the family rooms. They have a bunk bed and a pull out bed and no separate queen bed. The pull out bed is small and mattress is super hard. The bunk bed takes up the entire room as its a massive piece of furniture.
There is no AC in the rooms and the windows don't have screens so you have to leave the windows open and its a bit of a spidery mess outside. Fortunately the spiders stay outside. The mosquitoes do come inside though.
Also the room faces the road so you hear all the road noise all night long.
The other rooms in the place are nice and spacious. The family room is just a bit less than desirable and at $350/night its pricey for what it is.

Great old fashion style lodge next to river. Very welcoming and comfortable.

Beautiful historical lodge. Good value. Only concern is acoustics. Can hear other guests. But they provide ear plugs. Nice breakfast snacks, good coffee, and a library to swoon over with a huge fireplace.

We stayed here because it was the only room left in town. Beds were uncomfortable, pillows were flat as a pancake, cobwebs everywhere in the room (walls, bathroom, windows), mold/mildew in shower, refrigeratordid not work and some of our food went bad. Then to top it off, when at breakfast, the cook was not masked and when setting down plate of eggs, large amount of spit came out of her mouth. Needless to say, we didn't eat.

Gorgeous, just absolutely beautiful. Quite, peaceful and fun. Dorthy rocks!!!

I can only give two stars and they are for the kind woman who runs the front desk.
Unfortunately this place is extremely run down and the deck and grounds are in need of a serious overhaul. The place is extremely loud. So unless you are the heaviest sleeper on the planet, be prepared to hear everything from your neighbors including nose blowing, teeth brushing and conversation. The conversation downstairs in the lobby/library even echoes/vibrates loudly to the second floor.
The deck and grounds look nothing like the pics. The Shower leaks rust when turned on.
The bed comforter definitely needed to be cleaned.
Definitely won’t stay here again.

I booked a suite and got a room that was 100 degrees, the windows had no screens ,what appeared to be mismatch thrift linens on the bed (heavily used) , the main house containing the library was locked, the room I booked was supposed to contain a kitchenette, this place would be great if it was actually like the listing described. Was totally disappointed and feel this place could be a great establishment if the effort was made to run it like a Buisness rather than an extra room or an air B&B
