This hotel is located in the middle of the action being that you’re high up there. You don’t really hear the craziness if that’s your thing then this is your Hotel. It was not my thing but best case scenario was this Hotel because you’re so high up that it’s safe quiet and comfortable.

Rooms are small. Ice machine did work. Godzilla balcony closed.

Kinda annoyed we spent so much money to experience this and we couldn’t even get on the terrace to take pictures with the Godzilla. Pillows were like rocks and the dryers were not working so we left with wet clothing.

I knew the size of the room would be small for the price but it was comfortable and I really liked the way the bathroom was partitioned . Bed was comfortable. Location was excellent for the things I wanted to do and I geeked out on the Godzilla theme. I thought it was quite secure given the location.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Fun to be in the middle of Shinjuku, and could find the hotel easily by the sign in the tall building, and ofc the Godzilla head! Comfy beds. Nice bar as well. Godzilla floor was fun, with gallery of photos in hall. Only recommendation would be to add recycling containers to rooms and hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Shinjuku. You can walk to countless shops/restaurants, and even Shinjuku station!
We didn't require our rooms to be cleaned during our trip, but it was really nice that there was always a bag of new towels and bottled water hanging on our door each day!

Perfect hotel for a short stay in the heart of Shinjuku, 5 mins walk to East Entrance of station.

Very good. I had a medical emergency and the staff was super helpful. I managed to have the issue settled well because of the help of the hotel staff. Excellent!

Super well located to transit options and major tourist sites. Easily accessible to airport, Disney, and major train options.

Hotel is nice located in great location. Beds are very firm and pillows are rock hard…other than that we liked it a lot.

This is the best experience I have had in a hotel because I felt like a kid being in Godzilla’s hotel.
The service is superb! My recognition to Liu (lovely lady). She was so warm and professional. She helped me with rates from the Shinjuku Gracery hotel website when I book directly from them.
The Godzilla theme is out of this world! The elevators, lounge, the Godzilla head and everything blew my mind. The rooms are perfect. Money well invested.

Nice hotel. Kept up well. They have a magnet to put on your door if you want your room cleaned that day which is convenient. Is like a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and a 2 minute walk if you take the limousine bus from the airport to Kabukicho tower. Loys of stores and restaurants close by. Even a disney store within a 10 min walk. 3 different arcades right across the street.the bus station to disneyland and disney sea is also across the street from the train station.

Great location, very near the Shinjuku Metro (East Exit). Right in the middle of all the action. Clean comfortable room.

A hotel with a good location however feels a bit dated. Area is a bit seedy but central to most things, maybe not the best for family’s with young children.

The dryers weren’t working properly. And the balcony where Godzillas head is was inaccessible. Besides that we loved it.

The lounge doesnt have any food, which is kind of annoying. And....its a loud area but super convenient to shinjuko station and more night life than anyone could possibly need.

The hotel is huge which makes it feel a bit like a train station. It’s in the very middle of very busy Shinjuku. Traveling with a 6 months old, it’s a bit too busy for our taste and also just in general we would prefer something a bit more chill (it’s VERY loud on the street with your classic tourist type everywhere). The hotel it self is ok. Rooms are small but clean and there is a coin laundry which makes it easy to wash clothes! The hotel breakfast seems to be run by a separate restaurant in the bottom of the building. We tried it one morning, and safe to say it was not worth it. The poorest breakfast buffet I have ever had, better off with something from Starbucks (which is also the only place you can have breakfast before 10am). I would not book again.

No longer allowed onto the Godzilla terrace but prices have increased despite removing the main reason for choosing this hotel over the dozens of others nearby. Disappointing.

Even thought this hotel is in the center of Kabukicho in Shinjuku, the room was very quiet at night and perfect for getting over jet lag. It is also known as the Godzilla hotel and the lobby area went with the Godzilla theme a bit but I did not think it was tacky or over done, believe it or not
The room was tiny, yes, but very clean and it had everything a solo traveler needs and the bed was comfortable. The ofuro (bath and bathing area) was a nice touch in the room for a true Japanese Onsen experience.
I should've purchased breakfast with my room, as I ended up eating in the buffet style restaurant next to the hotel, which was a good place to start the day.
Hectic location outside of the hotel, but walkable to everything in Shinjuku including Omoide Yokocho and the Golden Gai,

Great stay with my 8 yer old. The staff were super helpful and let us check in early after an overnight flight. Room was tiny but standard for Tokyo, and absolutely fine when you’re out all day anyway. The area is very convenient, lots of night life around but still felt safe for kids etc. The Godzilla theme is really fun and if you get lost you can always look for the Godzilla head in the sky!

This was not my first stay at Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, and while the hotel itself has not changed too much over the years, I'm sad to say the area around the hotel has changed a bit for the worse. Influencers and vloggers have repeatedly mentioned this hotel to the extent that the area around it is now really overrun with tourists, and the sort of seediness that goes along with too many tourists. It used to be a lively and quirky area, but it's now filthy and full of sketchy characters. I may be getting older, but it's not my scene anymore.
I still love the hotel - and I gave a good rating because my complaints are out of the hotel's control. The staff is lovely, the rooms are small but clean and practical, and Shinjuku is one of my favorite overall areas. Just go a few blocks away from the hotel for food and shopping. Shinjuku Station is only a 5 minute walk.
My advice if it's your first trip to Japan: Make your own itinerary and do your own research. Don't blindly follow the influencers!! Otherwise you'll miss out on some of the things that make Tokyo a really awesome place. And please be a good tourist... Tokyo is clearly at the end of it's patience with "bad tourists".

Really enjoyed our stay hotel v convenient for Shinjuku and the close by station, yes it’s in an adult entertainment area but always felt safe and no issues
Rooms and hotel v well kept rooms are small but this is Tokyo would recommend to others

One of if not the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in my life. Right in the heart of Shinjuku. There is an infinite amount of things to do around the area.

The Gracery hotel is very nice, clean and reasonable size rooms for Tokyo. The location is a short walk to the Shinjuku train station and there was always something in the area to entertain you.
Staff was excellent and very helpful.
Only disappointment, was window cleaning that shut off access to Godzilla deck during our staff. But would still highly recommend to others and would stay again when in Tokyo.

The rooms were very small with small windows. The hotel definitely needs an update. The bar in the lobby closes way to early 10pm with last call 930 pm

This was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. It was so clean, safe and convenient! It was so quiet too, which was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying there again. It’s an extremely convenient location, close to everything food and a big train station. Do yourself a favour and stay here.
