So far beyond my expectations. Wish I knew about this place years ago. Older building, beautiful decor, so spacious, all the amenities and more I could have needed. Just wish I had 2-3 days at least to stay instead of just one. Will bring my spouse and stay longer next time. If you’re looking for a place that’s out of the busy area of a city (but still within a 10-15 min drive of anything you need), this is wonderful. The Penthouse Suite was huge and I loved the balcony. This room isn’t for you if you require an elevator - two flights of stairs are steep, but not concern for me. Really wish I had more time to enjoy the ‘downtime’ - this suite was larger than my first apartment and one of the smallest rooms available. 1000% better than a hotel room

This is a beautiful historical home divided up into self-catering suites. Absolutely good value for the spacious rooms, private patio (downstairs), reasonably stocked kitchen, loving details, and elegant beauty of the place. I ran into the proprietor and she is a warm and welcoming person who built her dream bnb here.

We stayed in the Chapel Suite which was absolutely beautiful. Living room, huge kitchen, two full bathrooms and a king bed. The hosts provided an information booklet (electronically) ahead of check in which covered everything we needed to know. It was clean, comfortable and so charming. In hindsight, the only thing we would have done differently would be to have booked for all three nights of our long weekend.

We liked the privacy of the suite and private patio. Generally, the unit was clean and well equipped. The instructions were for the most part very clear. We did not like the small bathroom sink. The tv screen was too small for today’s standard.

Quaint but luxurious. Limestone walls and heated floors over the top. For such an old home it felt so fresh and clean and perfectly decorated. It is very professionally run, every angle is covered to insure you are comfortable and not needing any assistance to enjoy your peaceful tranquility. We will definitely be back.

Everything was picturesque and perfect. The view from the penthouse balcony was breathtaking. We enjoyed such a peaceful sunset and sunrise. It is so private and quiet in The Penthouse Suite. The suite was very spacious, beautifully decorated and full of historic charm.

A beautiful property in a peaceful, lovely setting. Check in was different but easy..We were on the 2nd floor and the stairs were a bit daunting but once up we were stunned by how beautiful, large and airy our suite was. Everything was spotless, beds were very comfortable, just lovely. A couple of things to know - no smart TV but there is a DVD player. Shower is really small, no bending over in there! If you're planning on using your own electric devices, bring an extension cord because outlets are few. Two things we would have liked: owners never responded to our required arrival text. Would have been nice to get a "welcome" back just to feel like they knew we were there. And having little signs around threatening fines for bad behavior (smoking, etc.) was kind of offputting. But otherwise, we absolutely loved this place and would recommend it highly.

This is the second time we have stayed, although the Penthouse was marvelous, the Greystone was beyond expectations and suited our stay perfectly. Marvelous spaces, decor, ambiance. Captain McKenzie's romantic dreams here may have escaped him but ours were met and exceeded in every way. The location only seems remote, but with barely a 10 minute drive to an unexpectedly charming downtown, this location is unmatched in providing a perfection of balance of access and seclusion..

Perfect place for a peaceful getaway: beautiful property tucked in quiet residential area, about 7 km from downtown. Sadly, the property is listed as For Sale. Hopefully it remains the welcoming Whitney Manor Suites!

Pictures does not do this place justice. It is nicer than bigger than it appears in the pictures. This is no fault of the Whitney Manor, but celphone started roaming to USA carrier because we are near the boarder.

A very unique property. We were in the Chapel Suite. This is a two story suite that could sleep 8 plus. Great kitchen and even an area to eat outside if you wished. Definitely relaxing and away from any hustle. worth looking at and considering if you are in the area.
