Great location of hotel.

Good bed, amazing shower, balcony overlooking the road and peace of mind for the duration of my stay --- could not ask for more. Everything in the city is in reasonable walking distance. Likely will return in a few days before heading back home.

A great location, walking distance to everywhere. Building is undergoing renovation so stairwell is dark and dingy, but don’t let this put you off…… rooms are fabulous, new and clean. Bathroom sparklingly clean, lots of hot water. Beds comfortable. Room very very quiet, no outside noise at all although street was bustling - very well insulated. Staff lovely and welcoming with good communication. A few things missing from room but I suspect these may come when renovation is complete. ie safe was locked (could have asked for it to be opened but it wasn’t a problem), no drinking glasses, a mini fridge for our water would be good and tea & coffee making would be really useful. Would definitely stay here again and would definately recommend due to location and comfort of room.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, carrying my big suitcase up the steep stairs for me (I didn’t ask them to!). The agreed to us leaving luggage before and after our check in. The room was comfortable with good facilities and a great location. We were at the back of the hostel so despite building works and bars downstairs (at the front of the hostel) we couldn’t hear any of the noise. We’d stay again!

The bed was comfortable, the room practical and the check-in efficient. I like the fact that there is codes on doors (no key to carry). The hotel location is very central. I spend a night there for 66€ so I definitely recommend this place for a short stay in Bilbao!

I booked this place due to the location and it didn’t disappoint!
Rooms are basic, but very clean. My only slight annoyance was there was only one working plug socket in the room.
Service was great. The guy behind the reception desk was super helpful, though had limited English.
Noise was a bit of an issue in the night - I think that as there’s no soft furnishings anywhere sound just echoes throughout all rooms, slightly annoying but not a huge problem.
If you’re looking for an affordable guesthouse and basing on an old town location I’d thoroughly recommend!

A real little gem behind an inconspicuous door of the street, an old wooden staircase like going back in time. Helpful friendly staff. Having a bit is Spanish was helpful when booking in. Rooms were basic but spotlessly clean. Great area in the old part of town.

It is a nice older hotel in the old part of the city where only pedestrians are allowed. My room and bathroom were both large, the breakfast was a typical Spanish breakfast: coffee, fresh orange juice, a croissant and tostada with tomatoes and olive oil.
There are two items to be aware of. First, there is no elevator and it is 26 stairs up to the lobby and 20 stairs up to each additional floor. Second, they do NOT have air conditioning, just a small fan in the room - I slept with the window open and fan at the foot of the bed with no sheet on, and it was still warm (they are having a heat wave in Europe).
Otherwise, I found the hotel to be very nice and in a great location, less than 10 minute walk from the train station and with many restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

Essentially booked because it was cheap and central but was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, the niceness of the breakfast and location generally. Had good nights sleep in spite of being right in the centre of the old town. Nice stay and good value for money.

Nice clean and quiet. Good beds

Great little hotel right in the middle of casco viejo area. Plenty bars and restaurants on the street and nice plazas nearby, but no noise in the room. Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast basic but ideal. We would definitely recommend for a weekend in Bilbao.

Pésima atención al cliente en la recepción
2.0

Room was very clean and the host was excellent. A little noise late at night since you are right above the tapas bar. No air condition but there was a fan in the room.

Very good and tranquil place. Nice area and very adequate service.

it's in a street of clubs. they don't provide quilt in summer

Great location in The Old Town, but the front room is extremely noisy, especially when the street musician begins playing electronic rock and roll at 10 pm. Clean room, but relatively austere.

Hotel & room are ok but I came home with about 30 bites like from moskitoes around my neck, arms and feet. I suspect that the room was infested by bedbugs because its too early in the year for moskitoes. It's a very unpleasant experience. I sent them an email without a response for three days.

A well-priced family-run hotel in old town. The hotel offers a good breakfast (fresh orange juice, coffee, croissant, bread with butter and jam), toiletries. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue could be a noisy street, but only until 11 pm.

Great lively location in the old town. Close to the main square and metro. Beware there is no lift which might be an issue for some people.

Hotel is basic but doable for a couple of nights. In.the heart of the old town. Plenty places to eat and many bars next to hotel. Good base. Take some toiletries with you. Those sachets available are useless.

Perfect central location. Walk to anywhere and close to the tram. Not fancy.

Central location, but terrible rooms: hot, not A/C, no fan available, VERY noisy.
Also wrong and misleading info from manager(s), we paid for 2 days but left after one sleepless night.

Such a cute hotel! I loved the old world feel and the balcony that looked out over the street. There is hustle and bustle of street life, but it quiets down enough to sleep. Comfy room, clean bathroom

Very nice hotel, but no A/C. It was really hot. Wonderful location and nice staff.

The location cant be beat. Inside the Casco Viejo of Bilbao is like traveling in time. Having said that, you will not find parking if you are driving, unless you park in the public underground at El Arenal a good 1.5 km from the hotel (we planned for that). During our arrival, the guy at the lobby was not very helpful when my wife had to carry the luggage three floors. As it is in a very lively area of the old town, you will have to deal with noise from the multiple restaurants around. That actually made it better for us.Anyone going to Bilbaos Casco Viejo for R&R, should better stay in the suburbs. Vascs are known for having dinner after 9 pm and pintxos and drinks well in to the early morning. We stayed up until 2 am and were able to have a good sleep after that.Be aware that the stairs are wood and may give a little, particularly if you are carrying heavy luggage.

It would be very good to have at least one English speaking tv program there.

Located in the heart of casco viejo. One block from the metro station. Rooms were small but comfortable. No AC. Ok wi-fi. Staff was very helpful.

It's in the middle of all the bars and restaurants. Also the hotel was very clean and had very friendly staff

Room was right above a busy street that had party goers drinking most of the night. Once the bars had packed up then the street cleaners came along and made a noise for hours. Air conditioning wasn't working so the door to the balcony had to be open.
Male receptionist (owner) wouldn't allow me to take an ex colleague to my room to share a drink before meeting up with other colleagues later.
No lift and the stairs are slanted and uneven. Not good if you suffer from any physical disability.
All in all, terrible.

Location is good, right in the middle of the Old Town. I parked in the Arenal car park which is 5 minutes walk away. Staff were friendly but the hotel and the room smelled strongly of tobacco smoke. Whether this is because it is in a shared building, because there are cafes outside, because it hasn't been decorated since smoking was banned, it was most unpleasant. The room was very noisy too, I finally had to resort to wearing earplugs to get to sleep.

I thought my room was a lot better than I expected - I booked late, aimed at cheap and cheerful, got an en suite room, also very quiet as it was at the back of the hotel, but that was good for me as I wasn't out late. The people at the hotel were friendly, the room was clean - that's what you hope for!
