Is an older property which is ok, you get what you pay for. The taps all leak which was frustrating, such a waste of water. Overall had a good night sleep.

Short walk to esplanade and beach. Air conditioner worked well. Mary Anne was welcoming. Great road trip stopover. Will come here again

WARNING: The photo bore no resemblance to the property. Judging from the height of feature palm, the advertisement was many years out of date. To add insult to injury, the manager told me I could cancel without penalty…which, of course, was a lie! Rundown and, in my opinion, deliberately misleading! I was ripped off. You have been warned!

Unit was very old and rundown. Not sure what the others were like. It was very clean which was a definite plus.

A little more attendance to pests would have made for a nicer stay

Avoid this place especially for what they were charging! Fibro (likely with asbestos in it) construction with multiple holes, exposing the fibres of the boards to the open air (not sealed/painted which would have made it safer). Well below basic and little to no flyscreens, so ventilation is poor unless you want to be bitten. Sounds from other units come straight through to yours, making me believe there is no insulation either, meaning it will be hot in summer. Floor felt uneven under carpet/lino, so either poor building quality or rotting floor. Laundry sink had no taps. Cold tap in bathroom sink didn't work, had to use kitchen to wash hands. No doors on any wardrobes. Shower looked pretty shocking but actually functioned... but no hook or rail in bathroom at all to hang a towel or clothes. Will not stay again and will be reporting the potential asbestos issues as well.

Close to beach but to noisy and had no hot water for our stay

The on-site manager George could not be more helpful, went out of his way in every way, we’ll be booking this for our fishing cliub .

Refurbished units nice inside, and got a good night sleep, but outside of property not appealing and could not see the bottom of pool and once kids jumped in the bottom had slimy leaves on the bottom and spiders around the pool.

The unit was not as shown in the photos on the website. Those photos are of the renovated apartments. The place is very old with damaged fittings, torn, damaged floor coverings. While every thing was very clean it is all in very poor condition. Bed and couch very old and uncomfortable.

The room was very bad condition. We were told we had an unrenovated unit but we weren’t expecting that bad, the cupboards were falling off and at the least they could get decent mattresses. I could feel the springs in the matters. Just make sure you get renovated when you book!

Do not stay here unless you are desperate

Was just a quick overnight stop, in late, out early, but receptionist met us promptly and was very accommodating, property was clean and comfortable, only one aircon for whole unit, but we we’re still cool enough.

Paid for 2 nights, stayed for 1. Property has permanent residents. And paper-thin walls, can listen to them scream at their kids all afternoon. Property does not look like the picture, there is no privacy fence and the swimming pool is open and next to the road/footpath. Car parking is on road. There are no refunds. Only suitable for tradies/workers needing a place to sleep for the night. Not suitable for holiday makers.

The upstairs unit we stayed in was excellent- very clean, it had all the essentials for a family hols and everything in the unit was in great condition.

Everything was great per price

This property provides good value for money, a short stroll from the beach, 2 bedrooms, sleeping up to 5 people. Comfortable beds, new fridge, microwave and carpets. On the outside the complex just looks like a block of double storey units, but on the inside it is so much more and surprisingly quiet.For the price paid , this is good value accommodation.

The bed I slept in was very comfortable and the sheets were clean.

My stay was short lived. On arrival waited for the manager to arrive to provide keys and let me into the unit, no management on site and they were at least a 10 minute drive away therefore nowhere to wait for them. I took the keys and had a quick look at the unit before heading out to get some provisions. On my return opened the kitchen cupboards to find several large cockroaches, the backdoor was open with no key available to lock the door, the front door was a ranchslider which opened into the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen - the curtain was coming off the rails and only covered half the window, there were food stains on the bench, there was a used beer bottle cap on top of the fridge plus several other issues. Units look nothing like the photos. Was offered an upgrade to their other motel which was about a 10 minute drive away - on inspection declined as the units toilet looked like it had just been used by a male person i.e. lid up, not looking like it had been professionally cleaned. Had several conversations with manager, called Hotels.com and spoke to 2 staff both who promised to call me back in 10 minutes to see the outcome of my decisions re my stay - never heard from Hotels.com - still waiting.

The mosquito net on Windows and doors were ripped. Only had one small pan and one with holes that went on a steamer. Not much cutlery but enough to get by. Second night we were infested with flying beetles coming from under the door because someone had left an outside light on but they were everywhere in clothes. , on ceiling in bed on towels. We complained and they did come and clean it up as best they could but we were frightened all night. They promised a map as it was a bank holiday weekend and places were shut but the map never materialised. Bowen was however a lovely place once we found the centre but don't stay here.
